-: Fought Jasmine. Gon managed to take out a Magnemite *gasp* then promptly died. Berserker did damage to Steelix while reviving over and over, until he used a Hyper Potion and I sent out Takumi who tanked hits and revived/healed my team. Then I whittled Steelix down with Takumi and beat the second Magnemite with Berserker.
-: Received the Mineral Badge.

By the way, whenever I get around to doing the Kalos part of my monotype run; is Exp. Share allowed? If not I'll just use four pokemon but if it is allowed then I'll rotate with ten pokemon so I don't make the challenge too easy. Someone told me that the game was pretty balanced if you use 10-12 pokemon in rotation rather than only six that get totally jacked very quickly. I'm actually kind of looking forward to trying the rotation thing so if it's not allowed I'd like to get shot down now while I'm not excited or anything. I couldn't see any rule related to exp. share on the first post.

any word on this?

Just a tip, I will be using the Universal Pokemon Randomizer so I'm able to evolve Kadabra. According to its site, Kadabra will evolve at level 37.

Blue Update 1:

-Sped through the game until I could catch an Abra north of Cerulean
-Caught Neo the Abra, my first team member!
-Used Wait to grind Neo up to level 16 to evolve, then stopped playing

-Traveled back to Vermillion and went to the route to the east
-Caught Somnos the Drowzee, my newest team member
-Wrecked everyone on the S.S. Anne with Neo while switch-training Somnos
-Got Cut, and taught it to Wait
-Remembered the Mr. Mime trade, and went and caught an Abra
-Traded Abra for Mr. Mime, then saw how horrible Mr. Mime's 1st gen moveset is, so I boxed it
-Fought the trainer's in Lt. Surge's gym, then spent forever on that stupid trash can puzzle (Seriously, who thought this was a good idea????
-Destroyed Lt. Surge with Somnos and Neo
-As a result of the battle with Lt. Surge, Somnos evolved into Hypno!
-Went back to Cerulean, traveled east, and wandered through Rock Tunnel until I found the exit
-Got to Lavender, and immeadiately went west to Celadon
-Bought a Fresh Water and gave it to the guard
-Destroyed Erika and her gym trainers with Neo and Somnos (I wonder, why is almost every grass type in Gen 1 Grass/Poison?)
-Got rid of Team Rocket and Giovanni at the Celadon Game Corner
-Sometime during the Game Corner Rocket base, Neo evolved into Alakazam!
-Went back to Lavender and wrecked Blue at the Pokemon Tower
-Beat Marowak and Team Rocket at Pokemon Tower, and got the Poke Flute from Mr. Fuji
-Used the Poke Flute on the Snorlax south of Lavender, caught it because I could, and boxed it
-Got the Super Rod from the Fishing Guru, and made it to Fuschia
-Used the Super Rod south of Fushcia to catch Misty the Staryu, my first new member in what felt like a while
-Went to the Safari Zone and caught Palmer the Exeggcute, the 2nd new member in a row
-Went east of Cerulean and used the Super Rod to catch a Poliwhirl
-Traded Poliwhirl in Cerulean for LOLA the Jynx, who I believe is my final team member!

Just wondering, what should I do considering early Dark types like Poochyena? Neither of the 2 Psychics I can get before Dewford, Ralts and Abra, can learn anything to hit Dark types by level up, and I know for a fact that at least 1 of the 2 early Aqua grunts uses Poochyena, so I'd be completely stuck. Should I just keep Treecko until I get something, a TM or a Pokemon, that can hurt Darks?

EDIT: I really need to know what to do about Poochyena soon, because the very first trainer west of Oldale, who is completely unavoidable, uses a Poochyena, so I literally cannot move on until I know what would be allowed within the rules of the challenge.

As far as I know there's nothing about this in the OP. In my Abra solo run I genned its least powerful egg move in (Knock Off for Gen 4 I believe). It's what I would do in this situation. I looked Ralts up and it has no damaging egg moves (making it even more annoying), but I'd gen in Will-O-Wisp because you could defeat a Poochyena with it, the only thing you have to do is keep your Ralts alive.
I don't know if this is allowed either, so if you want to get on with your challenge and be sure I'd guess you could PM the OP?

This was the first run I decided to record and I had quite a lot of fun doing it. You do think a lot more about not making any mistakes (and I made quite the few), but I still made it through victorious.
