The Monotype Challenge

Woohoo! Johto's done! Or should I say Kanto? Whatever, Pokemon Crystal is Finished! I thought this was gonna be the same thing as Kanto all over again, but it wasn't. Gyarados wasn't really good this time and I don't know why.

The Journey​

This is when I'd show Pictures of be beating each gym, then explain how I managed to beat them. But I lost all my pictures up to the E4.

Got em'.

Hey! It's Rush! I caught him on Route 32, man, he was such a problem to evolve, but when he did I finally managed to beat Silver in Azalea with him.

Next is Tail. I absolutely would not have been able to do this without him, yet I still feel like he didn't do much.

Rive, was yet again, amazing. He could take hit after hit, then send an OHKO right there way. And if they ever set up anything, you'd better believe he's gonna Psych Up them.

And Last, but not least, Wave! We was pretty much the same as Rive, but without the OHKO.

And that was Johto!

Nothing really happened in Kanto. So I grinded my team to Lv.60 and managed to beat Red in a really close fight.

So yh, I put this off for a longtime. Now that I have more freetime, time to do more of this, starting off with Emerald.

Pokemon Emerald

Road to 1st Gym Badge
-Chose Torchic as my starter (nicknamed Mustang)
-Went to Route 103 and beat May (nothing to say about this)
-Returned to Littleroot town and got the pokedex and pokeballs.
-Got the running shoes as well.
-Caught a Zigzagoon as a HM slave (Why are they so difficult to find in the wild?)
-Got to Petalburg city and saw my Dad and Wally.
-Helped Wally catch a pokemon.
-Met with Scott as I left Petalburg City.
-Went to Petalburg Woods and beat the Team Aqua grunt.
-Got to Rustboro City and got HM01 Cut.
-Mustang grew to Lvl 16 and evolved into Combusken.
-Went into Rustboro gym and beat Roxanne (Easy fight).

Road to 2nd Gym Badge
-Went to Rusturf tunnel and beat the Team Aqua grunt again.
-Returned the Devon goods to the Devon guy and got the letter and pokenav.
-Beat May (2nd Rival battle).
-Got to Dewford Town.
-Went into Granite cave and gave the letter to Steven.
-Returned to Rustboro and got the Exp. share.
-Returned to Dewford Town and went into the gym.
-Beat Brawly (His Makuhita gave me a few problems but wasn't too difficult other than that).

Road to 3rd Gym Badge
-Went through Route 109 and got to Slateport City.
-Went into Slateport Museum and beat Team Aqua grunts.
-Met Archie and gave Devon Goods to Capt. Stern.
-Went into Route 110 and Beat May (3rd battle, I'd just set up a few bulk ups on her Lombre before her Marshtomp came out.)
-Got to Mauville City and got the Mach bike and HM05 Rock Smash.
-Beat Wally in front of the gym.
-Went into the Gym and Beat Wattson (was still a bit difficult even though I was six levels above).

-Went into Fiery path and caught Torkoal (Nicknamed Nicole).
-Went ahead to Route 113 and caught a Slugma (Nicknamed Shelly).
-Returned to previous to train up new pokemon.
-Went to Verdanturf town and got HM04 Strength.
-Went through Route 113 and got to Fallabor Town (Torkoal survive two consecutive self-destructs).
-Went to Meteor Falls and met with Team Aqua and Team Magma grunts.
-Went to Mt. Chimney and beat Maxie (1st battle).
-Went through Jagged Pass and got to Lavaridge town.
-Went to Lavaridge gym and beat Flannery (wasn't too difficult although her Torkoal gave some problems.)

2. Cashed in all my money on Full Restores and Revives.
3. Tried the Elite Four.
4. Lorelei was hard but once i get to evolve my Dragonair, she was fairly easy between Dragonite and Charizard.
5. Bruno was meh. Surf for the Onix and Wing Attacks for the fighting-types.
6. I battled Agatha with half-team. I survived with an Aerodactyl at 3 HP.
7. Lance was meh. Dragonite rocked.
8. Pidgeot was two Ancientpowers from Aerodactyl. Blastoise was three Tbolts from Dragonite. I managed to set-up on the Exeggutor using my DD Gyarados. Ice Beam Eggmon. Surf Arcanine. EQ Alakazam. Surf Rhydon. It was fairly easy despite being almost six levels lower.
9. DONE! Off to HG!

-Went into the Space Station and beat Maxie and Tabitha with Steven.
-Went to Route 126-134 and Pacifidlog Town to do battle trainers.
-Went to Seafloor Cavern and beat Shelly and Archie.
-Went to Sootopolis City and talk to Steven and Wallace.
-Went to Sky Pillar and woke up Rayquaza.
-Returned to Sootopolis City and stop Kyogre and Groudon.

Sydney
-No analysis needed, everything was one shotted by Mustang.

Phoebe
Dusclops - Kept be annoying and using protect and wasting my pp. Mustang eventually beat it.
Banette - Was beaten by Nicole after a few flamethrowers.
Dusclops (2nd one) - Nicole eventually beat it, but a few flamethrowers and potions were needed.
Banette (2nd one) - One flamethrower from Fergie needed thanks to it being burned.
Sableye - Another Flamethrower, another burn from Fergie wins me the battle.

Glacia
Sealeo - One Brick Break crushes it
Walrein - Almost 1HKOed Mustang with Surf but fortunately it survived and beat it with 2 Brick Breaks.
Glalie - One Flamethrower from Fergie crisps it.
Sealeo (2nd One) - Follows the same fate as it's twin brother.
Glalie (2nd One) - Nicole takes out this Glalie with a Flamethrower.

Drake
Shelgon - Decided to set up Curses on it with Nicole and then took it out with a body slam.
Flygon - One Body slam does it in.
Salamence - Needed 2 Body Slams this time, so a few potions were needed to heal Nicole.
Kingdra - Mustang was somehow able to beat it with Brick Break even after it used smokescreen a few times.
Altaria - Fergie was somehow able to beat with 2 rock slides, even surviving a +1 double edge crit.

Wallace
Wailord - Stalled it out with sunny days and toxic from Amaterasu with Mustang finishing it off with Brick Break.
Ludicolo - Stalled it out with Toxic and sunny days.
Tentacruel - Mustang Ko'ed it with an earthquake.
Whiscash - Tried to stall it out with Toxic but he used 2 full restores. Mustang survived an eq and beat it with 3 brick breaks.
Milotic - Most annoying bout, as it should it be. Misclicked when I needed to use sunny day again, but fortunately Amaterasu survived on 2hp. He also freezed Amaterasu as well. Defeated by toxic.
Gyarados - Same tactic as I've done with most of these pokemon, toxic + sunny day = a happy life. It ko'ed Amaterasu though so Mustang beat it with a Brick Break and won me the challenge.

Ohh gawd. I'm doing bug in leaf green. Didn't think about going against green and on top of that i gave him a charizard. I am about to fight Blaine So that will also be a challenge in itself. So it seems like I'll be grinding for years lol.

Ultimate Fire Platinum - Update 2

Yet again taking my time between updates... This time I was actually playing a bit, Platinum has a good chunk of Game play between the 3rd and 8th gyms. Anyway, I was able to beat Cyrus and the 8th gym in one night! What a mighty accomplishment that is ;)

Spoiler:

- Pushed my way to Veilstone, Beat Maylene's gym while there.
- Went to Pastoria, Battled Barry and Crasher Wake for my 5th gym badge.
- Chased that Galactic Grunt, then returned to Hearthome to pick up Eevee from Bebe.
- Got to Celestic town, beat Cyrus, got surf and ran off to Canalave.
- Beat Roark's Father after beating Barry (again) and exploring Iron Island.
- Shot my way up to Snowpoint after clearing out two lakes.
- Beat the Ice lady, ran over to the last lake, and got lost on what to do next for a while.
- Finally realized that I had to talk to that grunt in Veilstone, then rummaged through their base with Looker.
- Freed the legendary beings and chased Cyrus into the Distortion world.
- Beat him (which was a pain) and Giratina, then promptly left the Distortion world.
- Made it to Sunyshore, beat the 8th gym, Saved.
- All three Pokemon evolved along the way :3
