For me, when Ash was turned to stone and Ash said to Pikachu to stay with the other Pikachu, I cried. Bearing in mind, I was around 8. Thinking about the old days, you never see episodes or films like that anymore. The first four films were at the cinema, then they died out. As they wasn't films, they were just something to introduce Pokémon.

It's hard to think the Pokémon series had some emotional moments.

When Buterfree left Ash in the original series. The music and setting and just about everything else was perfect, and the clipshow of Caterpie-Buterfree's life. It was a perfect moment all in all. :3

And when Pikachu nearly stayed in the woods, I think the same thing happened with the music and clipshow, I can't remember. Doesn't compare to the Buterfree scene though.

The Dustox episode was alot more emotional seeing it in Japanese.

Out of all the episodes I found "Gotta Catch Ya Later" to be the most dampening. Misty's goodbye came with a depressing range of emotion and an equally depressing parting, which I'm glad was accentuated - despite that I don't like that Misty left the main cast, it added drama and emotion to the series in a way that none of the Johto episodes did otherwise for me (despite that I feel the dub is a tad more sappy in comparison to the morbidness of the original Japanese version). Butterfree's goodbye is quite good as well, and the expression on Ash's, Misty's, and Brock's visages calmly reflect the change of events in that episode (as well as the calm in their faces reflecting it all).

Pikachu's Goodbye is very emotional as well - it adds a pensive quality and depth in tone that most other episodes don't. I was surprised when Ash reacted the way he did. It's very, very good, though I do think the dub once again made it a bit too sappy. But a great episode nontheless.

As for the Dustox episode, I can't find myself affected emotionally by the dub due to excessive strain in the VA's voice. In the Japanese version, there's a certain terseness of emotion in the Seiyuu's voice that makes the scene that much more emotional for me (and highlights the "by one's lonesome and parting" quality of it).

But as stated, I'd give it to Gotta Catch Ya Later. As for Pokémon movies..... dunno why, but I felt very moved by the the Power of One (Pokémon 2000). Something about the score in both the dub and the Japanese version works very well for me. Then again, I feel similarly about Pokémon Heroes, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, and Pokémon 4Ever, but if I had to choose, it'd be Pokémon 2000.

I'd say 'Gotta Catch Ya Later' was the most emotional-wise, and as for the movies.. the first movie, where Ash gets turned to stone. D: That part always gets me, for some reason. xD; Even though I've seen the movie so many times, that I've lost count.

    Oh, and the episode Pikachu's Goodbye.. ;~;

Well one episode I felt really bad for james Cacnea had to leave and there was a lot of emotions and feelings in that episode... Idk why, but I like that episode. lol

movie one. I havent seen gotta catch ya later yet (shame on me :P)
It doesnt make me cry as Ive reached a pretty much emo
    state.
    I dont cry.

Just remembered one, when Arbok and Weezing left. Was a good one, didn't cry. But seeing Team Rocket get beaten up by a Tyranitar made me 'cry', but with laughter.

definatly "gotta catch ya later" i hope someday misty makes a comeback. mistys song was very touching

"Gotta Catch Ya Later" was deeply saddening the first time I saw it. I just hated Bye-Bye Butterfree though. When Butterfree left, and it showed the slide show, and Ash cried and everything, I started laughing so hard it hurt. XD

The two most emotional moments in the Pokémon anime for me was when Misty left and when Butterfree flew away. Both of those scenes were beautifully created; the music was just right, the actions and statements of the characters. Neither of the scenes were treated as if they were being shown to five year olds, which is definitely what makes them so great. I didn't cry, but I definitely felt the depression and laughter building up inside of me.

A lot of the Pokémon movies have made me sad. Like when Ash got turned to stone and when Jirachi had to leave. o_o I get sad easily..

In that one episode "Do I hear a Ralts?" where Max had to bring that Ralts to the Pokémon Center. That made me sad too but for some reason the song that played made me want to laugh.

You see no drama in the DP episodes, just same story all over. They meet someone, new Pokémon, Team Rocket come along, then the next episode you see this 'training' they do. It just lacks that buzz and excitement like the old episodes and movies have.

I havn't seen much of the DP series, are there any good moments in there? And don't mention Chimchar, that was just pathetic really. Well the way it was done.

Damn it, I hate to be part of the group, but I gotta go with Pikachu's goodbye. Yeah, I was around 10 or something. But I was to macho to cry!!!

But I wrote it in my diary...

I remember my mum walked in when I was watching Pikachu's goodbye and she cried. Even though she hates cartoons and had no idea what Pokémon was. Although she cried when watching finding nemo..

The episode when Paul releases Chimchar for me... the part when Paul turns away and Ash commands it to battle really moved me for some reason. 0.0 *probably stupid*

    Sadly I don't think I remember Pikachu's Goodbye.

I think the Chimchar, Paul & Ash thing could of been done alot better. I never felt any sympathy for it.
