The most useless letter in the alphabet.

I think the most useless letter is J.. for the J sound you can just use variations of G or GH, GI, etc
 
Most useless letter to me is Q, like everyone else.

I rarely use words that have Q, or begin with Q. xO
 
Without the letter Q though, how would you say 'quiet'? You can't replace Q with other letter combos...so it's needed in my opinion.

The least necessary letter is X. Replace is with an 's' combo.

Worst combo over is 'ph'. Just replace it with an F....
 
but if we took out 'ph' phat farm would go out of business for calling people fat.

"kwiet"

i think c and q are useless, they're like synonym letters for k and s. and why does a q have to be followed by a u, i'd be less critical if q alone stood for the pronunciation of "kw" but it is what it is i guess
 
Um, W. Since it's like U but you double it? Well, W was always in my way with words.

I don't think there's any useless letter, but R kinda irks me. I can't pronounce it. D:
 
Depends on what alphabet. In the Spanish alphabet "Ch" is a pretty useless letter in my opinion. That, or I just don't understand why they can't put C-h.

x is pretty annoying, pointless, in that that it doesn't really ever make an "x" sound.
 
I've never thought that any of the letters in the English alphabet were useless or in any alphabet actually. They're not just there for fun. At one point or another someone realized that we needed Q or X or Z or any other letter and apparently enough people agreed to bring it this far. I mean they are just symbols that go with a sound and certain sounds aren't used as much as others. It's just the way life is.

It's by far th most uslss lttr in th nglish alphabt. I don't vn s any rason for its xistnc to bgin with. If I can mak a whol post without using a crtain lttr, it must b prtty uslss. XD

I have to agree with Q [being the most useless]. There aren't a lot of words that have "q" in it, and not a lot of names can be constructed with a "q" either. Although, the letter Q does make some words look fancy... like the word "coquette" ("cocket/coket/cocet"?).

X has even less words then Q

Probably with having "X" as the first letter, but there are actually a lot of words that has "x" in it, in general (experience, phoenix, exaggerate, etc.). Probably a little more than the words that have "q" in it. =/
 
'V' or 'Q' maybe? I do not see any letter that's useless, to be honest.
 
Well since I'm scandinavian our alphabet has 3 new letters. I'd say Q is pretty crap, X too, but annother rarely used is Å.
 
S. It's far from useless, but I hated it as a kid because whenever I tried to write in bubble letters the top half would always look way thicker than the bottom half.

And I love Q. Q and U are like the Minun and Plusle of the alphabet. D:
 
I definetly agree with everyone, Q is the most useless letter in the alphabet. :-)
