Personality: She has always been a sweet girl, innocent and pure. Her mother Sara has always told her to believe in true love no matter what, and one of her favourite hobbies is dreaming of the day that she'll finally meet her "one". She can sometimes be clumsy and oblivious to things happening around her too. She can never stand seeing others in pain and will risk anything to help them the best she can. However, her innocence seems to be dangerous – for herself. She had been deceived and hurt before quite a few times, though always recovering quickly afterwards. After "That Day" though, she has built a gigantic wall around herself, never letting anyone in, only peeking out through a tiny little hole once in a while herself.
"It is better to not feel anything at all…than to feel pain."
She's still the happy little girl she once was, but she locks herself inside her heart. At first she wanted no contact with the outside world whatsoever, but, being her helpful self, she just couldn't bear seeing others unhappy. So she smiles everyday, no matter how horrible she feels – haunted by nightmares every single night – and tries to brighten up everyone's day too. She tries to stay strong no matter what – so her loved ones won't worry about her. No one has ever seen her cry.
But she never lets her guard down, never accepts other people's help, never letting people "repay" her in return. She doesn't let anybody get close to her, and is feeling very hollow, empty and lonely deep inside. She works alone.
Mermaid Form Description: Her black bangs are a little too long, at times covering her beautiful, sparkling deep blue eyes. Her slick black hair trails down to a stop just before the end of her tail, and somewhat resembles the hairstyle of the girl from Death Note (can't really remember her name >o< sorry! and i cant post piccys yet T_T)
She wears a shimmering silver seashell top, and her tail is jet black with silver and blue "natural glitter". (Don't ask me what that is, I dunno either O.o XD) She wears her glossy black seashell locket everywhere, in which inside is her black pearl.
Human Form Description: Almost the same as her mermaid form, though her shiny jet black hair only reaches her waist. She has large, glittering blue eyes, with tiny flecks of silver (you won't see this unless you look really close – which is practically impossible). She is almost never seen without her trademark kawaii smile and her iPod/Headphones (whichever you prefer XD). She usually sports a tank top and super-short denim shorts in the summer and a hoodie with white fake fluffy fur around the hood and cuffs when its cold, paired with black jeans. Besides her uniform, blue, white, silver and black are practically the only colours she wear. She usually ties her hair with a pearl-blue ribbon. Her skin is quite pale, but not in a sickly way.
Voice Form Description: Again, pretty much the same as her mermaid form (except the clothing of course), but with some added jewelry. She wears some silver bangles, with silver ribbons tying her hair that now reaches to about the middle of her thigh. Her outfit consists of a silver glittery strapless top that shows the naval and a short black pleated mini-skirt. Also a-little-higher-than knee-high silver boots XD.
Bio: You know how sweet she is? Well, once her sweetness and naivety caused herself her whole family – which actually only consists of herself, her mother Sara and her father Gaito. Both her parents died in that tragic incident…using their last remaining strength to send her to the shore, on land, where it's safe – for that time being anyway. She was found by a middle-aged married couple, who already had a boy her same age – she had been 7 back then…extremely mature for her age, and extremely naïve at the same time. She had lived with them since, but one afternoon, when she was 10 and walking home from school with her bestfriend – the couple's child – she lost everything. Again. Her house had caught fire, taking her foster parents as well. She and that boy were sent into different orphanages, never having seen each other ever since.
When an old couple took her in…the male died a few months after, in a car crash. Two years later, when she was 12, the old woman died of a sudden heart attack…
And now Sekai lives on her own, age 15, with all her pet friends that she found unwanted on the streets…those animals were her only true friends. It wasn't that she wasn't likable and popular, it was just that whenever someone tried to get closer to her she would push them away silently, as she was convinced that whoever got too close to her would suffer. It was a lesson she had learnt from Cruel Fate.
Of course, she had not forgotten her identity as the 8th mermaid princess. She was currently trying to find the other 7…without much success.
