Misty looks awesome, and that looks like Ash wiping tears out of her eyes! Cuteness!!!
But HEY! *bricks ML17* Her cheeks are for Ash only. ^__~
 
Even though Misty is hardly delicate enough to have other people wipe her tears, it's a wonderful piece and deserves the highest acclaim...the talent at Miyabic room is always getting better, which seems impossible seeing as how they're already amazing, but it just doesn't end...
 
As for why I like Misty? Simple enough. She's strong-willed, stubborn, and doesn't give in to self-pity. She's my ideal of a female persona, not some drugged-up, weak-willed whore like the ones I see around school. Plus, she's not a pathetic emo kid.

Granted, that was before the evil leech-creature sucked almost all of that character away from her, but I digress.
 
Leech creature? Togepi eh? Nah, it showed Misty's motherly and caring side. =3 One that we don't see too often.
 
And one that Misty didn't need to have, as it was incredibly out of character for her and caused her to become a hollow shell of her former self...unrecognizable in personality to the point of becoming a completely different and tragically static character.
 
I hate when they suddenly change a persons personality... It really ruins the whole character development they had done over the past few years...
 
Two seasons of awesome-ness, then a slow, grinding death before she was blessedly (as far as I'm concerned) taken away. In all honesty, I'd rather not see her return to the show.

Why do I speak such blasphemy? Consider first, the entire Johto arc wherein she was very nearly as bland as May. Three seasons of that was horrid, and I doubt a reintroduction would be much better, judging by the episodes she HAS appeared in since she left. The Housos were enjoyable, but I thought that the actual two-episode arc was painful, as she had become even more bland since leaving. I doubt that things would improve if she permanantly returned to the show. It is indeed lamantable, but true, I think. No amount of physical attraction can make up for what was lost emotionally. I shudder to think about what would happen if she did indeed return. I miss her, yes, but I still have P2K, the Orange Islands, and Kanto episodes stored away. That is who she truly was, regardlesss of any furutre appearances and returns. Anything else is a mockery of the wonderful character that I fell in love with.

Secondly, appearance itself. Consider how she changed between her leaving the show and temporary reappearance. I've already ranted, as has Kaga (see pg. 123) on how Maay is fanservice. Looking at Misty at the end of Johto and her return, she too, has become fanservice. It's sickening, and I don't want to see it. Again, I'm much happier without her returning to further destroy what hope I had of a strong-willed, independant female in a popular TV show.

very interesting! nintendo will find it interesting too if you e-mail them at there official website, Nintendo of America.

misty's personality is genuine. having her back may or may not cause an 'artificial personality'. she may appear as a rejuvenated person emotionally at first glance but will maintain the same persona. and gradually show true love and romance openly with ash as time passes by.

I agree with all of you guys on how they make Misty too "motherly" in the new Battle Frontier episodes. When she came back for those three episodes, the writers took all her character away from her. ROOAAR. I'm angry :(
 
I agree Misty was so firm in her speech wen she met Ash in the Kanto Region.
But the arrival of Togepi ruined evrything now she has Marill.I really sad Johto
is about 2 get over hope i miss that ep wen Misty leaves.
I bet Misty was a entire diff person wen she leaves Ash.

When Misty comes back, the writers will insert some firey-Misty moments to try to tell us that "Remember this Misty??" as often happens to characters which make reappearances. Though, the best they could do in the newer eps (where Misty meets Ash in his home) was to make Misty tease and wink at Ash twice. Ah well, let's keep hoping - what we Misty fans (and pokeshippers) do best. ;)

Well said Carina. =3 That's a nice idea, and like... we ALL hope Misty's gonna come back someday not too far from now.
 
I'd still rather she not. It's nice to dream, aye, and you two do detail a nice one, but if she comes back, that's not the way it's gonna happen. Right now, I would like to see the series end this Saturday with Max falling into a volcano, May dying of her crack addiction, Ash becoming an overnight millionaire then losing it all in stupid investments (let's face it, outside of a Pokemon battle, the boy ain't all that bright), Brock going off to live as a recluse, Delia and Prof. Oak getting married, finally Misty joining the Air Force, going triple-ace and winding up teaching dogfighting at their equivalent of Top Gun.

Bitter? Yeah, a little.

I agree, sis! Misty'll get her old fiery attitude back, and when that day comes, I'll bring popcorn and soda for the whole club :)
