Or they wanted flame to make up a stupid story! Well any more theories?
 
-_- Great.... Another Nimrod.. I think that the Chateau was just a place to catch Rotom and other ghost Pokemon and the ghost were just put in to show the house was haunted.
 
probably...hard to say, though. Nintendo is very mysterious that way. lol
 
I guess it's just a place where they needed to put Gastly, and then added Rotom. Though there's a tower near Solaceon, so this actually must have a purpose. It's just that it's hard to tell because of the lack of clues.

And they can't be Ditto, because Ditto copies the Pokémon it battles, and because you'd notice if you caught any Gastly there.

The Towers purpose is it has the Oval Stone and HM Strength. And no, I doubt Spiritomb has anything to do with it.
 
maybe, but like i've said before, its hard to say. it is Nintendo, so who knows? lol
 
I've been thinking and this is something I thought of:

Backlot could be a scientist who has been trying to fuse pokemon together. Something made him flee the old chateau and go to the mansion. Notice that the statue he has there and the one at the chateau are identicle. He must have taken it from the chateau. But why would he need it? What ever it does, it bring pokemon to it which helpes him gain subjects for his exparemints. Same thing at Eterna forest. Maby he used ghost pokemon to turn into the buttler and little girl to keep people away from the other statue. This would explain why he has both sides of the mansion guarded. Perhaps they are were his pokemon lab is, where he attemts to fuse pokemon.
 
no that makes a lot of sense! maybe someone with an ar should insert walk through walls end get passed by those people. but im not sure if theres anything there....
 
Something else I forgot to add is, when ever Backlot says there is a certant pokemon in his garden, he tells the buttler something. The buttler is obviously ordered to do something. It's hard to tell where he goes since when you leave he automatically comes back to his origonal spot next to Backlot. Hm, maby he tells the buttler to check in the lab. i'll have to go look and find more hints. Also, i'm having second thoughts on Rotom. Remember in SRE there was Castform. Castform didn't serve much of a purpose in the game but it does help on the theory of Rotom being a man made pokemon like castform.
 
By the way, someone on this thread already tried the AR walk through walls trick. There's actually nothing there... unless that's what they want us to think. DUN DUN DUUUUH!

Also, there's one Pokemon in the garden thats also MAn Made, Porygon! The lab idea makes sense, I said that the Old Chateau was a lab in disguise, but still being used. The Pokemon MAnsion makes sense thoug. Who said that the guard of the statute goes on break? It might be like, a switch inot the basement...

2AM to 4AM. Guess he doesn't need to sleep much. He might be a Banette in disguise, with insomnia...
 
There is NO switch on the statue! And why would the Old Chateau be a lab!? When you go u to the statue (this has been said already!) 'It's an expensive looking statue... ! You got your finger prints on it...
 
@Poke_Master1: Which statue because the one in the chateau says "...It's as if it is glaring..." and as for the one in the mansion, the guard will not let you touch it =\

Okay, my theory has changed a bit. What if the two statues attracted pokemon. That would explain why pokemon come to Backlot's garden and why there are alot of pokemon in Eterna forest. Okay, now lets go to Rotom. It's a plasma pokemon that can basically be a virus to electronics. We know Backlot lets people go in his garden to catch pokemon but why would someone with pokemon coming from left and right want to give that away for free? Now lets see, what would happen if rotom were to hack into the poke' ball's system? It would go to the source and make things go haywire all around the regions where poke' ball are used. That helps my theory on Backlot fusing pokemon. Fusing regular pokemon with Rotom.
