The Older Generation Pokemon Lovers (Older Generation of People Around 15-Adult)

Lol, I've finished Blue 10 times over an' every version at least 2 times. Tch, Ifinished Silver 3 times but Emerald only once. O_O
Horray! After 3 years of silence I finally played a TCG game over AIM... I lost both matches. ^^;; Tch, seems my lack of experience that build up over the years made me do st00pid things, like puttin' 30 energy cards in my deck an' 8 evolution lines. XD

Lol, I've played excessive amounts of time on my GBA SP on pkmn, tch, had a hard time convincin' my mom ta let me buy one since she thought it was under my age, but after she saw tha 3rd movie she was so impressed she just had ta give in. ^_^
 
*laughs* THERE'S a good topic for us! Since we're all Older Pokemon Fans, what do your parents think about it? (If you're still at home, that is).

My Mom thinks it's way below me. She's been begging me to give it up for years. She thinks that it's a little kids' cartoon... (along with all other manga and anime... which is insane, because Love Hina is NOT for little kids...) I have a hard time with it on a regular basis. But, she can't stop me when I decide I love something, so HA!
 
My parents don't really care. It's my money, my TV time, and my choice of internet sites. So as long as I buy the games and such myself, they don't see a problem with that. Besides, they know I'm nuts anyway, so if I want to be a geek about something *coughStarWars*cough*, they ain't stopping me. Though the do piss me off by saying manga is trashy reading material...
 
well phantom mew, do what I did when my parents told me Anime was for kids. I forced them to watch Mouse (not recommended for anyone who doesn't like excessive use of women's um... ... 'Gustos'.lol) after seeing how DEFINATLY un-childish most animes were, they got off my back.
 
*laughs* If I do that, they'll cut me off entirely!! I'm 16, and my dad still hates it when I watch PG-13 movies! :P
 
Well, I don't live with my ma anymore (moved out three years ago) but, she pretty much thinks all video games\anime is ugly. She doesn?t much go for anything fantasy based, but she likes murder mysteries :P.
My daddy..Well, he just sort of bunches all video games together and doesn?t mind what I do as long as I get my college work done :)

Hmm..I seem to be the senior member here...
 
Hmm, dad an' pretty much everyone else is oblivious ta pkmn, but my mom finally realised that games, animes an' pkmn ain't childish after I showed her a thing or two. ^_~
Lol, I'm gonna get her ta see alltha pkmn movies, so far she's only seen 1 an' 3 but I wanna get her ta see 2 too, since she finally realised,although she's still a bit puzzled by tha combination o' cute little creatures an' big beasts as well as tha combination between either moments o' playtime an' legendary quests, so I told her that pkmn actually presents life as it is, with both cute an' powerful; simple, joyful an' complex, serious.

Lol, I have some animes I wanna show ta her but I'm afraid that if she sees all those ppl gettin' killed with blood spillin' everwhere an' their leader Singin' "Ave Maria" while everyone screams in pain she might freak out, but meh, she's already startin' ta change her view on toons an' is finallystartin' ta be able ta tell silly European or US CARTOONS from serious jap ANIMES. ^_^
 
HAH! I have Ave Maria memorised to heart.

Well, I don't have many offline friends and they don't know that I like Pok?mon. I dunno if I would tell them, if they asked me, if I liked it....

Many poeple at my class don't taslk about Pok?mon in a nice.
I once heard them saying something like "Ohh, yes Pok?mon, I used to watch". They were saying this as if, they had been sick or something while watching it, it kinda sounded like: How could I ever have watched this?

This is very frightening me. I don't have many friends and they aren't that good friends.
Many people in class, tend not to like me that much, because I'm seen as very uncool and cold. Well, I don't dress like them, I don't smoke, I've nevber been really drunk, I don't like going out, this is making me uncool.
If they'd knew I like Pok?mon, they had something to joke about.

I'm not myself in school, I behave very different. I might really leave the impression that I don't care and have no feeling towards several things. That's not true.
I just can't be myself in front of these people, who use to make fun of other's interests.
 
Over 15? I guess that's me, considering I am 16 going on 17.
 
I've been out forever, fill me up, what are we talking about?
