(Mew is just a name, like Ichigo in both Tokyo Mew Mew and Bleach. Its an actual word in Japanese, spelt Myu. It is defined as the sound a cat makes, also Meow and Nya are. Remember, the Pokemon Mew is based on a cat and Tokyo Mew Mew's main character is part cat!)
