Honestly, if they're going to essentially make him a womanizing dirtbag like Glenn Quagmire from Family Guy, they shouldn't have him be among the cast (especially when it's people like them that gives us straight people a bad name, not to mention we're almost expected to act like that as otherwise, we'd be considered gay, as evidenced by how Bulma and Krillin claimed General Blue was gay simply because he wasn't attracted to Bulma, not whether he showed any attraction to Krillin.). He was cool back in Kanto, at least there, he actually did give valuable advice and wasn't some horny hounddog. But come Johto, they basically made him yet another Quagmire-type character (and to make matters worse, he doesn't even get to advertise the breeding aspect introduced in Generation II, despite the fact that his goal is to become the world's best breeder), and it only got worse in AG. Quite frankly, they should have removed him come AG, NOT Misty.
If they do bring him back, they should make SURE to avoid his skirt-chasing antics, and actually make sure he puts his goal to very good use. Oh, and if they DO have to have him being a lover, stick it to one girl character only, and make darn sure said girl character is not only a member of the main cast, but also roughly his age if not older.
