Well lookie, we have an entry (so I'm a bit slow in noticing, sue me) awesome work there Stevo...which brings up another interesting detail:

Your pics can be based on characters from Anime or Games as long as they are to do with the theam. So Stevo-kun's entry is the perfect example...though it comes from an Anime...it's still a mythical creature, so there is no wrong in that...Okies ^_-
 
I, too, shall try to help with the contest in FG's Absence. I SHALL ASSIST!

Thanks for saying what ya did ^^ I'm ganna put my heart into this contest cause one of my most favorite things to draw is considered a Mythical beast=3 , if at most
I expect to make this a big one xD.

Oh! That reminds me ( befor I ramble on XD)
Heres a update of Who I chose to do, It will be Salem star and Kakierie flying together in the grand canyon befor it became the wonder it is now =D Full of water and in all it's glory of waterfalls.
Though the backround isint started here is a part of Kokierie and a full fledge lineart id Salem star!
 
THAT IS FLIPPIN KILLER!!! WOO! SCHWEET! Now we have some COMPETITON!

I can't wait for the competition, this is just for fun, I don't think I will get anything but atleast I could be part of it XD. And yay! more entries.. should I be scared? o_o
 
^_^ Thanks FG and Cybex, I wish there was a way to do it in full modes insted of in segments, but I'm starting to put them together and I just need to sketch out the rough ends on the other pieces to finish the linart, I dont know full color detail on Kokierie for I just made him three weeks ago and his head was just made this week o_o he's in my story about dimars though, so some of his colors show up as I think back to it ^^.
At the same time Salem has been done befor ,again and again and again xD He's a dimar anchent tribe that has yet to be found. His wings are covered in a magical dust that has no purpose yet, while the swearls among then seem to keep everyone in high hopes that he will release them from their prison under Nira.

Oooh. I really like your drawing so far FNA! It's unique and really beautiful! Hope it does turn out the way you want it; it's always disappointing when you know a drawing could have been more than what it ends up as.

I have finally decided on a pose for my Griffons. Maybe I'll scan the rough of it when I actually make it look presentable... ^-^;;

Question on entry I'm thinking about

OK, since this month's theme is mythical creatures, I was thinking of drawing a Tengu.

Then, because Shiftry (Dirtengu in Japanese), is based on a Tengu, I was thinking of drawing that.

Now, my question is, can I draw a morph of Shiftry, since it's a Pokemon based on a mythological creature? Or is that not allowed in this months theme?

Thanx! ^^ Photobucket is takig an awfully long time to load it up since its big.
 
I think you can make anything original or from something els ^^ this months theme is in a way to help creative juices flow it seems lol. I think that may help you , ya can also look at the 6th page where it is mensioned. =3
