  • Are there any theories that more or less blew your mind? Something that you'd never have thought of yourself, but oddly enough makes sense?

For me, It has to be the SS ANNE truck easter egg........... Though not actually a theory, but it still was quite interesting and I played the game over in Pokemon Yellow just to find out if it was true.......... And lo and behold! There it was! I looked up lot's of facts and am still confused as to why that truck was placed there..........

I would like to request Karinmo to add the theory about the Lumiose City Ghost Girl

Time for me to be boring but this was definitely the Ditto = Mew theory. I only found out about it a few years ago and upon being presented all the facts I was just blown away. Same shiny color, both know transform, both pink originally, found in the location where experiments on Mewtwo were conducted.. jeez.
I wouldn't call it boring, considering you're far from the only one who was surprised by the theory :p I remember first finding out about it in the Did You Know Gaming Pokemon episode, and it definitely caught me off-guard, but people were literally going crazy in the comments section about the theory, and it kinda gives more depth to the games in a way. That they've actually been so subtle about it. I mean, it could be that it was just coincidence or lazy design, but I think it'd perfectly explain the origins of Ditto, and why it's so adaptable to just about anything, considering Mew is the ancestor of all Pokemon :p But I reckon that's a lot of failed experiments then :o

Yeahh, like you said, that's more of an easter egg, but I reckon that could fit into this club as well, since they tend to go hand in hand :p But yeah, theories have been made regarding the truck, but they're not really that elaborate, since there isn't much to go by, and I reckon it is just an easter egg. Further backing this up is the fact that the truck can be found in the same place again in the remakes, even though there's no way to get in there without cheating in those games. So I reckon it's just a nod back to the whole fuzz we saw about the truck back in the day, and personally, I think it might just've been a tile they'd tested out and eventually scrapped, and just didn't remove it from the spot, since they didn't think anyone would be able to get over there anyways :p

  • In the 5th grade, I read a list of pokemon theories for the very first time. Although I didn't pick theory hunting/puzzling/making after that for a very, very long time, I was shocked about the Kangashkhan-Cubone theory. I remember running around telling everyone I knew, the majority of which didn't care.
However, now I think the most shocking for me is the Akira-Mewtwo theory, the one that says that mewtwo is based on Akira. Because Akira, Mewtwo, just, squee!
I think the thing that surprised me the most about this one was that it seems like it's real. Y'know, the Ash in a coma theory, and the N being Zoroark theory are one thing, but the Akira/Mewtwo theory is another thing all together. It just makes so much sense, and it's too much to call it a coincidence. Also, when I first read it, I had been around the theories universe quite a bit, so it surprised me that there was something this apparent that I hadn't heard of yet.
When I showed it to my brother, he said that he had heard of it before, and shown it to me. Apparently, NostalgiaCritic had done a review of the first pokemon movie, and it was all about that theory. And he had shown it to me. I just hadn't remembered it. I do remember watching the video now, but I didn't know what Akira was at the time, so I don't think it stood out in my memory. That was also pretty shocking.

Also, can you please add the "Diance's relation to Carbink" theory to the "to be discussed" list? A video by TyranatarTube covers it pretty well, but it would be nice to discuss it here.

  • Name: TentacleFury
Favorite Theory: The War, AZ, and Red/Ash's Age.

To me all of these things are connected. (SUPER SPOILERS) The war happened almost 3000 Years ago. As we know from X and Y AZ is the king from that time. So let's address him first. This guy is HUGE. If Lysandre is about 6'3 then he has to be about 9 feet tall. I want know what exactly cursed him and his Pokemon to live that long. OR if that is the normal lifespan for people and Pokemon in the Pokemon World/Universe. If we remember back to the Anime there was a many instances when Pokemon waited centuries for their master's. Does AZ and his Floette confirm that the beings in this world live for long amounts of time like Asgardian's from the Marvel Universe? Or is this a by product from the war?

Now this may seem like a stretch, but I believe that is this theory is true then that is the reason why Ash is still 10 and why Red looks the same from Silver/Gold/HG/SS to Black/White/B2W2. If this world's time and space (Which if we remember are controlled by two legendary Pokemon) is governed in why that makes everyone age slowly and have a longer time at being young then it isn't hard to believe why the coming age is 10 and why these two protagonist have remain as young and they were at the beginning of their respective journeys. Another example of this is in the fourth Pokemon movie featuring Celebi. We meet the ten year old Oak. In his time they had to crank pokeballs and now in the future they were able to instantly transmit and collect Pokemon. Such feats would theoretically take hundreds of years. (think steam punk age coming into our modern age of digital things)

So in case I've lost you, I'm proposing that time is longer in the Pokemon world. Where it seems like we've seen Ash/Red for 15 plus years now be ten years old, in their world our fifteen years could be just one long year.

How long have you played PKMN?: Since Red and Blue so...since 1996. God I'm Old
Any special interests?: I love battling and making move lists for Pokemon. I consider myself a battle technician :D

  • As we all know there will always be hero before the current hero. Which leads me to this...Could it be that Giovanni was the first protagonist? There are many things that point to this. For example Pokemon Origins. Giovanni explicitly stated that he started with a Charmander and trained until it passed away. Which would explain his involvement and interest with the Pokemon Tower. My second example are the constant statues and pictures of Rhydon in Red/Blue/Green and FireRed and LeafGreen. There are also very early pictures of a character traveling with Rhydon. This might have been Giovanni. Rhyhorn could be the Pokemon that Giovanni acquired after he lost Charmander. I think he used Rhydon and became a legendary trainer but after the death of his beloved starter he couldn't move past it and decided that he could control the Pokemon world. With all that being said, I would love to see a series featuring a young Giovanni and his rise to darkness.

  • TentacleFury, that would be really cool. When you disregard the anime, there is a theory that Giovanni wasn't evil. Look it up for more. He was very rich, and also the owner of a casino. Think of how wealthy you get playing pokemon, and when done with the first game, how bored. A casino is all chance, and a place to spend money during the end game, and Mewtwo is a incredibly powerful pokemon , fought endgame as well, as kind of an extra. Perhaps he made Mewtwo because he was bored. So, this could be very possible.
But then again, his name WAS Giovanni. Just screams Italian Gangster.
On a side note, I have a theory to bring to the table. If anyone uses this in the future or a video, I want credits. I realize this is kind of selfish,(and don't want to say, DO NOT STEAL,)but I do want acclaim.
    So.
In the 8th game of Pokemon, Jesus will be a character pokemon.
I first thought of this with the kings. I found it weird in X when we had this ancient king dude who was just there. I was kinda like, "N did it first!", and annoyed. My brain did end that A and Z are the ends of the alphabet, while N is the 14, which didn't really tell me anything , but that doesn't really tell me anything, oh well. But then my brain made the connection when I heard some possible leaked info about Pokemon Plus and Minus.
If you do not know, a part of the plot is your friend, a reincarnation of a important person. Perhaps a king.
Look up more on the leaks. TyranatarTube did a video on it.
So, with these 3 kings, my atheist brain went to one of the only things it knew about Christianity. That when Jesus was born, there were 3 king dudes present. I originally thought that Jesus would be your friend, but it makes more sense if your friend is the third king.
Then I went into past games, up to gen 3, and reviewed my little knowledge of Christianity god earth make timeline thing. In which, the earth and land is created. After that, in gen 4, god banished satan to hell, and if you don't get that, watch any top ten poke theories video. So we already have a god theme. The Pokemon Jesus may be created by Arceas. And I don't care if I spelled that wrong, I'm not looking it up.
Now if we look at this once more, god created the earth in 7 days. On the 8th, OR 8th gen, he rested, and made Jesus or whatever. That's just a number thing, it's probably nothing.
ONE LAST THING I ALMOST FORGOT: (actually did but came back and edited it.) NAZ starts to spell Nazarouth, the place where Jesus was born. So if there is a character called Arouth... Forgive me if I spelled that wrong.
So yeah. Jesus Pokemon. And I just can't help but add...
Well, I WAS going to add a link here to a video, and it would have been hilarious, but I havn't reached 15 posts yet. So look up "Jesus is way cool" and click on the link.
Jesus was way cool. Why not have him in pokemon.
