XYLOPHONE
→ oak town
"Oh, right... I have this one too, I guess," Xylo said after a little while, having watched the pokémon introduce themselves to each other. He took up the pokéball of the monster he had caught just before meeting Chris. Well, monster wasn't really the right word. Fish.
Without a word, he sent the pokémon out. Magikarp wobbled on the ground in panic for a moment, before freezing and looking up at all the eyes looking at him. "Magi," he said.
"He's not very... impressive. I doubt he can do anything. Don't know why I caught him really, it wasn't even on purpose even," Xylo said, being slightly embarrassed about the creature.
It looked up at him with its big yet somehow small eyes. Without emotion. Suddenly, Princess fluttered up and kind of slapped the boy in his face with her wings. "What are you-"
'You are mean! You should be happy! I believe in Magikarp!' the Butterfree proclaimed. Xylo, of course, didn't really understand much more than that she disagreed with what he had just said. He didn't have time to say anything back though before something unexpected happened...
The red fish in the street suddenly began to glow in white. Xylo's eyes widened. He hadn't seen pokémon evolve often, but he believed that this was it. "It's evolving...?" he said, backing closer to Christian. Not because he was afraid, but because the pokémon was suddenly growing in front of them - a lot - and pushed him backwards.
Right in the middle of the street outside of Oak Town's pokémon center, there now stood a huge Gyarados. "GYaaaaaaaar!" it roared.
"Hello..." Xylo said, a bit unsure if it would recognize him.
'Cool!' Princess giggled and floated up to the monster's face. Gyarados actually smiled when it saw her, and seemed to be exchanging some words with the butterfly.
Xylo let out a breath and smiled cockily at Christian. "So, now I have a Gyarados as well. Pretty, cool, isn't it?"
Then, the Gyarados heard him and looked down. It's smile faded and an angry look came over its eyes. "What-" Xylo began, then he screamed and pushed Christian out of the way as the Gyarados suddenly lunged at them, hitting the stones in the street instead.
"It's attacking us! Why?"
'It's attacking YOU!' Duke the Elekid commented with a somewhat amused grin.
'Master seems to have made a dishonorable mistake,' Monk the Magby said and stepped back a little instead of intervening.
'We have to help!' Princess said, worried.
'Really?' Monk said, seemingly thinking that it was Xylo's own fault that his pokémon was angry with him. 'What do you guys think?' he then asked Jet, Hydro and Note.
