That's awsome! I just wish i could sing like that.

Wait a sec, not like a girl. BUT YOUR not bad or anyhing.

But i dont have anything agaist girls!

Just deeper. Not that singing hi is bad... o forget it. :laugh:
 
*think the clip doesn't sound as good as it should be due to quality... certainly Carol will be singing a LOT better if we all get a real concert in real life from Carol ^_^*

For my entry, I sang the Neon Genesis: Evangelion opening theme. Yes, it's in japanese so you'll probably need the lyrics to understand it. I can't sing japanese very well in terms of pronounciation, but I gave it a go.

And I love Carol's entry! It's a pity that you only did one minute due to Sound Recorder... wah... Oh well. ^_^

Are we allowed to submit multiple entries? I was thinking of singing Fire!! Butterfly, and the japanese Pokemon openings. :)

Edit: Mario1000s, did you try Right-Clicking and clicking Save Target As... ? That's how I downloaded the songs here on PC. ^_-

Additional Edit: Mystical Mewtwo, that's a funny song. Hehe... quite good...

Oh no, how could you, Anthony? Aargh, I had "PC Idol" all planned out for a month now! And I had a full 500-word post with rules etc. all written out to put up, but I hadn't had time! AAAARGH! OK, I'm running PC Idol 2. No arguments.

I'll enter when I have time to record, and when my parents aren't around (my whole family laughs when I sing, so I have to do it when there's no one else around). I'll record and mix "My Immortal". I can't get enough of that song!

Yeah, judges can't enter. Which is why, although I'll produce PC Idol after this singing contest ends, I won't judge. I wanna win! XD When does this contest end? I won't have the time to record and upload until at least Wednesday.
 
OK, so I'll enter and once the results for this "singing contest" are out I can start my PC Idol?
 
I couldn't get to yours Optic..the link lead to "page not found" for me :S WOW PokemonTrainerCarol, you play the piano extremely well! MM2 you song was original! I'm trying to get hold of yours Rifted, but taking ages to open the page. lol I can't sing a word myself, but I still sig when my fave songs comes on. lol somehow caught myself singing a random song. It was part of blink-182's 'I miss you'. If you do decide to listen to it, my mic is really poor quality, so you'll need your volume up a lil bit. Also I messed up the lyrics a bit cos of a joke with my friend, but still hey I'm surprised I've put this up :p it's short and bad.....:p

Yes, it is recorded at a very low level. Just open the WAVE up in an audio editing program and normalise the volume.

Oh, and somehow my song got deleted Igtica, so I'm uploading it again. *sighs Edit - Okay, it's online again.

Converting WAVE files to MP3 files

I would strongly recommend using the program 'dBpowerAMP Music Converter'. It is a freeware utility and can convert several formats. To reduce download size (1.45 MB) however, it has the minimum standard of converting WAVE to MP3 and vice versa. Additional plug-ins can be downloaded from the site for practically every audio format, such as OGG, GYM, PS2, etc...

When converting to MP3, the best bitrate for a balance of size and good quality would be 128kbps. ^_^;

The only program that I know of that can do this effectively is Microsoft's official product: 'Windows Media Encoder 9 Series'. I must warn you, the system requirements are pretty high (266 megahertz (MHz) processor and 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM) and that is it a 9.6 MB download. Also, it can only be run by the following operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows XP.

It has support for converting one multimedia file to Microsoft's video/audio formats... i.e. (AVI to WMV, MPEG to WMV, WAVE to WMA, MP3 to WMA...) It's the same program I use to encode video clips for my site. The advantage of WMA over MP3 is that it's compression is comparitevely better than MP3. The main disadvantage is that it's not as universal as MP3, and needs the appropriate codec in order to play WMA files. I would recommend encoding at a bitrate of 64kbps (CD Quality).​

I hope I didn't bore you with my little guide. Just thought it would be helpful for those having trouble compressing their recordings. ^_-

Igtica, you may want to try right clicking and saving the file. It's pretty big, but the link is working perfectly for me. :\

Optic, excellent guide! Maybe I should write one as to how to mix files and get rid of awful background noise (hisses, static, etc). Expect one from yours truly soon.

HOWEVER... I have another song by me, and this time, it's going to be my hit song!

Bravo, Rifted, Bravo! Amazingly enough my speakers didn't explode either, lol. Your vocals are.. in short.. just too good for my ears ; _ ;. Where did you learn to sing like that? Great job and thank you for the dedication! *is speechless*

Just listened to Rifted's lastest creation, the Pokemon theme (defunct.) Lets just say it help build up a little courage in me to make a song. Ah well, competition seems to be getting more and more vicious in the singing thread, I hope my song will still be "reviewable," lol. Now I just need a microphone, I don't want to have to resort to using my voice tape recorder:P. That's about as low quality as I can get, hehe.
