Aww...thanks for the support Minako and Charon-chan. ^^ Yeah, I suppose I should stick with languages, speaking of which; Nicknames! XD

Heh, don't know if it's very original but I derived a certain measure of enjoyment from naming my Magikarp in Leaf Green 'Fury'. It was a bashful (For those who don't know, Bashful = Shy) one to top it all and the scary thing was that it actually beat some pretty tough trainer pok?mon. O_O Magikarps have shockingly good defense and speed you know. Of course, the nickname began to make more sense when it evolved into a totally arse-kicking Gyarados, but I actually found it more fun when it was still a Magikarp. XD

Oh, and for a Houndour (One of my countless faves by the way, although I do like Houndoom better) Doom is a neat enough nickname although it's a bit generic. The same probably goes for 'Cerberus' as well so how about...*Dramatic drumroll* dunno, I think it would be best to wait for its stat sheet first. ^^ After all, we don't even know if it's male or female yet.

Oh, and I know about Pandora actually. I think it's especially fitting that she has the move 'Present' which is ever so unpredictable.
 
I called my Houndoom 'Rave' - I'm not really sure why, but it did seem to suit him, when I caught him as a crazy little houndour on silver version. Then he grew, and got cool-looking. xD

I've never liked gyarados and magikarp - I've caught them simply for data, and then they're sat and rotted in my pc. They've just never really struck me as a good battler. Probably because my friend IRL has one, and my Crobat or Crefable crushes it every time with very little effort.

As for nicknames... well, it takes me years to think of a decent name, but most of the time just looking up words in a theosauros (sp?) can come up with some awesome results.
 
deoxys and celebi master, you can always hope I guess. I'll just put that back on the wishlist.

Oh, and Charon-chan. I think Rave is a good nickname actually. ^^ I used to have a Charmeleon called Rave. The save file got corrupted though...As for Gyarados, its power heavily depends on what moves you give it. Gyarados has great Attack and Speed stats and can learn Dragon Dance which, combined with Earthquake and Return, make it one heck of a physcial sweeper, but its special attacks are really weak. Then again, it seems like your friend's Gyarados was up against some tough competition. Golbat, and even more so Crobat, is one of the toughest all around fighters in the game since it has good Defenses, great Speed, and formidable Attack. Plus, it has a far wider movepool than Gyarados does. As for Clefable, well, I had a level 62 Clefable in Leaf Green called Luna and she beat Lorelei single handedly, so I know full well how tough Clefables can be. ^^

And the nickname thing, for me it varies a lot. At times, like with Kuro, the name just comes to me naturally and at others it takes ages to think up even a mediocre name. But I guess that's what our dear nickname guru Plushie is here for. ^^
 
Fang and Faria (their nicknames xD Very unorigional) have got me through the elite four on their own before. I'm quite proud of the pair of them.
Faria was a late edition to my party, I got her to replace Alakasm (who I quite frankly couldn't be bothered with anymore) but she became a pretty important member once I had used a few TMs on her and pumped her up a bit. Clefables learn very little, but they have a huge movepool.
As for Crobats....well, they've always been very close to my heart, mainly because I was involved in a one-on-one, long-term roleplay, and my character happened to have a peculiar connection with her Crobat. That roleplay lasted about a year - it just kept going, and our characters kept falling out, making up, and getting in various stupid situations... Ah, good times.

My poor pokemon normally end up with really stupid names... I have a Dragonite called Dumbledore... ^^; I trained him up from level 20 to 55, so I had him for quite a while in my party.

You know.. 'Wai' on it's own means 'water'.

So, the word 'Waiwai' means 'wealth, value, goods, money, richness.. etc.'

Water was high in value in the old days, so that's why it means wealth. That's because if you have water (and food), you pretty much have the thing you need to survive for, like, ever.

..And when I mean wealth, I mean like extreme wealth. XD

Maybe 'Waiwai Inc.' would suit the evil incorporation more, because maybe they are so rich that that's how they had the means for world domination. XD


Nicknames, nicknames.. They're always popping into my head whenever I obtain a new Pokemon. Just like that time I went mad for catching Skitty on my Emerald.. Now I have a whole box in my PC that's just Skitty, and every one of 'em are individually nicknamed. XD

Same for Luvdisc.. I have one box that's dedicated to them because of all the Heart Scale hunting I did that one time. XD

But seriously.. I try not to give 'em weird names.. I tried to give my party Pokemon nice names, nya. =3

And, like, yeah. Remember, the letter 'w' in Hawaiian is usually pronounced with the 'v' sound. Yeppers. X3
 
Hmm...WaiWai Inc. Sound nice and not at all like something you'd expect to be evil. Perfect for a *Cue clich?d italiano accent* 'Legitimate bussiness' XD. I like it. ^^

And a whole boxfull of Skitty-nicknames? O_O Respect. And your nicknames are usually nice yes. ^^

What's the difference between incorperation and corperation? Or is the latter just a slang term for the first?
 
There's probably some bureucratic difference between the two, although I'll be buggered if I know what, so I say we just stick with whatever sounds better. (Man, my economics teacher would be shocked if he heard me say that ^^)

I'm as well, but it would at least have to be on the weekend, probably late Saturday or early Sunday, because I feel an inclination to be fair towards two RPers who I believe would be more than glad to join. You see two of meh fellows from the Alphimega Quartet, Yibber and Flissie, are experiencing some difficulties. Yibber's getting close to some really big exams so her mom has banned her from using the comp until the weekend and Flissie is down with a disease called 'asthmatic cough' which basically means that she'll be in no condition to RP at the moment. Methinks it wouldn't be fair to leave them in the dust, although since they are my friends I suppose that I'm helplessly biased...^^
 
lol, okay. I've never talked to either of them, but I'm sure they're lovely people and deserve to have the roleplay delayed for them. I'm going away for a week in the end of October, I hope you'll be able to survive without me then...*coughs*
 
Well, truth to be told there are other things I should get done as well. And yes, they are lovely people, but do I sense a measure of sarcasm here? Sorry to hear that you'll be gone though, I suppose I'll survive if I really grit my teeth and plow through, even though I'll be hopelessly melancholic for the whole time. !_!

Okay, maybe not all the time but I'll miss ya' all the same. Anyway, in the mean time, how about posting in Project PS? *Discreet poke* And the layout of the sign-up sheet still needs some work maybe, although it should be a fairly quick process. I would like to know though, do you think it would be a good idea to ask for an RP sample? After all, it's going to be a rather difficult RP to pull off.
 
I wasn't actually being sarcastic, for once. xD I tend to type really formally, and it makes me /seem/ sarcastic all the time. Ho ho.
I'm going on an adventure holiday with my friend, in Wales. Lots of mountains and rivers and what not! We're going canoeing, kayaking, mountaineering, hiking... yay!

hmmmm.... well, rp samples make the thing look messy... but sometimes they are better... maybe we should ask for the roleplay samples on this board rather than on the actual rp board?
if you need some help tweaking anything, PM me. I might be able to add something...
