It's alright, tis' a nice enough sample. ^^
Now for meh sign-ups:
Species: Meowth
Name: Kuro
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality: A friendly, curious and intelligent but rather shy and withdrawn individual. Kuro is obviously struggling between his strong desire to see the world and his innate dislike of being in the spotlight. He dislikes fighting with others and is often rather submissive and compliant with them, much to Kindle's displeasure, but he can be truly brave, even to the point of recklessness, if his friends are endangered. Kuro looks up to Kindle as an older sister and confidant, always trying to get her opinion on matters, and hates to make decisions for himself. He is a fairly capable and resorcefull pok?mon, but more often than not his own shyness and low self-esteem hold him back from his true potential.
History (Optional): Very little is known of Kuro's past. He was found roaming around the base of the forbidden mountain, cornered by a fierce shadow pok?mon. Luckily, Kindle happened to be in the area, driving of the creature and rescuing Kuro in the process. From that day, the young Meowth has held nothing short of undaunted admiration for his grouchy saviour and is rarely found far from her presence.
Attacks:
Scratch
Double Team
Iron Tail
Assist
Other (Optional): Kuro is obviously of rather ominous origins, the nature of which may or may not affect the RP, you'll just have to wait and see. ^.~
Species: Torchic
Name: Kindle
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality: A very stubborn, gutsy, and strong-willed pok?mon. Kindle is always ready to put up a fight, regardless of the odds. She tends to be suspicious of strangers, especially those who claim to want to help her without any obvious reason, and has a rather unpredictable temper which makes her a hard person to befriend. Kindle is fiercely protective of those who have earned her trust however, and the grouchily affectionate way in which she treats Kuro proves that, despite what she says and how she usually acts, she's really just a big softie inside and might be a lot more emotional than she would ever care to confess. She also despises being thought of as weak, and will snap if she even percieves an indication towards something like that.
History (Optional): Kindle always speaks of her past with a mixture of pride and biterness. According to what she has been told, her parents were both great warriors in their time, although Kindle's father Tengu apparently became a traitor to his own kind, fleeing like a coward during a battle against an unnamed foe who slew Kindle's mother who stayed behind to protect her daughter who was still but a few weeks old. Saved by a practically ancient Magmar with the now rather misguiding name 'Inferno' and raised in her care, Kindle has spent almost her whole adult life in training, trying to live up to her mother's legacy and erase the stain that her father left on their family's honour. Sometimes her foster-mother gives Kindle strange looks as the Torchic speaks of her own past but she never elaborates on it so Kindle has more or less discarded these incidents as trivial. Kindle spends a lot of her time roaming the rougher regions of the pok?mon world on a self-appointed mission to rid her home of the treath of shadow pok?mon.
Attacks:
Return
Ember
Swords Dance
Rock Slide
Other (Optional): Kindle treats Kuro like a younger sibling, always ready to protect the Meowth from those she considers a treath to him even though she is trying her best to raise him to be independent. As is the case with Kuro, there might be more to the past of her and her family than meets they eye.

Kindle walked along the barren slopes in her usual manner, taking wide but carefully measured strides, knowing all too well that a single careless step was enough to send her to a messy and untimely end at the bottom of the chasm that opened its maw treatheningly below her. Above her, the stars shone brightly from the cloudless sky, accompanied by a particularly clear full moon.
The moon... she thought for herself,
Could it somehow have provoked these creatures? Not that they need to be... she frowned a bit at the memory of the shadow Torkoal she had faced a few moments earlier. The beast had been a formidable foe, certainly, but far too eager to attack. It was barely a challenge for the Torchic to lure it into the river and dispose of it accordingly. Ahh...she could still recall the creature's dying roar as it descended beneath the surface, pitch black steam rising in all directions and mingling with the evaporating water. And she could still remember the eyes. Not the banefull red pair of her opponent, but those of the Meowth who had happened to be within the area. That stare of complete and utter admiration mixed with a hint of confusion and fear that the pathetic creature had maintained throughout the whole of his hobbling show of gratitude, even though Kindle had quite matter-of-factly informed him that her only purpose had been to kill the Torkoal and that if he didn't get out of the way he would join the creature on the bottom of the lake bed. Why couldn't she get those eyes out of her mind? Even up here on the way to her foster-mother's cave it felt like those eyes were still on her, staring at her, burning through the back of her head.
*Snap*
The sound of a twig snapping behind her caused Kindle to turn around, just in time to spot a pink tail tip dissapearing behind a nearby rock. The Torchic growled irritably, now realizing just why she hadn't been able to get those eyes off her mind. "What did I tell you about following me?" she asked coldly, tapping her foot against the ground as the Meowth shyly snuck out from his hiding place, staring at the ground and looking even more pitiable than before, Kindle wasn't going to be that easily mollified, though.
"Well?" she asked, tapping her foot against the ground again "What's the matter? Torkoal got your tongue?"
"I..." the Meowth squeaked, beginning to draw a small circle in the ground with his left hind-paw with an incredibly guilty look on his face. "I don't have a clue about where to go really." he concluded, tears welling up in his eyes "I remember waking up by the big mountain, and I've been walking around but nothing seems familiar. I-I knew another one of t-those...those things would find me if I ventured out on my own again, and you are such a great warrior so I-I thought that...maybe I could...travel with you? You know, help you with something?" the Meowth raised his eyes to meet Kindle's, his whole body now seeming to exhude excitement.
"Travel with me? Help me?" Kindle echoed, doing her best to keep her tone flat and emotinoless as she peered inquiringly at the Meowth "What good are you? Can you fight?"
"A little..." the cat pok?mon replied "But not as good as you. You
are the big strong warrior after all. Oh, but I can find things." he added hopefully, trying to think of ways to make himself seem useful "Things that others miss. I seem to recall being very good at that. Everyone needs things right?"
"Flattery will get you nowhere." Kindle replied, her expression now betraying the tiniest hint of amusement even though her voice remained neutral. She shook her head "And I don't need things either. Look kid, this is a dangerous business I'm in and you'd only get in the way. I'll help you find your way to the nearest safe territory but from there you're on your own, just head back to your clan and stay there."
"That's just it." the Meowth replied with a sigh "I don't think I have a clan..."
"What nonsense is that?" Kindle asked briskly, although a hint concern was now evident in her voice, to her knowledge the only clan that had been annihilated was her own. "Everyone has a clan." the Torchic continued, trying to ignore the fact that she didn't "Look, where did you come from?"
"Somewhere near the mountain." the Meowth replied.
"I meant originally." Kindle said, "Where were you born?"
"I don't know..."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"Just that." the cat pok?mon replied, "I don't know...or don't remember at least..."
Don't remember? Kindle watched the Meowth with pity.
No family... she repeated in her head.
The cat pok?mon sighed, obviously taking Kindle's silence as a refusal. "I guess I'll go then..." he said, slowly beginning to walk back in the direction he came from. His tail lying low.
"Wait."
"Yes?" the Meowth asked, turning around with a flicker of newfound hope in his eyes.
"You can travel with me." Kindle said "Don't get me wrong." she added before the cat pok?mon could comment. "I'm only taking you along because I think you might be useful. We'll be hunting the shadow pok?mon and I'll expect you to obey orders even under outmost pressure. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes m'am!" the normal type replied, performing a mock-salute and grinning a bit.
"We'll see." the Torchic replied "Now, do you have a name or will I have to refer to you as 'cat'?"
"Oh, how rude of me." the Meowth said, "My name is Kuro, at your service." he bowed dramatically "So what are your orders, boss?"
"Firstly, Kuro." the Torchic said, smiling slightly "You should know that I detest formal titles. Call me Kindle."

Oh, and Agent9, I see that you've added a link to your RP sample (Would have appreciated it if you had told me that you did, but whatever) but still, could you provide one that's at least four lines long? It is RP forum minimum after all, and as it is I have very little to judge your RPing skills by although it does seem fairly good this far. Oh, and you're still in violation of one of this RP's rules so I'm afraid I can't accept your application at any rate until you fix that. Do read those rules, you'll understand what I'm talking about if you do but until then I can't accept you.
