The pok?mon adopter's club (Step right in and feel the love XD)

By the by, has anyone else noticed that the old adoption thread has been locked. Bloody spammers I swear I want to stab someone right now! >_<

If I weren't restricted by automatic language censorship and club non-flamming restrictions I would express my full feelings on the matter, but as it is I'll just rage quietly about it. >< >.< >_< >__< >___< >____<

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!

Okay, so maybe that wasn't so quiet. Anyway, Kylie-Chan only closed the thread because it was getting over-spammed and said that it was perfectly okay to start a new one so I hope you're still feeling up to continue with your work Melissa, although I can understand if the ignorant annoy you too much. -_-

Heh, I knew this was bound to happen, that thread was getting out of control. I PMed Kylie and told her that I would have asked for it to be locked anyway, so I didn't mind.

I will put up a new thread, but it's not going to be for a little while. I have midterms this week and the beginning of next, so I was thinking of postponing the next thread until next week.

However, I will still finish those that have already adopted pokemon, and heck LanceLite and MaxMan I'll even give you a stinkin' Dratini. I'm feeling quite generous today. ^^ Shiny or not shiny?

BTW, a little secret to those of you who read this. Between the time of now and next week, if you PM with a request of a pokemon, I'll give it to ya' even though there's no thread. Any pokemon. And only the first 15 that PM me. After that... you'll just have to wait. ^^

Anyway, I am looking forward to the RPG. That should hold you guys over until the next adoption thread.

And I think there are other threads by different people too right now, you could always adopt from them... ^^;

Oh and Alter Ego, I do hate ignorance. >_> I swear I was ready to kill in that thread. It was like trying to fight water!

Big-butt post =o

Thank you, everyone, for your encouragement. ^^ I'm halfway done. =3 Just need to finish Puurii and the sample. XD

And, 'tis a shame that the adoption center got closed... ;_; But atleast LA gets some rest, ne?

Species: Skitty

Name: Na-Na

Gender: Male

Appearance:
[PokeCommunity.com] The pok?mon adopter's club (Step right in and feel the love XD)

Personality: Gentle, caring and calm. Na-Na has a warm heart and a soft spot for innocent, childish things. He is often considered naive, but given the chance to know him, people can easily see that he is more thoughtful than that. Being more laid-back than energetic, Na-Na prefers not to engage in sports and other forms of physical activities; thus being a bit lazy.

Although he is willing to offer his help where it is due, the young Skitty would rather not have the stress of responsibilities put apon him. Often times, he loses control of his emotions, being prone to mood-swings in times of pressure. Ashamed of this, he tends to venture away from the mainstream and keep to more soothing things in life, spending his time on things that deepen one's spiritual and mental qualities. Because of his focus on these things, he had met and soon befriended Puurii, a Mareep, and has learned the values of friendship in times of loneliness.

History: Na-Na was brought up in a busy family, taught that life was survival of the fittest. He, naturally, felt stressed by this lifestyle, but continued to learn and grow accustomed to getting things done, prompt and to the point. Growing up in a large family was hard for him, but he found a place to get away from it all, if only for a little while. Nearby his home was a large, lush field, flourishing with flowers. It was peaceful, quiet, and overall... Empty. It made the perfect hideout for a small feline like Na-Na, who could easily hide amongst the tall grass. There, he could rest; find a getaway.

Spending peaceful hours just day-dreaming, Na-Na's life had begun to come together. When the storm season came, he would use the old trees in the forest nearby his home for shelter. He would often get seperated from his family... Temporarily. But one night, a storm like none he'd ever seen swept his homeland.

The thunder boomed and roared as if the gods were stirring the sky; the hiss and crackle of lightning sending shivers down his spine. The only way he could get out of this terrible storm was to flee away to a broken-down shack, near the riverbank. Inside, huddling in the corner, he found a Pok?mon he had never seen. It's body puffed out with fluffy wool; it's tail, sleek and slender, held a yellow orb at the tip. The shivvering little Mareep crackled with electricity, it's wool reacting to the lighting. But beyond it's puzzling appearance, Na-Na could see that it was in pain; scared. He reached out to the creature, patting it's soft head in an awkward way.

"It's okay," he whispered in his own tounge. "The storm'll pass soon." The little Mareep looked up, it's blue eyes beaming with a new intrest. Never had another species of Pok?mon approched her like this. There, in the midst of the raging storm, the two Pok?mon waited for it to pass, keeping each other as warm as they could.

When morning came, the two awoke to find the land swamped with rain-water, the ground now a pool of mud. Once they managed to get out of the marshes, Puurii offered to help Na-Na in his search for his family. But, even after hours and hours of looking, they were nowhere to be found. His family had left him, fled from the lands to a safe-haven. Na-Na was lost.

Though she would have liked to go on without him, Puurii knew what it felt like to be lost and alone. She told him, shyly, that she'd let him follow her. From then on, Puurii and Na-Na grew to be close friends, living wherever they pleased. Ph33r Cradily.

Species: Mareep

Name: Puurii [a.k.a Puu]

Gender: Female

Appearance:
[PokeCommunity.com] The pok?mon adopter's club (Step right in and feel the love XD)

Personality: Puurii is a loner. She has always found it difficult to fit in with a crowd, and becomes nervous with others. This has been a problem for her since childhood, as Mareep travel in flocks. Even when she's alone, she's still not satisfied. Her longing confuses her... As she can't seem to figure out why she's always nervous and jittery. Even making friends is difficult for her. She has a tendancy to become too shy to speak, too shy to play. But when you do reach the little Mareep inside the shy creature, you'll find that she is easy to talk to. She is willing to listen to all your secrets, lock them up in her heart and never let them out. Puurii cares deeply for anyone she comes close to. Even if she doesn't show it, she appreciates anyone that is willing to put up with her lonely nature.

Another one of Puurii's best features is her creativity. Her imagination is like a windmill, spinning with productivity and energy. Though some days may be slow for her, a little wind -- so to speak -- gives her the nudge she needs to keep going.

History: Puurii's family flock was huge. If all her relatives gathered together, they could span as far as half a baseball field. This alone intimidated the little lamb to no end. She was always huddling close to one of her relative's legs, afraid of getting left behind, or even trampled by her reckless cousins. But as she aged, little by little, her fear slowly grew into irritation. She would give anything to sit by a stream or pond and just listen to the water, ignoring whatever rucus was going on around her. But, much to her displeasure, this was not acceptable to her flock. It was her elder's job to keep her in line, keep her from straying too far from the rest. Even sneaking away wouldn't work, as she would soon be found with her fleece caught on a thorn, or something of that sort.

Soon, though, she would find her chance to be alone.

Mareep in these parts had traditional routines for migration every year. It was normal for a flock to travel thousands of miles, constantly moving from place to place, in a neverending search for the perfect landscape. This, of course, would be difficult, what with the amount of young that comes with that many Mareep. But these Pok?mon had developed a system.

Once the youngest members of the flock reached the age where they could walk on their own, they and the second and third youngest would break off from the main group, forming a new flock. The youngest would be spread out among their aunts and uncles, giving everyone an equal share of responsibility. Soon, the eldest would evolve into Flaaffy, and the process would start over again.

When this time came for Puurii's flock, she knew that this would be the easiest way to flee. The day that the split took place, Puurii slipped away into the bushes, watching her family blunder about, trying to make order amongst the chatter. She scrambled off into the forest, using her stubby legs to the best of their ability. After a few minutes of running, she was a safe enough distance away so she could pace herself. She was free.

Puurii made her home at the bank of a quiet river, sleeping inside an old shack. Her life was peaceful, untill one stormy night, when she would meet her soon-to-be best friend, a Skitty, named Na-Na.

RP Sample:

"This looks like a perfect little pond. Wouldn't you agree, Puu?" The unusually peppy Skitty cooed with glee, nearly throwing himself off the unsuspecting Mareep's back. Puurii frowned, giving her fleece a shake. "You could've atleast given me a chance to let you down," the dubbed 'Puu' sighed. "I still don't see how you can't just walk on your own."
Na-Na turned, his smile nearly stretching across his pudgey little face. "I could, but I don't want to."

Puurii shook her head. 'Sometimes I wonder why I even bother...'

Na-Na had been right about the pond, though. The water was cool, but not too cold; perfect for a drink and a bath. Puurii leaned her deep blue snout down to the water, blinking at the reflection that stared back at her. Mesmerized by the little waves her breath made, she didn't notice the Skitty about to splash into the pond beside her. Na-Na's giggles rose high above the sound of Puu's snorting, desperatly trying to shake the water off her. They seemed to be having too much 'fun' to notice the group of birds gathering in the tree behind them.

"Oh, you'd be surprised how much I've heard," chirped a Pidgey, shifting it's feet along the branch. "One rumor is that they even feed off happiness."

"Feed off of happiness...?" Questioned the next bird in line, Tailow.

Pidgey nodded. By this time, they had attracted the intrest of Puurii and Na-Na. "A'course, it's all a bunch of chit-chat. No one really knows for sure."

"What're you guys talking about?" Na-Na pipped up, making the unsuspecting trio of birds jump.

"You mean you don't know?" Asked the first. "Shadow Pok?mon, they call 'em."
Puu blinked. "B-But I thought those were just rumors...?"

"They are... As far as we know, anyway. The elders from where I come from won't have it. Nonsense, they say."

The three Pok?mon were interrupted by the violent swishing of a nearby bush. Reacting by instinct, the birds took off flying, Puurii and Na-Na running their fastest to safety.
Puurii, hiding behind a thick tree trunk, looked over at her companion. "I wish we could have found out what they meant..."

I hope it's okay. ;; Tell me if you want something changed, Ego. =3 Oh, and for the RP sample, I hope the refrence of the Shadow Pok?mon is okay with you. XD;; I couldn't really think of anything else =P

Wow, that's a beautiful character sheet Minako. It's obvious that you have put a lot of thought into it. ^^ The only thing is that there probably wouldn't be any shacks in the pok?mon world, unless of course they were kind of a reminder of the world they came from. Yup, that's it. Problem solved. ^^ I'll just wait for Puurii's sheet and your RP sample then.

And yeah, I guess Melissa gets a bit of a break until she starts out with a fresh thread. Oh well, I'll be checking on her later. Thanks though, as I said; a great sign-up sheet always brightens my day. ^^

Yeah, I thought about that. XD I just figured that maybe a Machamp or something would have built it and left it in shambles when it moved on. =o But if you need to, I'll change it to a cave or something XD

But thank you very much. ^__^ I'm glad you liked it. I'm on a writing spree right now, so Puurii should be done in an hour or less.

Alright then, I'll just make a post in between so you can post in the new form without editing. ^^

Although I doubt that a Machamp would have the intellect to build a shelter. It could be one of the more curious pok?mon that like to experiment with things like an Aipom or something, that tail has got to be good for something, right? ^^

Poo... I edited while you were posting. XD Oh well.

That's true. I suppose Aipom make alot more sense. I don't think many Machamp would be in the wild, anyway. XP

Heh, Puurii's sheet is great too. But you still need to provide an RP sample so it's fair, a formality certainly, but still.

Minako, you are so cleeeever. *admires your character sheet*

No, but the sample is too short. I already asked you to make it at least four lines...twice. -_-

If I don't see any improvement in that department soon I'll give you a permanent 'denied' for not listening to me, so please...

So is there some sort of tenative date yet? Then again, how many do we have? Plushie, Me, AE, Charon (whose Absol is a girl and will be PMed to her later today ^^), Minako, and maybe Agent9? That's maybe six, five for sure. And all of us have at least two pokemon so that's at least 10 characters.

I think I'm rambling.... ^^; Perhaps I should go post in PS! *runs off to read how much more AE and Charon have posted*

Alter Ego? If I change the histories of my pokemon will it be ok?

Okay, Ego, I'm done with the sample. Don't worry, I would've been glad to write you one even if it wasn't requiered. XP

And Charon-chan, I am not. XD

Yay for Boudi! Thanks Melissa, you da man....ly....woman... yeah...

*trails off looking embarressed*

As soon as I get my Eevee I am so gonna join!!! L_A's adoptions are the best in PC!

Oh yeah Melissa sorry about your thread got locked but I guess that takes alot of pressure off you though doesnt it?

Don't worry, I'm sure LA will finish your Pok?mon when she has time. ^^

Geez. Yesterday I was in a rush to get the signup done, and now I wish it was sooner. XD
