Have I Got News For You isn't really one of the better quiz shows, I'll agree. But it, along with Paul Merton, is a show that I've grown up with so there's a nostalgic value there. I've never really been keen on Ian Hislop though, and a lot of their guests have been politicians or journalists etc. So the majority of the comedy has had to come from Paul Merton, which is disappointing.I do like comedy quizzes, don't get me wrong, just not all of them. It depends if I know a lot about who's presenting it and stuff. If I know it's going to be funny because so-and-so if on I'll sit and watch it. Like, I've Got News For You, I don't particularly like the people on it, which is why I don't like it. Maybe if it was presented by someone else I would watch it. No idea.
Qi is really good sometimes. I've watched lots and lots of episodes. If you watch it on UKTV G2 they repeat a lot of the episodes, which is probably why I'm slowly going off it. I watched Jimmy Carr lives a few weeks ago, and for once, I actually laughed at it. XD
Okay, let's do that!
I watched Qi on UKTV G2 just before christmas, I was quite pleased because there was 6 episodes on back to back, I thought it was gonna be awesome. But it turned out that they just showed three episodes and then, for some crazy reason, decided to repeat those same episodes immediately after.
I have two DVDs of Jimmy Carr Live and I think they're awesome. He has a very specific style, he uses sarcasm and wit better than most. And I just love dry humour. And I love stand up comedian shows, I wish more got shown on TV. I have quite a few DVDs of different people, like Peter Kay, Dave Spikey, Paddy McGuinness, Bill Bailey, Chris Rock, Jack Dee (so old now XD) and I wanna get some more when I see another comedian's show that entertains me.
EDIT: Haha, I murdered the DCC.
