Plot:

The National League is an organisation that operates through the holding of annual tournaments within each commercial region. Each tournament is sponsored by the National League and in return, each region advertises the NL during their respective ceremonies. Current commercialised regions include Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. Each region has held a Pokemon League tournament from which a champion has been decided. Past champions of a Pokemon League tournament are commemorated through the induction into the Hall of Fame. This is where the greatest of trainers are acknowledged for their superior skill, strength, and wisdom. The Hall of Fame is forever, and is the main goal of many aspiring Pokemon Trainers.

The latest Pokemon League tournament has been announced by the NL board to be held upon the region known as Sky Island. The region is relatively unknown but is said to hold one of the grandest cities in the world. It sits several hundred kilometres north-east of the Orange Archipelago. Open ocean surrounds the island providing a clear path from all directions to and from the inner metropolis. The island's main landmarks are its patented Pokemon League stadium and corresponding Hall of Fame.

Sky Island's grand celebrations for the upcoming tournament have introduced daily festivals and supporting events. Shops, restaurants, hotels, and even hot springs, have all become available to the island's guests during the tournament's proceedings. The league date has been set and the support for the first official Pokemon League tournament is immense. Pokemon Trainers and spectators alike are gathering to Sky Island to witness the NL's latest project.

Your Role:

Pokemon Trainers, who have shown progressive skills and potential in their field of expertise, have been chosen to compete within the tournament via special invitation. You and a number of other Pokemon Trainers have been invited to this tournament to participate and to exhibit your individual abilities. You will be participating within the events of the Sky Island's Pokemon League tournament as an upcoming, humble, or self-devoted trainer with the hopes of becoming a champion, either as a professional or personal accomplishment.

Rules:

1. Pokemon battles will occur between characters in this RP. You and your opponent will decide who will win the battle and post accordingly (PM each other, send e-mails, etc. but do not inform any other participating members of this RP of your decision, except for me. The other members can find out who is the winner once the battle has been posted.). If neither of you can come to a decision for who will win or lose the battle, I will decide for you.

2. To control the amount of time spent in a round of Pokemon battling, there is a maximum limit of posts that can be made before a winner is decided. Since Pokemon battles are fought using three Pokemon on both sides, posts describing battles between you and your opponent will have a maximum limit of 30 posts (approximately 10 posts per knocked out Pokemon). If neither of you can come to a decision on who will win the round, I will decide for you. (The 30 posts limit is counted for both you and your opponent together.)

3. There can only be one Pokemon battle being posted at a time. Other characters can become spectators for the match or continue on other business outside the tournament.

4. Your Pokemon can use moves that it can learn from levelling, taught using TM/HM's, taught using a tutor, and taught as an egg. If the moves for your Pokemon are out of order or unreasonable, I will ask you to edit them.

5. You cannot use legendary Pokemon. These include: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Yuxie, Emurit, Agnome, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Crescelia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Sheimi, and Arseus.

6. You can use fourth generation Pokemon from the Diamond/Pearl series but you must provide a link or source to the details of the Pokemon. (Both Wikipedia and Serebii.net are common sources.)

7. You must have six Pokemon during the tournament and they cannot change.

8. There can be no relations to characters from the manga, anime, or other related Pokemon services. This is an OC (original character) RP with Pokemon concepts.

9. Spelling, grammar, and vocabulary are important. Make sure your posts are adequate so that they are legible and understandable.

10. Standard PC rules apply.

11. Read the rules and make sure you understand them. If you don't like them then don't join. That means you should understand that people will be removed from the RP due to the structure of the plot, and if that's you, do not complain. If any of the above rules are broken beyond reasoning, the offender will be immediately removed from the RP. You have been warned. (Yes, I know there are a lot of rules. Don't understand something? Just ask. I can't stand those who assume they know what's going on and post something completely different from the plot.)

Name: Cain Ritham

Age: 15

Gender: male

Physical Description: Cain has much style his height is 6"4. He weighs 140 pounds. His skin pigmentation is pale but Cain wishes to go towards someplace warm so this may change. His hair color is black with blond highlights. His eyes are cerulean making his position clear on a night sky. He wears a back pack what is blue in color and has red zippers.

He wears a black long sleeved shirt. Over top of his shirt he wears a light blue jean jacket. He wears dark jeans that are very long on him. So he has a brown belt with a silver buckle on it so he can hold his pants up. He wears white sneakers with black laces. He has a black baseball cap with a pokeball logo on it. (similar to Ash's swish on his cap). His hands always get cold so he wears red/black alternating gloves (similar to the hero in Emerald's gloves)

Personality: Cain always remembers something. But when he is asked a question he thinks it over for a long time before answering. He always catches pokemon that he feels relaite to one aspect of his personality. His blaziken is tough, His Tentacruel is kind, his liloone is comic, his alakazam is brave, his heracross is persaverence, and his skarmory is neutral. He feels that he can relait to his pokemon better if he knows everything about them. This is why he repediatly enters them in pokemon contests and battle tents so he can share more of a bond with them.


Cain himself is quite talkative when you give him a topic to talk about. Once he finds out something about pokemon he always tries it on his own. He is always friendly to pokemon and to people alike and repediatly trains his pokemon. He shares a bond to his pokemon that is unbreakable

History: Living in Littleroot town he eventualy met professer Birch. He had taken a liking to him and he eventualy started to give starter pokemon to people again. Cain one of the first people there got his pick and he chose a torchic that jumped right into him. The torchic was frightened of any small moves and Cain grew a liking to it. He left Littleroot town a week later and pursued pokemon gyms. He just ran right threw petalburg city and went straight through the forest. He eventualy made it to Rustboro and trained his Torchic till it was a Combusken and it was more powerfull against the gym. Through this bond he shaired with his Combusken he eventualy found a Zigzagoon. It challenged him but when it tried to tackle it tripped over a rock. This gave his Combusken a huge advatage against this so he caught it with ease.

He soon traveled to Dewford town where a local fisherman caught a Tentacool. It was a small one and sold it to Cain for only 100$. So Cain traveled to Granite Cave and there he saw an Abra that was about to teleport away before Combusken stopped it. He caught it with dificulty. With this abra he beat Brawly with ease.

So Cain traveled to Slateport and beat the battle tent and traveled all the way to Mauville City where he beat the Gym leader with his Liloone. So skipping Verdanturf he traveled all the way to Falabor town and in the mountins he eventualy met a rare sight. It was a Skarmory that landed in a tree. So Cain snuck up on it and his Abra put it to sleep. Then he caught the flying pokemon with a grin. This helped him in the battle tent in Falabor. Where his Abra evolved and as did his tentacool. So he went to Lavarige and beat the gym leader with his Tentacruel. Then he went to Petalburg and beat Norman with his Blaziken. He learned Surf and went to Fortree where he beat the flying Gym leader with his Kadabra. At that moment where Kadabra was about to faint he unleashed a psybeam attack that fainted the flying pokemon with ease. This made Kadabra evolve into an Alakazam.

After going into the safari zone and searching for pokemon extensivly he found a Heracross and caught it with difficulty. The pokemon ate alot of pokeblocks before it was distracted enough for Cain to catch it. It was worth it however when his Heracross won a few contests with its moves.

So Cain traveled to Sootapolis where he beat the final Gym Leader with his Blaziken. But he did not know where to go next. So he flew back to Littleroot and Professer Birch then said that he beat all of Hoenn. The final step was to beat the world. So He told him more of the pokemon league and how it was being held at Sky Island. So Professer Birch sent him away to Sky Island where he could be judged by the best of the world

"Ah finnaly we are leaving Littleroot Town"
His torchic he kept by his side. He released him from the pokeball and he was bouncing beside him. It kept trying to run into him.
"Come on. Im betting we are going to make it to Oldale town without a scratch."
Cain spoke too soon. A Poochena apeared right infront of him. Its teeth bearing.
"Come on. Lets do this"

His torchic was looking afraid of the Poochena. It looked as if it were to faint
"come on you can do this. Scratch attack"
Cain's torchic scratched the Poochena. Very reluctantly at first. The poochena then looked very weakened. Then it shrugged off the weakness and charged towards my torchic. It hit torchic with a devistating tackle attack.
"come on get up lets continue to do this. SCRATCH ATTACK!"
Torchic got up. Then he lunged at the poochena. It scratched the poochena up so much that it fainted. Cain noticed that torchick was a little weak to so he returned him to his ball. For a new day was upon us. He knew we would make it though Hoenn and to the pokemon league

Personality:Andrew is very outgoing and makes millions of friends. He has friends of all ages. He is a very competitive trainer and will never give up. He runs triathalons and is good at swimming, cross-country running, and cross-country biking. Some day he wishes to be a champion. He loves it when he gets a new Pokemon. His Pokemon are more than just parters to battle with, they are is friends. He isn't a sore loser or sore winner. His opponents usually turn out to be his best friend.

History:At age four Andrew befriended a Poliwag. It mystereisly evolved when he was 6. He got a Pokemon Magazine one day and read about the Pokemon Leauge. Ever since he wanted to be a champion. His parents alwas gave him confidence on being a Pokemon Leauge Champion. When he was ten he got a Totodile for his birthday. He set of on a Pokemon journey to fulfil is dream of being a Pokemon Leauge Champion. He has entered in most every Pokemon Leauge he could, he has always gotten close, but not close enough. RP Sample:
Andrew opened the door to see CK. She looked like she had just shed a tear or two. The weird thing was that the had a rere-looking pendant around her neck.

Right behind Andrew was Mr.Zasad. "Come in, come in." he said to CK as he waved her in. "Come on."he said,"Let's go upstairs." he took a sip of water, "When we get up there we'll start working. I've figured out that the base is water. Now all we have to do is find what ingredient they put in it to make the Pokemon get stronger.-" his voice trailed off as Andrew went to get some apple juice.

Mr.Zasad and CK were waiting at the top of the stairs. When Andrew was two steps away he clumsly tripped. His apple juice went flying and hit Mr.Zasad, luckly not CK. Almost all of the apple juice spilled into Mr.Zasad's water.

When the apple juice mixed with the water it created a weird, gooey, purple liquid then turned back into a water-looking substance. Mr.Zasad looked stunned. "That could be the other ingredient! Just some simple apple juice!" he exclaimed. After he calmed down he stated,"Now we need to see if it's the substance- by using it on a Pokemon." Andrew quickly grabbed a Pokeball. He sent out Hoppip. "Even better! It's a really weak Pokemon. We'll definately know if it gets stronger!"

Hoppip was pretty weak. Hoppip was probably also very hungry and thirsty. By now Mr.Zasad had put it in a bowl. Hoppip quickly jumped out of Andrew's hands and headed for the water. It took a quick gulp and evolved. Wow this stuff works fast. Now Hoppip is a Skiploom! I checked ist statis and it now knew Cotton Spore, Synthesis, Mega Drain, and Solerbeam. Wow! It slurped down two more gulps and evolved again! Now it knew Hyper Beam, Double Edge, Mega Drain, and Solarbeam. It's level was now 50! Sweet! Now we knew that it didn't only make it stronger it also works quickly, and teaches it new attacks.

Name: Tychi Sugimori

Age:13

Gender:Male

Physical Description: Standing at average height for a teenaged male of his age, 5'4 Tychy, or just Ty,has the build of an athlete; strong, yet at the same time agile. Just by looking at him one could tell that he would be pretty good at most sports. His face has strong features, matching the rest of his body. Dirty Blonde with slightly brown roots is rested upon his head. Ty's hair is long so that it covers all of his forehead and extends well past his eyebrows and ends just before his eyelashes. He usually brushes it to the side so it doesn't annoy his eyes. His hair is not too long but shaggy. It's thick with a slight wave.

Clothes-wise, Ty opts for a style that shows his personality. Ty is seen wearing almost all the time, a slim black shirt. He wears deep blue jeans under his shirt. He wears black tennis shoes that are great to run in. Otherwise, pretty plain. He wears a steel, chain around his neck. His hands are covered in fingerless gloves under checkered wristbands. His left glove is white while his right glove is black.

His lips are just normal, and his voice is at the point where it has just gotten deeper, so it is just right. Ty's eyes are a calm hazel, and contain a certain look of determination and strength most people couldn't easily mimic. The difference being it comes naturally for Ataro.

Personality:Pretty Retro style, careless nature. Ty's personality varies, but his main thought in his mind though is exploring.

Ty tends to be very nonchalant about things most of the time. He's by no means easily intimidated, and doesn't have an exceptionally short temper. In fact, it's difficult to make him get angry at all through conventional means. Of course, when someone he cares about is harmed, he does get very angry at the one who did it to them and will fight to the death to prevent it from happening again.

As you might assume from the above statement, Ty also has a strong sense of justice. However, he firmly believes that right and wrong are just concepts, and that it's what you do and what you believe in that matters in the end. He personally thinks that the lives of others take priority over his own, though he's by no means incredibly selfless. However, he will gladly risk his life so that someone else can keep theirs without so much as a second's hesitation.

Ty lacks patience, and prefers continuous action to repetitive and monotonous situations. He may even look for trouble for the sake of entertainment.

History: Ty has lived in Littleroot town his whole life, he lives in a humble cabin in the outskirts of the small village. He has a perfect view of the town from there, he has lived with his grandmother for as long as he can remember. When he was eleven he chose his starter, Torchic, and they had hundreds of good adventures. It has evolved meanwhile into a Blaziken, and Ty caught many good friends. But a tournament is coming up and he traveled to other reigons for a short time. He cought more friends and rearranged his team, now he is ready.

RP Sample:It was midday, the orange sun looked over the world from above the clouds. IT was shady that day as two young boys stood out in the field, surrounded by a crowd of people.

"Challengers go first." The boy with dirty blonde hair stated, a black one strap backpack by his feet, this boy was Tychi Sugimori, or just Ty. The opposing boy nodded,

"Alright then!" He said thrusting his arm into the air. A red and white capsule leaped into the air, dropping to the earth soon after. It collided with the grass as it sprung open, releasing puffs of smoke. From the smoke was released a Machamp, a titan made of rock. Accompanied by four arms, its blood red eyes staring down Ty.

"Alright then, Go! Lax!" Ty said throwing the pokeball, another pokemon, towering in size, appeared.

"Alright Lax! Use Megapunch!" The Snorlax dashed towards the opposing beast, raising its bulgy arm. It jabbed the stone creature in its yellow "beak", causing it to fly backwards,

"Earthquake Machamp!" Machamp recovered from the blow and spun into the air like one of those beyblade things. It came down like a torpedo, diving into the earth. Its feet hit the floor, causing giant tremors throwing themselves for Ty and Lax. Ty's eyes were hinted with a shadowy glow, his hair covering it. He grinned, the opposing boy was in shock. The Snorlax leaped into the air, causing the Machamp to look up in awe. The Snorlax opened its gaping mouth, yellow particles forming in its mouth.

"Finish it!" Ty yelled out, Snorlax released a beam of light that rapidly crushed Machamp. Snorlax landed back onto the floor safely, the beam seising, revealing a burned Machamp. The grassland around the stone beast was completely black, covered with ash. Snorlax dissapeared into smoke,

"It's over." Ty said as the pokeball leaped back into his black gloved hand. The sun began to hide itself behind mountains.

"Don't worry." The boy began, his hair covering his eyes causing a shady effect.

"Lots of people loose to me." Ty looked up, revealing his hazel eyes.

Name: Chris Breta

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Physical Description: Chris has dark blue eyes and short light brown hair. Her hair is a bit above her shoulders and it has spiky ridges. Near her nose are some brown freckles. Mosty she wears a light blue sleeved, white short sleeved shirt with a crescent moon on it. Her pants are dark blue and baggy, almost covering her shoes. Chris's skin is palish since she doesn't go out much. On rainy days or when she's in a bad mood she wears a darkish purple shirt with a chibi skull on it.

Personality: Chris never had many friends because she's so shy. When she does have friends they go quickly. Chris has a bad temper problem so when she's mad she's not kiddin to back off. Most of the time she hangs out with her pokemon and her special bud, Quilava, will she wont let him evolve. Chris is gullible but stubborn. Once you get to know her she is real nice and childish. In Pokemon battles she mostly overlooks the type advantage and goes right to smart plans. Chris uses her head in battle and at first takes it easy on her pokemon but if they are lacking she trains them hard. Her shyness kinda keeps her from interacting with people outside of battles but inside a battle she is headstrong.

History: Chris grew up in a small town. To be accurate she lived right near Mauville. Her first Pokemon was Cyndiquil and she hugged it so much that one day, his fire wouldn't come out. She got him when she was 7 so she couldn't battle but she watched most of them. When she was 9 she got a Slowpoke. Chris's parent said that it would teach her something so she kinda hung around Quilava more. When she was 11 she was truly a real trainer. Her parents had rented a battlefield for the day so she could challenge people and train her not so good Slowpoke. One day, a dry storm came through her town and burned half of her house down. She was injured but her dad wad half dead. After that she didn't even look at her pokemon for 5 weeks. Now, she is back in the game and ready to go.

RP Sample: The wind blew torward the first island as Chris lay atop of Flygon's back. With a smirk on Flygon's face he swooped down for and instance causing Chris to bounce out of her position. " Ha ha very funny dragon boy," Chris said sarcasm surrounding her voice. They lay atop over the vast sea. The waves were calm and the sky was shinning.
"Perfect day for flying aye boy?" Chris patted Flygon as they drew near the unfamiliar grounds. This place makes me uneasy she thought. She was bored of flying so he started playing with her pokeballs. Flygon swooped around a rock and a pokeball flew torward the water. As it hit it let out the pokemon within.
"NOOOOOOOOO! Flygon fetch the ball!" Chris screamed. Flygon listens but before he could reach the Pokemon came out. Bellosm was panicky splashing in the water. As Flygon reached she sank beneath the sea. Chris jumped into the air and let out Dragonair. She held on to her as the jetted underwater.
The unforgiving currents pushed them away from her flower. As soon as they caught Bellosom Chris gasped for air. Dragonair made it to the top just in time for Chris to breathe again. Flygon flew down letting Chris on her back.
" Since you two are out, Bellosom can ride on your back Nair." Chris said with relief.
They were back on track and heading torward the island.

Name: Miles

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Physical Description: Miles is slightly short for his age. He stands at an approximate of 171 centimetres and weighs an approximate of 62 kilograms. He has thin black hair which is pulled back across his head. Several strands of hair also fall over his forehead. He wears a loose and slightly crinkled white collar shirt. The sleeves are rolled up to his elbows and the buttons are undone. He wears a white short-sleeve shirt underneath his collar. He also wears a pair of long grey trousers. The ends of each leg are rolled up to his shins. His attire also includes of a pair of white ankle socks that cover his feet. He also wears a pair of white sneakers. Miles also has soft brown eyes and a slight tan.

Personality: Miles is a kind but quiet person. He does not like large crowds or confrontations and tends to avoid them both as much as possible. He does not speak much and has a hard time depending on people. However, amongst close friends and relatives, he tends to be more open and relaxed.
He does not like arguing and will often seek a solution that will benefit both sides of the argument. However, he will speak his mind when he or his ideals are forcefully opposed. Miles also tends to wander off alone without thinking and inevitably causes him to become lost. He can be become stubborn and defensive when insulted but tends to accept the insults rather than retaliating.
He is generally a very nice person but is also very shy and withdrawn at times.

History: Miles has spent most of his childhood living under his aunt's care due to his parents' complicated relationship.
His aunt had acted much like an older sister in his childhood. She was also a rather competent Pokemon Trainer who had travelled across a number of countries living off the earnings she won through Pokemon battling. She specialised in a variety of Water-type Pokemon and won a number of prestigious awards through her short-lived career.
Once Miles had turned ten, his aunt had prepared for him to receive a Pokemon from the local Pokemon Professor. However, during his errand, he discovered a lost Dratini along the shoreline of an infamous lake outside of town. Naturally curious and excited to see his first wild Pokemon, Miles approached the missing Dratini and befriended it.
His aunt was surprised but approving of his new friend. However, she announced that Miles had to declare the Pokemon lost before he could claim it as his own. For a fortnight, Miles and his aunt posted flyers advertising the missing Dratini. The end of the fourteen day advertisement saw Miles' first day as an official Pokemon Trainer and the capture of his first Pokemon, Dratini.

RP Sample: "Excuse me," she said with a slight bow to the group. The young Dragonair lifted herself up into the air and begun her return to Doma Island.
It appeared that the Pokemon were to begin some sort of rebellion against the humans who were to arrive upon the islands. Chishio however was not convinced that their intentions were evil. The neighbouring Quilava and Jolteon however, appeared to have raised a valid point in being cautious around the new inhabitants.
This isn't going well… the Dragonair thought as she landed upon Doma Island soil. We know nothing about these so-called humans yet we may be in danger if we don't take the necessary precautions…
Chishio shook her head and raised her wings. Stabling her path of flight, the Dragonair continued to make her way towards the cratered beach within the centre of Doma Island.

Chishio flew deeper into the forest of Doma Island, hopefully heading towards the island's cratered beach where many of its inhabitants dwelled. The oncoming threat that Pocchi and the group had been discussing was beginning to worry the young Dragonair.
Okay, so there have been some human sightings, but that's nothing to really worry about is it? Chishio asked herself as she passed the spring where she had just rested moments ago. That Quilava sure knew a bit about them though…are they really that dangerous?
Chishio continued along the path through the forest as her mind raced in an attempt to understand her current situation. Beating her wings, the Dragonair sped through the forest as she narrowed her eyes to make out what was ahead of her. Hopefully this path will take me to the inner shoreline and I can th--
The Dragonair stumbled to a stop as she peered up into the sky. A large orb flew over her head before shattering into pieces across the sky. What th--what is that? she thought as she gazed awestruck at the shattering sphere. I guess I'll find out what it is later, but now, I need to reach the others…
Resetting her focus on her initial goal, Chishio prepared to continue on her path when another disturbance caught her attention. The sound of rustling leaves and twigs and soft footsteps could be heard. Focusing her attention on the now approaching sounds, Chishio soon realised that there was someone following her.
Hmm, I can't tell if it's a Pokemon or a human… she thought despairingly. But regardless, I have to keep moving.
With that, the young Dragonair raised her wings and set off along the path towards the centre of Doma Island, with the hope of losing her pursuer or pursuers on the way.

Standing a normal 5'9, Xtian looks shockingly diffrent from teens his own age. He looks much more mature. His snow white hair is held up by his red head band. His light green eyes glow in the sunlight. His shirt is three diffrent colors. White sleaves, red bottom half and a black top half. The back is completly black. He carries a dull yellow bag that has been worn down from its long time use. A black and yellow wrist band resides on his right arm and two black braclets on his left. His pants are a lighter black until the knee then its the same color as his bag. He wears a pair of red and black jogging shoes which look almost brand new.

Personality: Xtian is a very abnormal kid. He befriends almost anyone. He doens't matter who you hang out with or what you look like. A very energetic teen, Xtian loves to have fun. He will laugh and play just like a kid, but when it comes to Pokemon, he is as poised and stern as any Champion has ever been. He hates being under estimated and doesn't mind expressing his feeling. Xtian hates the snobby, know-it-all kids who think thier better than everyone and most of the time turn out being just the opposite. He will befriend you if you have a can do attitude and like to have fun!

History: Growing up in the Orange League, Xtian's first pokemon was the water type pokemon Magikarp. Not being able to battle with his Magikarp, Xtian was very dissapointed, until the day his wish came true. When Xtian was challeged to a battle, he sent out his Magikarp. Knowing he could win, Magikarp hated seeing Xtian so upset. So he forced himself to evolve. Gyrados was actually able to battle and had never lost a battle, ever. It had always been Xtian's faithful pokemon no matter how deep the battle got. Catching more and more pokemon Xtian grew to be quite the trainer and moved from the Orange Islands at the age of 14. Beating every gym in Kanto, Jhoto, and Hoenn. After being invited to the Pokemon League, Xtian took six of his strongest pokemon, including Gyrados and headed onward to the Pokemon League.

Walking through Golden Rod, Xtian headed towards the pokemon center at the center of town to revive some of his pokemon. "Wow, that was tough for only using two pokemon. It would have been alot easier if I used you, isn't that right Espeon?" Xtian spoke smiling at his pokemon who walked lightly beside him.

< Yes master. It would have! But Sizor did pretty good. But fire over powers him everytime! But Umbreon was more than enough job for his other pokemon. > His pokemon used psychic to send her reply straight into Xtian's head. < Master did you hear that? > His pokemon spoke to him.

Xtian tightened his ears a listened carefully. Someone was yelling at another person to end the battle. Xtian and Espeon ran into an alley where the cries came from. There was a battle between an Eevee and a Scyther.

"Scyther, lets just have some fun with the whine bag and his sorry excuse for a pokemon! Its not like we have anything better to do!" The Scyther's owner laughed, not knowing who was watching. "Get up wimp! Lets finish this battle!"

"Please stop this! My pokemon isn't that strong yet and your just being a bully!" The boy replied. "Please ju---" The boy was stopped talking as an Espeon appeared suddenly in between the Eevee and the Scyther. Xtian walked slowy from the shadows of the alley. "It isn't nice to pick on children." Xtian lifted the young boy to his feet. "Take your pokemon to the Pokemon Center and have nurse take a look at him. Ok?" The young boy smiled up at Xtian, grabbed his pokemon and ran from the alley. Then he turned on trainer.

"Who gives you the right to get involved with something that you have no business in?" The trainer asked. "You just let my toy go! I have no one to toy with now. So I guess I get to toy with you. Scyther attack!" The trainer growled. His pokemon took off from his standing place and headed straight for Xtian.

"Espeon, psychic." Xtian spoke these two words slowly letting the pokemon get closer. "You have no right to pick on little kids like prey. He is just only gotten his first pokemon and you think you have to teach him who is the boss in town. Well let me tell you something, its not you. His sorry excuse for a pokemon huh? I was just like that little boy. I had a pokemon who couldn't battle. But wait because in few years he is going to be so far past your greatest accomplishment! You think you own this town well let me tell you something else. You dont own jack! Now I will teach you not to pick on the little guy!" Xtian spoke these words not only from anger, but from hate. He hated this boy and he had a reason to. The Scyther, who was frozen in place by Espeon's psychic could do nothing by listen.

< I hate waiting like this. I am tired can we just finish these two off and go? > Espeon spoke to Xtian. Xtian stood there, towering over the teenaged boy. "I hope you can change. For your own sake. Otherwise, I will find out, and I will be back." Xtian warned the boy before he turned around and nodded at Espeon.

Scyther was sent flying back towards at his trainer as Espeon spun his head in the same direction. "Hey! I wont have you treating my po---" The boy was interupted as Espeon sent a psybeam hitting directly knocking out both Scyther and the boy.

< Master > his pokemon spoke as she caught up to Xtian. < Do you think he will learn? > His pokemon asked him as they headed off in the direction of the pokemon center. "For his sake, I hope so." Xtian replied in a low tone as he walked into the doors of the pokemon center, dissapearing from site .

Name: Artemis Consel

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Physical Description: When you look at Artemis, the first vibe you'd get is "unorganized." More often than not, his sand-colored hair is ruffled and his clothes are... less than "classy." However, take a bit of a closer look, and you'll find quite a handsome young lad.. when he's cleaned up, that is. Underneath a scruffy exterior is a boy of nearly 6 feet. His hair is long enough to not be short, but not quite long enough to be long, reaching about the bottom of his nose at the shortest, and the base of his neck at the longest. It's usually over one eye, although this is unintentional, and is more of an annoyance than a "cool" factor. Underneath that scruff of hair are a pair of deep blue eyes, which reflect light like a pool in the moonlight. People always say that they "change colors," but Artemis has never witnessed this phenomenon personally. Outside of his eyes, there's nothing too special about Artemis' face, or the rest of him for that matter. He's of average build and weight, although a tad more athletic than the average teenage boy of his age, due to his history of team sports.

Most of the time, he wears 3 visible layers. On top, he almost always wears a dark grey jacket. The jacket, like most of his external clothing, is frayed, and tattered about the wrists. On the breast pocket, the insignia of the High School he attends is embroidered. Although not thick, the jacket serves it's purpose. Under that is a white T-shirt with some slogan on it, that even Artemis didn't know. He just bought it because it looked cool. Under that, to top it all off, a thin black long sleeved shirt that hugs his chest rather tightly. He sports beige cargo pants, which sag slightly, and a belt, which holds his pokeballs, along with his pants. His shoes, much to be expected, are falling apart. Black converse sneakers nearly ripped along the edges, are loosely laced with neon green laces.

Personality: Artemis is usually a happy, laid back, carefree kind of guy.. However, he's easily startled, and he can be very reserved towards people who don't give him the right "vibe." While not exactly a psychic ability, he posseses a certain instinct, a "sixth sense" if you will. This allows him to tell when something is about to go wrong, or is going wrong, or vice versa. He can be quite bipolar at times, and depending on such trivial things as the weather, or hearing something on the news can shift his mood from bouncy and bubbly to reserved and lonely. He loves to play little tricks on people, provided he's in the mood, and he can be rather flirtatious. (again, when the mood suits.)

History: Born and raised in Ecruteak City, both his parents lived and worked in an age old, family owned inn, which Artemis has lived all his life. Ever since the time he could walk, he loved to sneak out of his bed and listen to the old tales told by travelers and mariners alike who frequented the tavern. Being the nature of the city as well, many monks would barge in and yell about a various spirit that was going to haunt them all. (At this, just to be funny, Artemis would flick the lights on and off a few times, just to freak everyone out.) All sorts of people came and went through the inn. (Some of his favorites included a man named Ignov, who was a big beefy man from some foreign country who married his Jynx, and a skinny man named Horace who insisted every time that he came into the bar that he was turning into a Bellsprout ever since the guards at the tower had thrown him out the window.) So, naturally, Artemis became very familiar with the surrounding regions, along with any tall tales that accompanied them. He dreamed of being an explorer one day, and finding out if any of those tales were true.

Pokemon:

Girafarig - "Melody." Female. "image removed"
Melody is the type of girl who always cares about her appearance. She is very vain, and very proper. She can't stand to be dirty in any way. If someone around her is acting foolish or un-dignified in any way, she becomes very embarrased. As a girafarig, she has two sides to every issue, but usually the back end handles any altercations or battles. However, she drops all of her dignity when she is battling. She fights very hard, and fights to win. Sometimes, her competetive nature intimidates Artemis.

Sharpedo - "Psycho." Male."image removed"
As his name suggests, Psycho is erratic and spontaneous. He loves to eat, and sometimes his hunger gets the best of him and he may attack others without provocation. For this reason, he's usually locked safe in his Pokeball. When he battles, he uses vicious bite attacks, and usually has a good deal of intimidation under his belt. Personality wise, he has a one tracked mind - he has to finish whatever he's doing before starting anew - this is dangerous in battle, when he needs to avoid an attack with his jaws firmly latched around a seperate opponent.

Robin is very protective of her team, almost like a mother figure. She manages to be able to patch them up after a battle, no matter how bad the injury. In battle herself, she is fearless and deadly, striking weak points, and making sure no harm comes to her family. However, it rarely comes to this, and Robin will only fight if it's the very last resort.

Jynx -"Jynx." Female. "image removed"
Jynx is one of the three elemental triplets that was given to Artemis as a 15th birthday present, given to him by the Goldenrod breeders. Jynx herself is very sisterly and dependant of the other 2, and is always with them, even in battle. They all three share a bit of telekinetic link with each other, and find themselves completing each other sentences often.

RP Sample: Slateport - a massive staple of Hoenn's power and money. As Julian stepped out of Earl's Pokemon Academy, (which happened to look exactly like the Goldenrod branch, complete with the horribly done neon sign of the spinning fat man, and broken window on the 2nd floor.) he realized that he had never, ever, been to Hoenn at all, let alone Slateport. Suddenly, he felt very afraid and insignificant. Suddenly, an odd, high pitched voice sounded out behind him.

"Hallo!! You look lost, yes?!" Julian wheeled around, and found himself face to face with a large man.. and he seemed to be spinning. Julian was taken aback for a second, but looking up at the neon sign, he made a few assumptions.

"Um.. I guess... are you Earl?" The fat man shook his massive face in an enthusiastic nod. "Why, yes! Have heard of me you?" Earl queried, almost psychotically. Julian took a step back.

"Um, I guess so.." The man named Earl took a step forward and made a grab for Julian. "I help you with pokemon, yes!?" Julian yelped, and took several steps back. He started to panic a little. "Uh.. no. I need.. um, directions to Rustboro city.. if you please." Earl threw his chubby arms in the air, and spun around twice in rapid succession. "YES! Exploration, always excellent! To for get to Rustboro city..."

Earl drew a large piece of paper from his pocket (How he managed to fit it in there, Julian wasn't exactly sure.) and also extracted a vibrant purple crayon, and began to draw a crude map of the surrounding area. "Well, my young friend, if take you this road, and go into cave, you make to Rustboro soon!" Earl handed the boy the map with a monstrous smile, but when he opened his eye to extend his hand in farewell, Julian had already bolted away from the huge man that he was sure had intentions to eat him.

"Huff... Puff..." Julian panted as he leaned against the wall. He took out his PokeGear to check the time, but as he did, it began to buzz and flash. [NEW EMAIL!] is what it proclaimed. Julian opened the message, and it went something like this..

"To All Team Trainer Members,

For the past few days, we have encountered a massive world problem known only as the virus. It has transformed many people, and some Trainer members, into hybrids, a combination of humans and pokemon. Although the hybrids seem to have retained their essential humanity, many people in this world still fear them and wish to kill them. We cannot allow that...

...All Trainer members who have not been infected and are stationed outside the Kanto and Johto regions are asked to report your status to Trainer Headquarters at Rustboro City. All traveling members of Trainer should also report to Rustboro City personally for further orders. Any members already on missions do not need to report in...

...We will get through this and we will succeed as a team. The world is depending on us and I am sure we will not let it down. Let's fight for freedom, fight for glory, and fight to win!

"Harry Kim..." Julian mused. "I remember hearing about him. He was really high up in the progression, but I don't remember exactly what position he held." He closed his Pokegear, and headed north through Slateport.

It was a lot bigger than he thought it was. It wasn't like Saffron, there weren't busses or trams that ran through the streets like in his home city. "Well, let's see." He reached for his belt, grabbed Asura's pokeball, and tossed it into the street. The girafarig emerged from the blinding light. <Yeah, what?> the pokemon grumbled crossly. <I was trying to fix the bow in my hair.>

"You can do that when we get to Rustboro." Julian responded simply. "I need transportation, alright? Willing?"

<Yeah, I guess so. But if you mess up my hair..> Julian laughed before she could finish, and hopped on her back. Girafarigs are surprisingly strong and fast. Before he knew it, he was galloping through the city. In about 20 minutes time, he was in the open field again. He stopped for a minute to let his steed rest.

"Team Trainer.. Harry Kim.. the virus.. what is this all about, anyway? Why am I so drawn to Team Trainer? He barely told me anything about it, and the next thing I know, I'm in a different country. I don't have anything to rely on except some crazy fat guy's crude map (which was basically purple lines. You had to use your imagination.) and this email from this 'Kim' guy. This is so crazy.." he thought to himself.

"What do you think of it, Asura?" The pokemon did not reply, too entranced with it's own reflection in the water. "Then again," he thought, "I know exactly what she'd say;"

"Maybe she's right." he thought. "Maybe I AM crazy"

Physical Description:Seth carries big eyes on his face, they are blue with a shade of gray. He has silver hair under an ivy green shirt pointing backwards. He has thin lips; he has a slim, ivy green shirt over a leather, black belt seperating the green of his shirt from the solid blue of his jeans. He has white vans for easy skateboard usage.

Seth has reletavely chubby cheeks, he has a mix between light skin and dark skin. He has a slim appeareance though he has the hunger of a starved dog.

Personality:Seth is the quiet kind, but when he gets to know a person he lets go of his shell and reveals his witty personality. He works well with other people and dislikes any person is is naive, tempermental, or plain rude. He is very knowledgable about most things, and knows the perfect strategies for pokemon battles.

History:Seth has moved around from country to country, passing states and even regions. He finally settled down in Johto, in the restless city of Goldenrod. On day he ran to the humble town of NewBark to receive his first pokemon from Prof. Elm. He received his Chikorita which soon evolved into its final form, Meganium. He caught new pokemon and defeated gym leaders eventually leading him to the Elite Four. Afterwards, he traveled to new regions rearranging his team to his advantage.

RP Sample: The full moon hung in the midnight sky without even the smallest cloud to block out the ghostly light it cast on the world below. The glow of the street lights was nothing when compared to the endless supply of light from the moon and stars. Seth seemed to be walking directly underneath it, his head tilted skyward so that he might catch a glimpse of the majesty that was a starlit night. His hands were in his jeans pockets, and his silver hair was blowing slightly in the cool breeze picking up. Peace and quiet…something that Seth could only obtain in the dead of night in his hometown. Something he only enjoyed while walking home late after a long day of traveling.

'Heh…soon I'll be able to prove myself to my old man by winning that tournament.' Seth's own voice echoed through his mind.

Seth continued through the streets of Goldenrod City, ignoring the cold air surrounding his body. He turned a corner slowly, walking down a street which was all too familiar to him. He ran down that same street about a year ago to obtain his Chikorita, now a Meganium.

'…And now I can prove to my dad that I'm good enough. Then he'll probably come down from that northern region.' He thought calmly, slowly walking past his friend's house without so much as looking back at it.

He turned yet another corner, this time walking onto the street which he called home. He stopped, looking to the end of the street. There sat his own house, with all of the lights turned off, signifying that everyone residing within the house was asleep. Reaching into his pocket, Seth pulled out his dusty, silver house key, grasping it tightly in the palm of his right hand. Continuing his walk home, the entire town still doused in golden moonlight, Seth made his way down the sidewalk leading to his residence. Upon reaching the front door, Seth took one last look back at his hometown, an almost serene look in his eyes.

"It'll be worth it." He whispered to himself before inserting his house key, smirking as he unlocked his front door, and walked inside the house…

Gender: Male

Physical Description: As a child, his family and friends always told him that he would never grow to be a sports-person. They said that his body was too weak and fragile to do anything but study. He was pale and sickly, his skin sticking to his bones, and giving the impression that he was underfed. The fact of the matter was that he never used to eat. What with his long black hair, and tall gangly gait, he was considered to be almost bedridden. But as soon as he reached adolescence at the age of twelve, and he hit puberty, his appearance began to change. He started to look after his body more, know knowing that a good first impression does wonders. He started to put on some weight, as his mother was delighted to feed him when she heard he wanted to get heavier. Then, add this to his strenuous days of training, and you have a well-groomed young man, with a handsome face, and suave personality.

His hair is still of medium-long length, resting elegantly on his shoulders, and covering his forehead completely. Despite his mother's attempts to have him cut his hair, Nathaniel has grown and taken care of his hair unlike anyone he has ever known or met. His eyes are a wonderfully bright hazel in colour, and seem to glow whenever Nathaniel has a new thought or idea. His friends have always told him that he has the most beautiful pair of eyes they have ever seen. Personally, Nathaniel believes otherwise, but has always been told that in complete darkness, with a small patch of light, his eyes are of unbeatable quality. Nathaniel, despite being a teenager who is expected to become rebellious, and don ripped tee shirts and jeans, prefers to wear his favourite set of shirts and trousers. But he makes them look good. He wears a white or cream-coloured shirt, the top three buttons unbuttoned; his cuffs as well. He couples this with a pair of navy blue or black trousers, worn slightly below the average waistline. Of course, his shirt is not tucked in, except on formal occasions. Finally, to cap all of his, he has a pair of worn out old sneakers that he wears at all times, and a black rucksack with his life's possessions.

Personality: Intelligence and acumen have always been major points in Nathaniel's character. Yet, when he began to worry about his appearance at twelve, he started to give up on being the snotty-nosed know-it-all that he was as a kid, and become a somewhat more mature and "cool" person. Whether he has achieved this or not is still a mystery to him, but he tries his very best. One of his most well known personalities is when he tries to act mysterious. He will lean against a wall, and bob his head slowly to some music form his iPod, with his hair falling in front of his eyes; his hands in the pockets of his trousers. When talked to, he would just smile, and answer in the most cryptic way possible. Sometimes he feels that he has outdone his mysterious personality, but he still sticks with it. Deep down inside, however, Nathaniel is still one of your more theory-oriented people, who are rather well read about many things, but not so good at brining them into the practical world. For example, Nathaniel knows how to cook a perfect French Breakfast. That's not meaning to say that he's ever done it before. He knows how to tie millions of Boy Scout knots, but has never actually used them.

His mother always said that she imagines him in a laboratory, looking through a microscope at some new form of sea life, rather than out diving in the ocean, and studying marine-life. This is because he aspires to become a marine biologist. There are several things that Nathaniel hates beyond reason. Firstly, he is very much for the preservation of animals, and cannot bear to see anyone wearing animal skin, or mounting a real animal head in their living room. Then, slavery is another thing that really ticks him off. Despite the fact that slavery is officially banned in Kanto, Hoenn and Johto does not mean that it does not happen. Especially in the "rich circles" that Nathaniel was unfortunately born into. Finally, the fact that rich people are more sophisticated than poor or normal people. He finds this completely untrue, as his best friend, Bonnie, comes from a rather poor family, but is the sweetest and nicest person he knows.

History: Nathaniel was born to Jacques and Emma Winterfield. Jacques's parents began a family textile business that Jacques was thrown into as soon as he graduated Form University. Named "Winterfield" after the family name, the company has grown ever since it's beginning when it was no more than a small tailoring shop in Olivine. Now, it is one of the premium cold-weather clod companies still operating today. Emma was simply born into a rich family, and has lived like that since she first opened her eyes. Emma is related to the royal family of Johto (although distantly), and has gained her wealth like that. Fortunately for Nathaniel, both Jacques and Emma have the same views on people that he does, and believe that poorer people should be treated with the same respect as the richer people in society. Nathaniel is an only child, and therefore slightly pampered. But his needs were not the same as a normal child. He did not dream of a room full of toys, or of Playstations and XBoxes. Instead, he dreamed of swimming with the animals, and on his tenth birthday was gifted an aquarium with two small species of Carvahanna, a Goldeen, and a Staryu, who spends its days lying on the bottom of the tank, eating mould. How exciting.

Pokémon Training never appealed to him as it did to many of his friends and classmates. Most of his friends left their homes at eleven, to fulfil childhood dreams of becoming Pokémon Masters, and defeating the legendary number one. But Nathaniel did have a liking for Pokémon, and took a special liking to rarer Pokémon. He felt sorry for the poor Tropiuses who were forced to flee form their habitats because of the tyranny of mankind. he felt sorry for the extinct Pokémon who were murdered by humans for their skin. He began to sense a bond growing between him and his fellow Pokémon, and when he turned thirteen, was given an Absol. Undoubtedly one of the rarest of Pokémon, Nathaniel set about bonding with the Absol, and creating a friendship that he hopes would inspire many generations of Pokémon and humans alike. He then left his home, not to gather badges and become the world champion, but to create a link between humans and Pokémon that will create an understanding which will eventually lead to co-existence, something that is only theory in the scientific world.

When he was given the invitation to Sky Island, to participate in the National League, he jumped at the opportunity to once again show the world that friendship is the key.

From the now dead Assassins on Serebii

Crystal Blood...

The morning was new, and the sun had barely crossed the bridge into wakefulness itself. Outside, frost covered all living beings that had been foolish enough to step out during the incredible cold night. The trees were coated with a layer of hard ice, as was the grass below. Arctic foxes, and Snowy owls were scavenging the grounds, in search of small rodents that would be peering out of burrows in the ground. The Lupus Invicti building was also covered in frost, but fortunately, the heating had been switched on the previous day, and it was nice and warm. A perfect day to snuggle up in your bed, and enjoy the sensation of being warm, while looking our at the desolate landscape. Normal people, from five years of age, to eighty, would enjoy something like that immensely.

But Renier was not normal.

He sat at the edge of his bunk bed, that he shared with a small kid, too stupid to even be alive. His raven-coloured hair rested gently on his shoulder, as he stared at nothingness, his mind a buzz of activity. Today was the day. Today was the day that Crystal Blood would be his. He had waited a long time for this day, counting off the days on a small chart under his pillow. He had put up with the disgraceful physical activity that he was forced to endure in order to get to this day. His body quivered in excitement, as he speculated what Crystal Blood would give him. But he was unhappy. He did not know much about Crystal Blood; for not knowing could often lead to one's downfall. He had read that somewhere in a psychiatrist's magazine.

Sighing, he rose from his bed, and cast a withering look at his room-mate. He often did that to enjoy the feeling of being the superior person in the room. He walked to the teak door, swinging it open, and waking down the long corridor, to the stairs that would lead him to the Common Room. He had already gotten himself dressed, even before the sun was up. His dark-blue shirt had been buttoned up right to the top, and his vest buttoned to the top as well. He tucked in his shirt, as Lupus Invicti despised people who kept shirts out of their trousers. Tee-shirts were okay, but not proper shirts. His flexible boots made no sound on the carpeted floor, as he turned, and walked down three flights of steps, before finally entering the Common Room.

He sat in the far corner of the room, looking at the young children squeal with delight and anxiety as Tom chased Jerry around in circles, only to get hit by a large plank, which had seemingly popped out of nowhere. Renier hated such shows that didn't make any sense at all. How can a mouse run on two legs, and have the strength to lift large objects. And how can the cat go on two legs as well, and recover from blows which would have killed people, but turn him into a cat-table. Didn't the creators of the show know that cats are much more flexible than that? And that they can anticipate blows, and be able to dodge them. And since when was a mouse smarter than a cat.

"Faustus?"

The call startled Renier as he had just settled down into a comfortable red couch. He jumped up to see who had called him. It was one of the many teachers. Renier's heart jolted. He had not expected to be called so soon. In his mind, he ran over as much as his mind could fit (which was quit a lot, considering the expanse of his intelligence), and walked over to the teacher. He knew this one personally. He was the person who taught Physics to the older students, like Renier. Renier nodded apologetically for not responding immediately.

"Yes, sir?"

The teacher stared down with hard-cold eyes, glaring at Renier. Renier looked back, knowing the last thing he should do was turn away. Both sets of blue eyes met, and the teacher nodded. "Follow me, and don't make any noise."

Renier nodded, already anticipating the injection of Crystal Blood, however it was done. But there were tests to complete before this...

The passage was dark, and Renier closed his eyes to speed up the process, but somehow, it didn't work. No doubt Lupus Invicti had thought of that. Mentally berating himself, he was led into room after room, until finally, a light was switched on. He blinked several times, trying his best not to show the pain he felt in his retinas from the sudden blare of the lights.

"Stay here, the others shall come soon."

Renier nodded, noticing another person in the room. But he followed his normal custom, giving the person a scornful look, before turning away, completely...

Other: Nathaniel still holds that passion to become a Marine Biologist, despite the fact that he's taking part in a Pokémon Tournament that is meant to distinguish the best.
