The Pokemon Library

Sir Gawain and the Grass Knight might be the epic poem for you. Are you brave enough to face the mysterious green, sword dancing pokemon who appears in the court of King Calayrex, seeking a challenger? A warning: Failure may cost you your head.

Flannery?

Hmmm... I do recall reading a book called Fiery Passion: The Story of Flannery and how her Slugma and her made it big. It was quite interesting!

That sounds like a good one! Since you're answer is missing a character to recommend books for I chose a Herdier- first pokemon I thought of because of your dog avvie. 🐶

For Herdier I would hand a copy of Hachiko: the true story of a loyal pokemon by Pamela S. Turner.

Falkner?

What a Noctowl Knows by Jennifer Ackerman.

It's a book about the Pokemon world's most enigmatic birds!

Roxanne?

I have another good one! It's called "Good Study Habits 101: Rock Pokemon," written by none other but her!

I've been looking for some stuff about Hydreigon for a research project.

A Trainer in the Water by Megan Hollingshead. Tells the story of a Goldeen that meets a trainer. Puts on a little show of aquatic agility for the trainer, which made the trainer happy. Meets the trainer again the next day. Shows off for the trainer once again. Enjoys the attention.

Continues this for a week or so. Eventually leads to the trainer trying to join Goldeen in the water. Cannot swim well, however. Avoids drowning only due to Goldeen saving them. (Made it look so easy.) Taught the Goldeen a valuable lesson to not be too flashy and to be a little more modest.

Haunter?

I think Agatha wrote a book about them called On Dealing with Haunters that are addicted to your PokeBlocks, for aspiring trainers in Hoenn who have that exact problem! It's surprisingly common, actually.

On the topic of dark-type pokemon, I'm also researching Tyranitar. Any good picks?

There's a book called "The challenges of map making", by August Heinrich Petermann, that has several chapters on how maps have to keep being redrawn due to Tyranitar knocking down mountains and burying rivers when it rampages. It deals with what happens when Tyranitar goes out of control.
Additionally there's "Taming the disaster", by Christopher Paolini, which deals with how to keep Tyranitar in check. Both with and without force, it's the cumulation of multiple generations' efforts to try and keep Tyranitar's rampages in check.

Krokorok ?

I do recall seeing an epic poem about a man and his Krokorok travel across Unova and defeat the Elite 4, all by themselves, as well as the champion. It's in an older language, but it translates roughly to Krokorok Rock.

I'm still researching Dark-types. Anything about Absol?

"The Pokemon League Guide Book, Hoenn Edition". Despite the name this is actually a series of auto biographies, each book focusing on the elite four of a region. You might gain some handy knowledge from the Phoebe section of the book.

Anyone know of any books about Druddigon ?
