I bought Omega Ruby over Alpha Sapphire just to use Primal Groudon. I was super excited about Desolate Land.

Regular Drought sets up regular Sun, which just weakens Water type attacks, but doesn't just go away when the user switches out.

15. Primal Groudon has effectively only 1 weakness ground.Since it has extremely high physical defense and most ground types are physical it is built to tank that. Fire negates the weakness to ice and grass that weakness of a ground type making it just neutral damage, and ground takes away the fire's weakness to rock. Would normally have a 4× water weakness to water, but not with desolate land up, it becomes an immunity. Plus Primal Groudon just looks cool as heck with the molten lava glowing all over it's body!

The 6th Pokemon is one of my favorites. Butler unleashes some sort of Groudon yet not really Groudon force that's like a mirror image of his own greed and ambitition. it would drain energy out of everything in nature that's crossed it's path, withering trees etc rather than just making volcanoes erupt, raising the land and stopping the rains with it's drought ability. It was like walking death. It had these tentacles that came out of it's body to seize all pokemon and people, and consume them. This guy is sometimes called the False Groudon or Meta Groudon. I thought it was really interesting. I wouldn't mind a special event release a Groudon like this one.

I like the thing in Emerald where groudon was facing kyogre on this tiny island in Sootopolis.... looked hilarious to me =3

I still enjoy watching it's cut scene in Emerald as it comes down from the sky and pacifies the fighting Kyogre and Groudon that have destabilized the environment.

I think it's black shiny is the coolest of all three, especially when it mega evolves. Shiny mega Ray looks like the dark of night with golden stars sparkling across it's skies.

Me too! I just LOVED the delta episode. It was my favorite part of Oras. I thought the Draconids/Lore Keepers were an interesting class of trainers.

The weather trio was awesome in the Hoopa movie.

And yeah, the battle frontier should have been in ORAS. It would be nice if they bring it back for Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl, but I'd honestly surprised if this happens. It would be a pleasant surprise though.
