I have a problem- the type of the typical school drama.
I recently was admitted to a school. I'm new to being in such a social environment, but I think I've been getting by quite well. There's someone in my class who appears have been very friendly to me recently. I don't mind them at all, and in fact I've hung out with them a lot since I like their company. We get along well, even though he doesn't know English that well and sometimes doesn't understand what I'm saying.
However, because of my associations with him I've been greatly pressured by other classmates who think that we'd make a great couple. They constantly bring him up and tease me about him, and even though I don't think of him that way they think I like him. The truth is I'm interested in someone else, but I don't dare tell them that. The other day, in the middle of class, my classmates even brought up our so-called 'romance' to our homeroom teacher. I laughed at that time, but the truth is that that was an extremely embarassing occurrence. How can I deal with my classmates if they keep this up?
