The Punk Rock Cafe

I've been to 5 gigs so far, hopefully 1 in march and a possible other if I can convince my dad to go to a Hardcore Punk concert o_O Not likely...

what? your dad to go with you? that'd be funny. *pictures dad moshing* hehehe...

I went to another local one last night. It wasn't bad, but my neck is still sore, so I couldn't fully enjoy it. It's good, there's this little bar called Ruby's in this small town, and they have big bands come up there all the time, like cog, Butterfly effect and kisschasey ect... it's kinda weird but at the same time so cool, because it's like 10 mins drive from my house.

Whoa. Love punk rock. Anyone here ever heard of Me First and the Gimme Gimmes? They're my fave punk band of all time. >__< Even though nobody I've talked to has ever heard of them.

Kyahahaha, didn't think so. They're a revival band- Make remakes of songs. My personal favorite is "Somewhere, Over the Rainbow". >_

oh, i love me first and the gimme gimmes! I love that song... that I can't remember the name of... XD. The one that goes: "who put the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop, who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong, etc..." Oh thats great... *sighs*

you'd understand if you'd heard it. It's a 50's song... REDONE! Very cool and catchy...

Any one here like A7X? If you don't know em, download "Bat Country" it's one of the best songs ever.

for those who still like simple plan heres a few news:

AFTER A FEW SETBACKS, SP TOUR FINALLY HITS THE ROAD

Posted by Pat

Things definately didn't go as planned, but after delays, setbacks and a bunch of problems, Simple Plan's US Tour is finally under way! The tour had it's first outing last night in Denver, Colorado to a great crowd and good times. Doors had to be delayed as technical problems arose, but in the end I'm pretty sure that all were pretty happy as Simple Plan took the stage and rocked the Denver crowd.

After all this international travel it's also good to be back in front of familiar faces and back on the bus with our own stuff. The guys all have their favorite bunks to sleep in, favorite food in the fridge and favorite movies on TV. (Actually last night we all watched iRobot, which I don't think is anyones favorite movie, but who can resist Will Smith in a sci-fi action flick?)

Today, the boys were in Omaha and as I write this, they are one song from being done the set. Another great night, with a sold out show! Not bad for a city the band has never played before. Tomorrow is a day of and then it's more shows, shows, shows. These have been a lot more intimate than some other shows that the boys have done, so you should definately check out the tour dates and come by and say hi! The guys are finishing up now, so I will sign off, but see you at the shows!!!

Here's the lowdown:

Tuesday, Nov 8th.
TRL- Live TV

URGENT- SAN DIEGO SHOW FORCED TO BE POSTPONED

Posted by Pat

RESCHEDULED!

SIMPLE PLAN were evacuated out of Cancun when the MTV Latin Awards were canceled due to Hurricane Wilma. This has also resulted in the closing of roads and airports, which unfortunately has left the band's gear and stage set stuck in Mexico.

Therefore, TOMORROW'S SHOW AT SDSU OPEN AIR THEATRE HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20 AT SOMA. We regret the venue change but because the OPEN AIR THEATRE is a seasonal venue, it is not open for operations on the new date.

TICKETS PURCHASED FOR THE OPEN AIR THEATRE SHOW WILL BE HONORED AT THE SOMA SHOW! REFUNDS ALSO AVAILABLE AT POINT OF PURCHASE

MTV LATIN AMERICA AWARDS CANCELLED DUE TO HURRICANE WILMA

Posted by Pat

Hurrican Wilma, now a class 5 hurricane has forced the cancellation of the MTV Latin America Video Music Awards. Originally scheduled for Friday, the awards had been advanced to Thursday but are now being cancelled all together for security precautions. As I write this, the guys are on their way to the airport to leave cancun and make it safely into San Diego where the US tour starts saturday. This is unfortunate and the guys were looking forward to performing but these are unusual circumstances and unfortunately out of everyones hands. Hope to see you all on the tour this month!

man! i just wish i live in cnada. my country is geting a bit boring without forein artists coming here.

I have heard of them but haven't listned to any of their songs yet, what kind of bands are they...are they like Cake in the world of Punk Rock? And also you are now a member.

And I did find out where song came from...it came from the old Insomniac Album...I hadn't listned to it in ages.

Song of the Day: Uhhmm the first song on the Alkaline Trio album Crimson but I don't recall the name.

lol.... taking over what? our wallets? o.O

It took over mine a long time ago...

Oo! Thats a good topic! Who prefers to buy Cds rather than download them? *thinks he better keep this on-topic* I mean err... Who prefers to buy PUNK cds rather than download them? I do. See, I might download some songs, but then if I like the band enough, I'll go buy the album.

well id rather prefer buying cds rather than downloading. downloading takes a couple of hours or mins. to get in a website. so id rather prefer having them on cds. more news on simple plan tommorrow right now, im into discovering more about fort minor. and hey, kid frost, will linkin park...uhh...are they gonna make or are they preparing for a new album?

All the CD's I can buy are rubbish like "Australian Idol". Ugh.
All the CD's I want to buy are, and stay, overseas. Wah.
Broadband + LimeWire = My 30 gigs of music.
I'm satisfied. I've got every song I want that isn't out of a video game, and can't think of anything to get.

Anyone got a random song to throw at me? Perhaps your fav song? I'll get it and tell you what I thought of it :P
