-Began journey and chose Cyndaquil as starter, naming her Flare
-Got Pokedex and defeated rival, named rival Florida (because he chose Totodile... Florida "Gators"... yeah)
-Arrived in Violet City
-Defeated Sprout Tower, where Flare evolved into a Quilava :pink_boogie:
-Defeated Falkner for the Zephyr Badge!!

-Obtained Old Rod from Poke Center near Union Cave
-Went back and caught a level 10 Poliwag (Poseidon!) with Old Rod on Route 31
-Traversed Union Cave
-Defeated Team Rocket at Slowpoke Well
-Defeated Bugsy and received the Hive Badge!
-Defeated Rival Florida and his Gator nonsense
*Note: realized I could have caught a Goldeen in Union Cave with Old Rod, so I'll backtrack to catch it

Defeated Morty at Ecruteak mostly using tickle and astonish on Aibo.
Caught an Exeggcute using Headbutt and named her scramble.
Went to Olivine and then surfed to Cianwood.
Grinded everyone up to defeat Chuck.
Beat Chuck using Selfdestruct on Gaea and then reviving her and doing some damage with Persephone. Then used Self Destruct to knock out the Poliwrath and earned the Storm Badge

Messed with the time and went to Union Cave and caught Lapras, nicknamed him Aquarius.

Points of interest in the trip from Newbark Town to Ecruteak City:

- The dual typing of the bird pokemon and gengar's low level made him hard to level up at first so switching him in with phanpy was necessary.
- In Violet City, phanpy and gengar were able to catch up with each other in terms of levels due to gengar being more efficient in the sprout tower though phanpy once again took the main role in the gym battle against Falkner and getting the Zephyr Badge.
-After passing through union cave, the team arrived in Azalea Town and was able to foil Team Rocket's Slowpoke tail scheme. Gym leader Bugsy was then challenged and gengar and phanpy defeated Bugsy for the Hive Badge. Before exiting the town, we were also challenged by the rival, but the battle was won with the duo not fainting.
-Goldenrod City was the next destination after passing through Ilex forest and a lot of time here was spent exploring and grinding a bit (Phanpy was still unevolved at this point). Gengar once again took the supporting role for the battle via hypnosis though Whitney's Miltank is still a bit as tanky as ever. Plain Badge obtained.
-Our next pit stop was Ecruteak city after beating the sudowoodo blocking the road and several events occured before the gym battle. In order of occurence: beating the kimono girls and recieving the HM Surf (can't go on a journey without it), exploring the Burned Tower in which we met Eusine and Morty, fought the rival once more in which phanpy evolved after we won, and met the legendary dogs before they ran off.
-The Ecruteak City gym battle was gengar's shining moment in which he was able to defeat the gym trainer's and morty by himself due to donphan lacking moves which can hit ghost types. The Fog Badge was then obtained and gengar became the team's current strongest mon.
-After a quick trip into Olivine City for the Strength HM, we then backtracked a bit into the union cave to catch a natu.
