Just beat Team Galactic Commander Mars and her pokemon were ever so easy to defeat, after I cleared them out I was thanked by the scientist and his little daughter. Upon leaving the Windworks Looker decided to pay me a visit as he had a tip off about team Galactic, but unfortunately for him I had already defeated them all!

Against Brawly, i found out that the ability randomizer gives the SPECIES a random ability, so i got a little stuck with 3D against his own Levitating Ampharos. His ace was comically enough a Zubat :P

I have been wanting to do a nuzlocke for a long time, and this whole randomized thing sounds awesome :D

I actually decided against the Ruby Random Madness until I finish Platinum, I feel like I will lose interest in Platinum if I shy away, So I will do that before the Madness :D.


Thanks for the support of how I layout my Challenges! I did feel the 39 updates for leaf green was abit too long but some people seemed to like it :D

Progress update:

I decided to do a Log style ...well log, but with lots of sprites and a few screenshots in between. But as I take far too many screenshots, I decided to also do a kind of pictures in a spoiler as picture documentation and also for those who like to follow just the pictures, (a picture says more than a thousand words, they say) But anyways, please give your feedback on my layout, as I would like to improve it as much as I possibly can.

So, let's get started on this awesome challenge.
I named myself Hy

because the older games surprisingly lack the ability to name your Pokés with numbers. Also, the " which I would have used in 4"4Hy is not there even though it clearly is present in the character tileset.

The starters available are:

I chose Chansey

and named it Missingno. to sort of keep within my theme.

But anyways, due to the randomizer, instead of holding a berry, Missingno.

Had a nice Flower Mail (so useful) with two lines of question marks as you can see in the picture documentation below, lol? Not really what I expected...

I got to Mr. Pokemon, defeated ???, and got my Poké Balls. Now the only thing that was left to do was to catch some nice Pokémon.(Plural of Pokémon is Pokémon?)
The first encounter (exciting :D) was a lvl. 2 Flareon. I caught it and called it Vulcania

I then went to the Geodude Route and caught a Nidoqueen called PokeNido

(I know, I'm bad at naming Pokés, lol).
Next route gave a Stantler, but I killed it as my rival has a Stantler already, and I dont like Stantlers.
After a bit of grinding against wild Metapods and Kakunas (luckily?) I was ready to take on Joey (who actually was not called Joey but Jonathan, thanks random names). My team beat the trainers with relative ease, and I went on to Dark Cave, where I caught a Politoed, Toad

. This was soon to be a great addition to my team, as it was the only one able to hit the random ghost types.

On the Bellsprout Route, I met an Slowking, but it was killed by a crit Water Gun :(
Likewise with the Omastar in Sprout Tower, crit Water Gun is such a pest... (or am I just unlucky?)
Route 36 (Sudowoodo one) actually has grass in Crystal, and it gave me a Starmie, Fnork

, which I am probably not going to use unless another Pokémon dies.
Ruins of Alph, after the Puzzle, had a Poliwag, Toad jr.

, which went straigt to the box.

I then beat Falkner, and he gave me the TM Milk Drink. Now I just don't know who to give it...

Route 32 had Lanturn, Lightning

(I know, still original names...), and it went straight into my team. and the Egg gave a Butterfree, Its free

, straigt to the box.

And then to my absolutely horrible horribleness...
An evil fisherman killed my lovely Vulcania

with his stupid stupid Tentacool. It used Poison Sting, and poisoned Vulcania, but when i was out of the battle, i discovered I had absolutely No Antidotes or Potions left... How stupid am I! RIP Vulcania.

But life goes on, and I continued through the Onion Cave. In there I met a Scyther, and I thought to myself, Yes, finally the luck shines on me. So I got it down to red HP, and I started throwing Balls at it. 7

. But none could catch it. So I had to kill it, which I really didn't like.
But that is nothing compared to how i felt when I got out of the cave...
I thought well, let me try and see what Pokémon I'm gonna get here. So I walked into the grass, and encountered a Mewtwo. A freaking Mewtwo! In the grass outside Oninon Cave! But I had no Poké Balls left! I had used all of them against that stupid Scyther!
But eventually I had to defeat it :(

And then I ragequit...

- While grinding i accidentally got into a trainer battle and what do you know: A Groudon while my entire team is weak to or resisted by him -___- It killed Dumbass and Stalfos, and left Lulu with 7 HP R.I.P. Stalfos lv 8-16

- Lulu was on her own again, so i got her to lv 38 off of all the trainers in the area and then pwned Watson. He had a Moltres... But i had Thunderpunch

I lost most of my screenies, but here are some updates :D
-After the first gym, I retrieved Kyogre because of the overwhelming amount of legendaries in random Trainers. Caught a Lombre at Route 3, Caught a Vileplume at Mt. Moon.
-Caught a Kabuto at Route 4, Defeated Bridge Trainers and Gary and Cerulean Gym, wasted Suicune Encounter at Route 24, Caught a Trapinch at Rt. 25
-Caught a Bagon at Route 5, Bagon died at Rt. 24 :( (stupid Pinecos)
-Caught a Nidorina at Rt 6. Saved there.

My team so far, Leia the Trapinch, Kyojin the Kyogre, Crad the Cradily, Tropico the Tropius, Solera the Starmie (starter), and Rena the Nidorina.

I am so sorry Baygon (Bagon's nickname), I failed to make your dreams of flying come true :(

Leia shall continue your dream, and may you rest in peace :(

- Le Blanc was killed by Wallace's Pinsir, because it stoped my OHKO'ing it with Flash Fire and then used Guillutine ;_;R.I.P. Le Blanc

Good luck with that bro. It's okay just to post updates you can either take screenshots of progress or just write what's been going on, anything notable like a death or gym leader win should definitely be written. And for the Togepi egg, I personally just assume where it hatches as the place of the encounter, but honestly I like the randomness of the wild pokemon so much, that I just box the egg. GOOD LUCK;)

As I was approaching the great city of Ecruteak I caught

aka Scurry.
As I entered the Burned Tower, my rival, Mak, challenged me, unfortunately he knocked out Scurry before he got to battle at the gym. He definitely would've made the battle easier :P
Thankfully there weren't any other casualties between Mak and Morty.

Spike lv 24 Who was definitely the MVP for getting a critical hit to take out the Gengar in two hits

Just got a chance to start it mine on Pearl. Random starters were: Abra, Gible, and Swinub. I choice Gible (Joelle) which has the Quick Feet ability. After getting some pokeballs I went to the very first route and encountered a wild Staraptor (Starr) with Technician (hell yeah!).

I am off to a good start as once Joelle gets Dragon Rage and with the pure might of Staraptor with STAB-Technician-boosted Wing Attack I'll be set for a while.
