Additional Rules: If I have a full team I cant catch anything else so Whiteout=Game Over, Shiny Clause trumps all other rules about First Encounter or Only 6 etc, I am on ios with no way to use the Randomizer myself so I had to download the rom from another person so I have no clue whats been randomized and what hasnt.

Starters were Squirtle, Bellsprout, and Dratini. Although everything I knew screamed Squirtle, I chose Dratini despite the risks and went on with my new pal Quar. We murdered everything to Mr Pokemon and back before murdering our rival Felix's Squirtle(he wouldve got Bellsprout if I chose Squirtle phew :'D) and catching out next partner Daphne the Pichu. Going to Violet to fight and catch and train wish us luck. ~w~;;; ffff i meant to heal Daphne and healed Tasha instead so they killed Daphne Q-Q

Update #8

After beating Bugsy, it's time to advance to Ilex Forest... after fighting once again our rival, Hilbert.

He started with a Staravia. Seeing he couldn't do much damage to Riley, eventually he switched to his starter, Beautifly, who KO'd it. ;-; RIP Riley Lv. 10-15

Blue easily finished it off, leveling up and refusing to learn Gastro Acid. I switched to Wanda to fight his Zubat, easy. Defeating Staravia wasn't difficult. After Hilbert's speech, we can finally keep on.

Ilex Forest's encounter was a Haunter! After a long battle (I had to wait for it to Struggle, because I didn't want to defeat it), I caught it. Nicknamed her Susan, seemed fitting for her.

The charcoal maker's Farfetch'd were lost in the forest, so I had to get them. As a reward, I received HM01: Cut! Meanwhile, Susan learned Doom Desire and we found one more Berry.

Now that I can use Cut, I went back to Route 32, for another TM and a Razor Fang.

Traversing the forest... Finding lots of Berries (and other stuff)... Leveling up... Learning new moves... Interesting wild Pokémon... Useless Move Tutor...

FINALLY! It took so much time to do this, but it's done. On the gate, I am surprised with another TM, this time it's Bind. I'll keep it for later. On my trip back and forth to Azalea to heal once again (this is a Nuzlocke!), Viola leveled up.

At Route 34, caught a Milotic ( {:3} ) named Ariel. Lyra showed me the Day Care. Fought the trainers. Picked up Black Glasses and another TM: Crabhammer! Maybe I'll teach it later to Ariel.

And that's it! In the next update I plan to take on Whitney's Gym.

Upon reaching Goldenrod City, it's time to explore! First, I went shopping at the Department Store! Mom had a package for me, too.

There are lots of new TMs we can get! I checked the descriptions and concluded that they are the following: Guillotine. Rolling Kick, Camouflage, Present, Sunny Day, Aeroblast, Poison Sting, Grass Whistle, Energy Ball, Gravity, Spikes and Whirlwind. Currently I am almost out of money, but I'll come back later to get some, mainly Aeroblast and Energy Ball.

There's also an interesting trade request, but no, thanks.

Finally, I wasted 300 Poké just to get a Berry, so I remembered to sell my Big Mushroom from last update.

At the basement, we got lots of new items.

Next, we visited the Game Corner for a quick play. I don't know if the prize Pokémon would be randomized, but I won't lose time trying to get them.

In the Goldenrod Tunnel, we met Lyra (for some reason I always keep calling her May) again, and she gave us a Fashion Case (which will be totally useful in a Nuzlocke).

I decided to let Ariel learn Toxic Spikes instead of Pain Split, I think it's more useful. We also took a photo in a Team Rocket outfit.

In front of the Bike Shop, we found yet another Berry. Then the shop owner lent me a Bike.

Finally, we went to the Radio Tower. For Whitney's surprise, I succeeded in answering correctly to all the questions of the quiz, obtaining the Radio app for the PokéGear. This made her return to the Gym, ready to be challenged. I also received the Blue Card from Buena, and a Poké Ball for remembering correctly the password for the first time.

The first Trainer at the Gym started with a Poochyena, so this Gym will be Dark-type! Not a big deal, since the regular Trainers were basically made of Poochyena and Carvanha.

After some small fights, we reached Whitney, Goldenrod City's Gym Leader. Only 2 Pokémon! It was easy, because this time she didn't have her annoying Miltank!

First up was another Carvanha. No big deal.

The second one was Shiftry. Also easy.

I guess this has been the easiest Gym battle so far! I hope the next ones are like this!
After Whitney's crying, we received our Plain Badge and the right to use Strength out of battle! (Even though we don't get that HM this early...) We also received the TM for ViceGrip, which we already had obtained in the wild.

I'll try to keep updating in a regular manner, because I really want to complete this challenge!

Update 1: Catching Mascots

I started my game, and the starters were Sandslash, Marowak, and Grumpig. I chose Sandslash, and my friend made me call him Sanik.

Abilities are random, and he had Huge Power. It was pretty amazing to find out.

I got to Mr. Pokemon's house and got the egg, as I came back I fought and defeated my rival - "Jessica", according to the randomizer - and his Marowak.

Now that I have Poke Balls, I can start catching things! I started off with a Vigoroth and a Kricketune. They have Keen Eye and White Smoke, respectively.

The Vigoroth is named Sugarhigh because I couldn't think of anything. The Kricketune is named Chirpe.

This is where something incredible happened. I reached Cherrygrove, ready to get my next encounter, and then I saw the flashes that meant I had run into a legendary. Latios, my mascot, was there to greet me! I caught it eventually, but it was a bit frustrating. Sanik was able to hit it with scratch perfectly, putting it in the red zone after just one hit. From there I just started chucking. His ability is Anger Point, which is kind of useless considering he's a special attacker, but it's still nice.

Meet Lustrpurge the Latios! Luster Purge just wouldn't fit, but there I am with my mascot!

My first Trainer battle was not easy. He only had one Pokemon, but it was a Dusknoir and my team only knew Normal-type moves. That is, except for Lustrpurge, who pretty much just saved my run.

Another trainer on that route had a Grovyle. So, a Grovyle and a Dusknoir. Did anyone else think of Mystery Dungeon right away?

There was also a Minun involved, thanks to the last trainer.

So now I'm in front of Dark Cave, which is a new route, which means I get another encounter! This time, I got myself Pyx the Granbull, who has Technician for an ability.

Inside the cave, I got myself a Tauros named Aldebaran. His ability is Rain Dish.

Then I left the cave and kept going, but first I picked up the item next to it. It was a Life Orb. Not really an ideal item for nuzlockes, but a great competitive item nonetheless.

The next Trainer wasn't a fun time, showing me a Blaziken and a Kyogre. But we were able to handle them. The item next to him ended up being an Ultra Ball. Maybe I can use that later?

With that done, we could head to Violet City! After healing up my team, I shuffled some of them around, boxing Chirpe and Aldebaran. The next stop was the Sprout Tower.

Look at that, Leftovers! A great item for a run like this.

I've gone pretty far, and I still haven't had an encounter... there it is! Meet Scotch the Glameow, named after a cat I had when I was little named Butterscotch.

Now I'm at the top of the tower, and I found a PP Max over here. Next update, we'll hopefully be facing our first (and possibly second) gym!

I was thrown in the back of the truck since there's no room up front. I had a strange dream where Professor Birch was talking to me, for some reason he was telling me that I was in the Pokemon world and asking my gender and my name, it was pretty weird.

Dragonaire, not bad

Surprisingly, I made it from Johto to here without any scrapes or bruises. Mom opened the door and showed me my new home in Littleroot Town. Right off the bat she had me go introduce myself to Professor Birch, but he wasn't home. Mrs. Birch told me to go upstairs to meet their daughter, May. She's pretty weird. After we introduced ourselves, she said she was going to go and help her Dad catch Pokemon, but for some reason, instead of going outside, she went to her computer. I left May's house and I heard screams off in the distance. I went to check it out and I found Professor Birch being chased by a wild Zigzagoon! He told me there were Pokeballs in his briefcase and wanted me to pick one of them to help save him. I opened it up and found three Pokemon just like he said there would be.

I decided to pick Lanturn and took out the Zigzagoon pretty quick. Professor Birch thanked me and invited me into his lab next.

I named Lanturn Akiko and then went off to find May again. She was only a town over so I decided it would be pretty nice to go and visit her. She was facing the opposite direction when I found her, so I decided that it would be pretty funny to go behind her and scare her. She wasn't too surprised but then challenged me to a battle.

She had chosen Cascoon, who only knew harden so it was an easy battle to win.

We went back to the lab and then she gave me Pokeballs after her Dad gave me the Pokedex. Before I left town, my Mom and I talked for a bit and she gave me the running shoes and thus began my adventure across Hoenn

On route 101, I caught a Castform. I decided to name her "Clima" she seemed timid and weak at first, but she's looking to be the strongest member on my team throughout my journey. On route 103, I caught a surskit named "Waverunner". I already had a Water type so I decided that I would box him for a later time. On route 102 I ran into a the mon, the myth, the legend, Lord Helix himself, Omanyte. I caught him and named him Lord Helix and took him out for training, despite me already having a water type.

On Route 103, things were going pretty good, until we ran into Celebii. I figured Lord Helix wouldn't have trouble taking her down which was kind of true. She used leech seed and kept zapping Lord Helix's health. Both of them on red, I told Lord Helix to use constrict. Celebii survived it with one hp. Celebii finally revealed her attacking move to me as she killed Lord Helix.

Determined not to let this shake me, I ran from the Celebii and decided to go visit Dad. He made me promise to get 4 badges before facing him and then sent me off afterwards. On the next route, I caught Zig, the Zigzagoon. In the Petalburg Woods, I was going to catch Poochenya, but Clima got overeager and crited it to death. On route 104, I caught Janine the Crobat, but she died very quickly. Her first battle agains A Wobbufet she was killed by a counter after her first hit.

I forgot to catch a Pokemon on route 116, but in the Rusturf Tunnel, I caught Flo Rida, the Feraligatr. He would end up dying from poisoning.

Deciding that it was time, I went to challenge Roxanne and beat her pretty easily. Her last mon was Combuskion, but Clima handled it easily. Having my first badge, I decided that I would rest in the Pokemon Center for a bit to log this all.

Some Aqua Grunt stole the goods from the employee I met in the woods. (Poor guy can't catch a break) I went to go and get them back for him, and it turns out the grunt took a Wingull hostage. I ended up helping save the Wingull and get the goods back. Afterwords, I met with Mr. Stone and he gave me the PokeNav, which is basically like a cell phone. It's actually kind of better than the PokeGear back in Johto. Anyways, as I was leaving town I found May and we battled again
This time she added a Sunflora to her team.

I took it our easily and then she sent out her starter. I expected it to be a Dustox by now so I was pretty prepared for a tough fight.

Sadly, it wasn't much of a challenge. Clima took it out with an ember and then May told me to go talk to Mr Briney since he could give me a lift to Dewford Town.

I met Mr. Briney and went to Dewford with him. While I was on the water, Dad called me so we talked for a little and then before I knew it, we had arrived. Some nice fisherman gave me a Old Rod so I decided to go fishing and see what I could find in the water, maybe something like a Gyarados or a Feebas, maybe even Kyogre!

I guess I overestimated things.

I caught Vileplume and named him Bob then went into the Dewford Cave where I caught Namazu the Whiscash. I delieved the letter to Steven hitch free and even made it to Brawly pretty easy. The battle went smoothly until his last Pokemon. Akiko didn't make it out alive. Clima barely survived. I rushed back to the Pokemon center and healed Clima, then finally buried Akiko. It has been a somber night thus far.

This is Clima's team now, she's gonna have to carry the load with Akiko gone.

Update 2: Egg of Legend

With the remaining Sages defeated, (all of whom were randomized to the Lazy class), it was time to take on the Elder. Underestimating him, I didn't bother healing. What a mistake that would soon turn out to be.

He leads off with a Machamp, which, although the most intimidating, turned out to not be too much of an issue. Next, however, he would send out a Gastrodon, who's Water Pulse did a huge chunk of damage on everyone. Thinking Pyx could take a hit, I sent her in to deal with it... but after a couple Mud Slaps, a Water Pulse was too much.

R.I.P. Pyx the Granbull. You will be missed.

A Mankey came in next. Thinking Lustrpurge could handle it, I sent him in, but eventually I had to switch him out because he wasn't doing enough and I didn't want him to die. But everyone was on low health thanks to Gastrodon, and the only one who could come in and finish it off in one hit was Sanik. However, he was at the worst health, sitting at one health point.

I would have to sacrifice someone, and Scotch took the hit. May she rest in peace.

But Sanik could come in now without taking damage, and he ended the battle with one attack. As I mourned over the dead, I realized that I needed more Pokemon in my party. I took Aldebaran out of the PC, and went out to go get the encounters available to me.

On the route to the south of Violet, I found a Vaporeon! But it had Sand Stream and was slowly killing itself. I got it into the yellow, then started throwing Poke Balls until the sand brought it to 1 HP. It was at that point I decided to use the Ultra Ball. It worked! His name is Eric.

Now onto the Ruins of Alph. I did the puzzle, then fell into the chamber where I was met with a Porygon-Z! It was surprisingly easy to catch. His name is Flopple, and I'll give you a cookie if you get the reference.

After a bit of grinding, I went to the Gym to challenge Falkner. It should be noted that I had boxed Lustrpurge, because he doesn't get a good damaging move until Level 20. He led with a Chingling, which was easy to take care of with Flopple's Nasty Plot and Psybeam.

Then his ace was yet another Grovyle, which was also easy work.

It was over. We had gained our first Gym Badge. Look at this... unique... TM he gave me.

Anyway, this man wanted to trade a Ampharos for a Gastrodon. Hearing that name reminded me of the horrible battle from earlier...

I got the Mystery Egg, and noticed that it said it would take a long time to hatch. I could tell it was something rare because of that, but I had no idea what it would be. After a long time of running in circles while I did other things in my life, this happened.

I pretty much screamed. This is him.

Anyway, I then went to go get the three eggs from Primo, and this is what I got;

After that, I shuffled my team around, boxing Eric (because he doesn't get any good moves for a while) and the eggs. I pulled Lustrpurge back out to replace him.

The team is looking pretty strong. Watch out, Bugsy!

I did not catch any Pokemon in the Omoth Power Plant since I killed the Mienfoo.
On Route 2 George the Hippowdon joined the Team!
Kristie had Reuniclus, Tyrogue, and Raticate. That stupid Raticate's Bite made everyone keep flinching so I just let Sandstorm whittle away it's HP and kept switching Pokemon… so no one died.
I got the Normal Badge!
I met my Rival, May, and defeated her Exeggutor, Happiny and Chespin.
I killed an Escavalier on Route 5.
On Route 4 I caught Yvonne the Flareon!
Thomas had Eelektross, Honedge, and Archen. I got the War Badge!
On Route 3 I caught John the Numel.
The egg I received from Mr. Jones after beating Kristie finally hatched and I got Charlotte the Emolga! Then in Nettle Town I got another egg from Mr. Takeshi at the Nettle Town Orphanage and I got Puck the Volbeat.
Rachael had Kakuna, Wartortle, and Roserade, which made them easy prey for Charlotte and Yvonne. I got the Shade Badge!
And then Aroma Lady Yulien total party killed me with her Garchomp with Dragon Rage and her Kyurem…

On Route 3 I killed a Marowak. In Mt. Moon I caught Mandy the Geodude. On Route 4 I caught HM Slave the Bibarel. I beat Misty's Sunflora and Zigzagoon and got the Cascade Badge! And then my Rival had for his first two Pokemon, Lugia and Ho-Oh… my poor team… all dead… and since I do not have any spare Pokemon, I have to end my run.

It took me four Poke Balls but I caught River the Swampert by Lake Omoth.
Super Nerd Bobby had a Flygon and a Dialga! Thank goodness Frost's Powder Snow took care of Flygon and then River knew Mud-Slap to take down Dialga…
I caught Emerald the Bayleef in Omoth Mine.
Wilson had a horrid Lickilicky but fortunately despite it paralyzing my Pokemon Emerald poisoned it with Poisonpowder and then Frost's Snow Warning made it hail while Frost slowly whittled it down with Rock Throw…
Kristie had Poliwrath, Beheeyem, and Lilligant to win the Normal Badge!
As a reward, Mr. Jones gave me an Egg with an Ice type Pokemon inside of it.
I defeated my Rival May's Gogoat, Zweilous, and Gloom. It was close since Zweilous knew Dragon Rage…
I failed miserably at catching a Latios on Route 5.
In Nettle Town I got an egg with a Fire/Fighting type Pokemon inside of it, interesting… it hatched into Citrine the Pignite.
Ruby died from Youngster Jay's Simisage doing a lot of Fury Swipes damage.
Thomas had Umbreon, Magikarp and Samurott. I got the War Badge!
On Route 3 I killed a Cofagrigus.
Rachael had Zekrom, Reshiram and Swinub but fortunately I had River the Swampert as my leading Pokemon so I just kept using Mud Shot to take them down… I got the Shade Badge!
Ryuko died at level 18 to a War Party member's Musharna using Psybeam…
My Rival May had Nincada, Zygarde, Munchlax and Medicham.
On Route 6 I killed a Natu.
Nicole had Zweilous, Poliwhirl, Staraptor and Weavile. I got the Amp Badge!
In Violet City I fished up but killed a Magmar.
I killed a Buizel in Pokemon Tower.
I lost Emerald the Bayleef to Channeler Nicolette's Linoone using Fury Swipes…
I lost Sardonyx the Banette to the boss Pokemon, Pyrite the shiny Emolga, which I captured.

On Route 7 I caught Petchric the Shiftry.
In Alder Town I fished up but killed a Ledian.
On Route 9 I failed to catch Jirachi.
On Rantipole Island I failed to catch Virizion.

With another Gym Leader defeated, it was time to get that 2 TMs that I talked about.

Also got the SquirtBottle from the Flower Shop.

Continuing our trip, I advanced to Route 35. Battled the trainers, and Ariel didn't learn Reflect (it's not that important).

My encounter was a Kricketot, which I successfully catched and nicknamed "Jiminy" ('cause Jiminy Cricket!). It will stay boxed for now.

Meanwhile, the Bike Shop owner phoned me, thanking me for advertising his shop and so offered me the bike I had lent.

Also found an X Speed lying on the ground.

During the battles, Susan learned Overheat!

Found another, but not so useful TM: Gust. In the Pok?athlon Dome I got a Chople Berry and a Meadow Plate! At the National Park I received a Quick Claw and found a Green Scarf, the TM for Rollout and a Big Root.

Caught a Drapion, and felt like naming it "Rodrick". Maybe he could grow strong, but for now he'll stay boxed.

I'd also like to stand out that here it was probably the first time I used a Berry in this run, despite having got so many! I used a Rawst Berry on Ariel to cure her burn.
In Route 36, I got briefly scared...

Found a Blue Flute.

Caught a Shuppet. I came up with the name Nokia from the following (it will look silly...): Shuppet --> Puppet --> Pinocchio --> Nocchio --> Nokia :)

The odd tree blocking the way turned out to be... a Sealeo! How surprising! I didn't catch it because I already got an encounter here.

The girl offered me some Berries and Berry Pots. Not very useful in a Nuzlocke, but never mind.

Before advancing, I decided to help the man from Route 35's gate. He asked me to take his Pok?mon to his friend at Route 31, to deliver mail. Note that I will not keep it, so I am not violating the Nuzlocke rules. He gave me the TM for Conversion has a reward.

I still found a Spooky Plate (I had already found one) in Route 36.

Then I noted that there was yet another Route before the next city, meaning a new Pok?mon for our team! So, I went to the Pok? Mart to restock on Super Potions and Great Balls.

The encounter was a Shellder, that I named Helder.

Lucky enough, as it was Sunday, I found Sunny from the Week Siblings who gave me a Magnet!

And that's it! Reached Ecruteak City with 4 new Pok?mon on the PC! Also met Bill at the Pok?mon Center.

And we're back! Get this, my Jigglypuff has Seed Flare and Bulk up, with Poison Heal. That is some crazy ass Jigglypuff.
I caught th most crazy Amoongus ever in route 1, it's steel type and has shift gear and metal claw with Speed Boost...DAMN SON.

Nevermind, the Horsea destroyed me.

Okay, gonna do something with normal typings and all, just...just gonna try. a last try on this game.
And the starters are...*drumroll* Timburr, Nidoran-M and Mareep!
Now, i'm gonna randomize this as well, since in 5th gen they're kinda all trash.
I got Nidoran-Male. Not bad, not bad at all.

So, I wanted to try my first Nuzlocke but make it interesting (apparently I enjoy frustrating myself :P). I'll be playing Pokemon White, and I modified the rules here a bit. I took out the legendaries because it doesn't seem sporting from either side to potentially have them early game.

1. Change impossible evos – check
2. Starter pokemon should be random – check
a. Change – basic pokemon with 2 evolutions
3. Trainer pokemon should be random – check
a. Change – no legendaries
4. Wild pokemon should be random
a. Change – type-themed areas
b. Change – randomize held items
c. Change – no legendaries
5. Static pokemon should be random – check
a. Change – legendary to legendary and normal to normal

Since I've taken a looong, 2 1/2 year break from PokeCommunity, I think a good Nuzlocke challenge is a good way to get myself back into it!

Additional Rules: None (but I used a different randomiser. I used the Emerald-specific one by Arty. It's basically the same thing but the boxes that can be checked may vary slightly! This also means that the Pokemon available to catch may only be gen 3 and previous, not 100% sure yet.)

*EDIT* After playing about 5 hrs worth, I'm pretty certain that the only Pokemon in this game are from gen III and previous.

So, I'm starting this on the 7th August. Let's go!

It begins...
- three starters I had the choice of were Pichu, Elekid and Wailmer. Not great choices but oh well!
- went with Elekid as I've never played with him before
- Named Elekid Sparky because I'm really original ;)

Route 101/103
- Didn't run into any Pokemon which I was glad about considering I don't have any Pokeballs yet.
- Battled Rival - starter is Pichu - both have electric type starters :/
- after receiving Pokeballs, I went back to Route 103 to see if I wanted to catch one. It was a Machamp, so I decided not to.

Route 102
- Youngster Calvin sent out Electabuzz!!!
- Battled all trainers. Sparky learned Thunderpunch at lv 9
- First Pokemon encountered on Route 102 was Flaaffy. Didn't catch it bc already have an electric type

Petalburg City, Route 104, Petalburg Woods
- Wally's Pokemon is a Clefairy
- First Pokemon encountered on Route 104 is Magneton :( WHY ARE THEY ALL ELECTRIC TYPES?!
- First Pokemon encountered in Petalburg Woods is a lv 6 male Bellossom! Caught it, named it Lupin (like the flower ;) ). Took all of my Pokeballs to catch it, though >:(

- Battled Team Aqua grunt in the Woods
- Trained both Sparky and Lupin up to lv 14

Rustboro City and Route 116
- Arrived in Rustboro City. Defeated Roxanne
- First encounter in Route 116 is a female Jigglypuff. Not gonna catch it bc I don't really need it :P
- Then my first encounter in Rusturf Tunnel is an Electrike -.- another electric type, no thank you
- Went through the Devon stuff, then defeated my rival

Dewford Town and Granite Cave
- Obtained Old Rod
- Used the rod in the sea on Route 117. Encountered a lv 6 female Carvanha - caught it! Named her Rosie
- Encountered a lv 7 female Persian in Granite Cave. Was gonna catch it just to make my team a bit more exciting, but one hit KO'd it, oops
- Both Sparky and Lupin are lv 20, so I trained up Rosie in Granite Cave to level 18 before taking on Brawly.

- Took on Brawly - it was difficult. Nearly lost Sparky but he survived with around 4HP to spare
- Just realised I could catch one using the Old Rod on Route 106! It was a lv 7 Venusaur, lol. Decided to leave it
- Made it through Granite Cave without Flash, gave Steven the letter

And we're off! My starters ended up being Elekid, Bagon, and Totodile. I chose Elekid; Bianca got Totodile, and Cheren took Bagon. I made it to the first gym with no casualties, although one youngster's Amoonguss nearly took out two of my team before I killed it. The team so far is:
