I pulled my map out of my back pack and started to look for the next town. The closest town was through a route on the south side of Amber. According to the map it was grassland.
"Floon!" Loony cried.
I gave her a little rub on the top of her head. I had decided earlier to let her stay outside of her poke'ball because she always kept coming out whenever I put her back in. It was nerve wracking for her to come out constantly when I had put her back in, so I decided to let her do what she wanted to do and let her stay out.
One thing I found about Loony through this experience was that she was stubborn, very stubborn. If she was so stubborn to stay outside of the poke'ball with me then she would be very stubborn in order to get what she wanted.
My eyes followed the map as I walked out of Amber Town. The route beyond Amber Town was nice. The wind was blowing across the ground, some Pokemon were hiding in the tall grass, others were minding their own business, and some bird like Pokemon were gliding across the sky. I had shoved my poke'dex at different Pokemon I saw. It was interesting to read about what the poke'dex had to say about the Pokemon I saw on this route. I quickly moved on after recording each Pokemon in the poke'dex, but what interested me though was this bunny like Pokemon. The bunny like Pokemon was hopping around in the grass, minding its own business. It would just jump around and every once in a while it would stop to smell the flowers. I had shoved my poke'dex like some freak in the general direction as the bunny Pokemon.
"When Buneary senses danger, it perks up its ears. On cold nights, it sleeps with its head tucked into its fur. It often runs and hides in its mother's fur. Buneary are able to deliver powerful blows with their curled up ears. They also have impressive jumping ability." The poke'dex beeped.
"Hey Loony," I whispered.
"Floon?"
"See that Pokemon over there?" I asked, I received a nod in reply from the balloon Pokemon, "That Buneary is going to be our new friend, want to battle it?"
"Floon!"
"Start with Constrict," I ordered. Loony cried and started to spin like a Baltoy. The spinning was like a form of transportation, moving closer to the Buneary, who was currently smelling the flowers.
"Bun!" The bunny Pokemon cried as it jumped. It must have heard Loony's approach. Buneary's eyes began to glow with a blue color before it brought one of its long ears in the air and smacked Loony.
"What the…" I muttered as Loony was flying back, "That doesn't make sense, normal type attacks don't work on Ghost types, unless it used…"
Foresight! It made sense now. When its eyes were glowing, that was foresight! No wonder why it could hit Loony with a normal type attack. Foresight was a move that allowed Pokemon to use normal and fighting type moves against a ghost Pokemon. I also heard that it cold be used to find ghost type Pokemon hidden in the shadows.
"Try to head for it again with Constrict," I told Loony. The balloon Pokemon cried as she began to spin into Constrict again. The bunny Pokemon raised one of its ears again to strike Loony, but this time I was ready for that.
"Minimize then head back into Constrict!"
Loony began to glow and shrunk. She was shrinking to a very small size and stopped when she was small enough for the pound to miss her. She then began to glow with a green aura, regaining her size and then wrapped her arms around the bunny Pokemon. Buneary began to struggle and cry in pain as Loony started to strangle it.
"Tighter," I commanded.
Loony began to strengthen her hold on Buneary. It began to cry louder in pain. I flinched when its cry got louder and grabbed a poke'ball out from my backpack.
"Let go of it now," I said.
Loony loosened her hold on Buneary, letting it fall out of her grip. I then threw the poke'ball at it. The ball opened and sucked the Pokemon in. The contraption met the floor and began to shake and beep.
