Heh Stealth Rock and stone edge. Back when I used to battle with my cousin she used to overuse those two moves :/

And Red has one, but that's besides the point.

I love Red's Aero <3

Red's Aero be pimpin' yo! I'm in a weird mood

Anyways, Stone Edge and Stealth Rock are both really great both on Aero, which is probably part of the reason why I grew to love him so much after using him on Soul Silver. To be quite honest, I think he might have been the first Rock Pokemon that I used on a team, as while I've liked Rock Pokemon, they never managed a spot beforehand. Corsola, while I love it so much, was one of those that I never managed. :( I should try to get Corsola on a team sometime.

I remember when I was younger and playing crystal, the first time I had ever reached the Elite Four. Aerodactyl was the first one on Lance's team and I remember having difficulty beating it. Seeing as I was careless as a 7 year old and only trained my typhlosion and no other pokemon... well rock and fire didn't really work out in my side xD The number of times I had to turn off my game and turn it back on because of Aerodactyl's Rock Slide.

Though I was pretty sad that Aero wasn't in Red's team when I played Crystal, seeing as I had read quite far in the Yellow Arc and I was kinda expecting him with red

Ooh, I'll join!

Name: Pikapal642
Chosen partner:
Can I choose Tyranitar (Named Tyrone, lol) even though someone already did? If not, I will go with Relicanth, named Anthony. :3
Reason for joining: I just realized how much rock pokemon...rule. >__> Had to avoid the pun there. XD

Anyway, the topic: I think a dual type rock pokemon would be fine, so long as it is obviously rock type. Like, I don't think Relicanth is immediately recongizable as a rock type. Geodude or Graveler, however, are, so they would work better.

Hah Relicanth. I never got to play R/S/E because I had this massive pokemon break between 2nd and 4th gen and my cousin used to against me in a battle... I actually thought it was a pure pokemon... well I was mistaken easily

Wow. Haven't posted in a long time.
Speaking of Stealth Rock and Stone Edge...TOPIC IDEA! I'mma wait till we get a mascot though.
Suggest away. Just PM me what it is.

we should make a hack based on this. a hack with only rock type
That would be a dream come true. Make Archeops defeat the mighty Arceus!

Sure, that's fine with me.

I didn't actually know Relicanth was a rock type, along with Corsola. Guess I have no place in my head for part rock and water types. So, Gigalith is an obvious rock type, does that mean you have a vote for him?

Just a little announcement. Zappyspiker has been promoted! Congratulations!

Heh, you two are the second and third, respectively, that I have heard say that they didn't know about Relicanth's rock typing. It must be pretty stealthy about it. XD

Congrats Zappyspiker! :D

Yay promotion! I had a Corsola in my team for quite some time in my team in crystal, though if I can remember clearly I had a hard time catching it xD

I remember that after watching the episode where Misty caught her Corsola I really wanted one in my team and back then it took forever for me to find it. My cousin also had some obssession with it in SS because Corsola is the only pink rock type Pokémon

I'm a huge fan of Relicanth. I mean, what's there to not like about it? It's a freaking coelacanth. I remember when I first saw it, I thought it was some rare special Pokemon so I HAD to catch it. I honestly never tried using it but I wouldn't say it's too bad in battle. But, I think it's like Crustle, just with Rock Head + Head Smash which is an amazing combo. I really like it's design, it's so adorable.

But, I think it's like Crustle, just with Rock Head + Head Smash which is an amazing combo.

Rock Head + Head Smash is definitely one of my favourite Ability + Attack combos - A heavy power of 150 while at the same time eliminating the cost of damage from recoil. All though to be honest I'd like any attack with recoil damage to be paired with the Rock Head ability.

Whoa, never noticed that. When I saw Head Smash, I thought it would lower a stat. I've never used that move though.

I personally don't use it often, though I use it sometimes when I battle my friends and cousins, sorta like a last KO sort of thing. Still love that combination though

So new changes. As you can see, I have updated the first post to make it look better. New topic is added too.

So to the topic, this is my answer.

Name: Gravel Assault
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100
The user gathers rocks around it and tackles the foe hardly.

Since every rock type move is Physical, this is our new topic. If you could make a Physical Rock type move, which one would it be? It has to have 100% accuracy and up to 90% power. Also, explain how the move would look like.

Ummm, isn't Power Gem a special based rock type move?

Anyways, here would be my physical rock type move:

Name: Obsidian Slash
Power: 50
Accuracy: 100
Effect: 10% chance at paralyzing
Description: The user generates an sharp obsidian blade and slashes at the opponent. Due to the extreme sharpness of obsidian shards, it is possible to paralyze an opponent by slicing through muscles and nerves.

Apparently, as said by Spinosaurus, Power Gem and Ancient Power are two special rock type moves but rock types usually don't use it effectively.

Meh, I suck at making moves but:

Name: Sandstorm Tornado
Power: 80
Accuracy: 100
Description: A tornado of sand and dust is whipped up from the ground and launched at the target to inflict damage. The Power is increased when Sandstorm is in play.
Smiliar to moves such as Gust and Twister. It may also make targets flinch.

That's a good one zappy. But how much does it increases when sandstorm is up?

Depends, It could be like Magnitude where it doesn't have a set base power but instead Sandstorm Tornado doesn't have a set increase power
