What do you people think about this rep problem??? It is becoming more and more annoying for many members instead of a positive thing.... so please give your opinion on which you think it should be done with rep...

as i've said in the other thread, the problem with voting by poll is that ppl can use different screennames to vote :\ so the actual numbers wont be accurate

with regards rep, i think it's a good thing. if there are problem makers who either repeatedly give pointless bad rep or who repeatedly ask their friends for rep they can be reported to staff. everyone can tell when ppl cheat at their rep really coz it tends to be crazily high with a relatively low post count :P
i like rep coz i enjoy seeing the comments ppl leave ^^ and knowing you've earned it honestly without asking/hinting by giving to others is a good feeling ^^

just remember guys, giving pointless rep to friends isnt the point of rep :\

does it really matter? if people think badly of u, deleting rep isn't gonna change anything. i think it's fun. i just started having sum.

Likewise, giving somwone negative rep for stupid and/or no reason often leaves the recipient wondering what they did to deserve the bad rep

I don't really know.... Sometimes rep points could attack your self confidence, yet sometimes it could give your confidence a boost. Overall, I just think that the giver needs to be sincere, and truthful.

Well... If I were to make a decision, I would disable the delating rep option. Why waste time delating while you could just ignore that person? =/ If you're like me, having dial-up is pain when you want to add/minus rep.

Well, sorry Miyu-Chan, but now-a-days more and more people are getting DSL or Faster, which means, people have easier access to the net. With that comes boredom. Some people get bored because they can do things faster now, or just get bored of something in general, and cause mischevious. Maybe, instead of thinking about deleting it, make it so if a person gives bad rep, it doesn't hurt the rep points of the person, but gives a PM or something to the mod of the thread place it was in and the Mod can decide what to do.

Example:
1]I start flaiming people and cursing in the shiny hunters thread (Mixed Communities).
2] Person sees it, knows it is against PC's rules, and gives me a bad rep.
3] I see a little blue box (neutral rep) and a message attached.
4] The post with the bad rep gets sent to Df, since she is the mod of that area.
5] If it is a dumb bad rep, she can choose to punish the person who purposely wasted her time, or if it was right, she can punish the person who deserved the bad rep.

Yum.........rotted banans...these things sure hit the spot! :D
