The Road to Pokemon Master!

"Brace yourself, pipsqueak!" Leo ordered as Theo's Eevee launched towards Peech. Unfortunately, it seemed like Magby was glaring at Peech. As Leo took a closer look, he realized it wasn't glaring, it was using Leer. The Tiny Mouse was too stunned to defend herself from the Tackle that was about to hit.

"Rodent, use Ta-" Too late! The attack hit Peech straight on, making her fly off a great distance, dealing her tremendous amount of damage. She tried to get up, but she just kept falling down on her back. Meanwhile, Rattata was still running around but most of the flames that engulfed him has died down. Leo knew he had to think quick if he wanted to win this match. He just couldn't afford to lose this one. So he ordered Peech to do a risky maneuver that could endanger her life.

"Use Thundershock on Magby again, pipsqueak. This time, hold it for as long as you can. Rattata, control yourself and Tackle Magby."

Peech sat upright and looked at her trainer. She knew that he knew very well that a Pichu could get hurt when it lets loose too much energy. She couldn't believe that her new trainer would risk her health just to win a single match. Tears fell out of her eyes but she still stood up and charged up her electricity. Sparks flew from her cheeks. The teardrops that fell from her eyes were also filled with electricity. She let out a great arc of electricity that led towards the opponent, while Rattata ran towards the same direction. Leo was smiling when he saw what was coming for Theo's Magby, knowing very well that it was hurting his Pichu as well. But knowing Leo (well, in daytime, at least), he couldn't care less.

Theo was in partial shock as he saw his opponent's complete disregard for his Pokemon's wellbeing. He was commanding a Pichu to use an Electric attack at full power when it already had little energy, and then pushed his Ratatta despite that it was clearly burned. Now it was already customary to battle Pokemon until they faint, but to push them like this, knowing that it will cause them pain, was sick in Theo's mind.

Another Electric shock was heading towards Magby. In his current state, he might be able to stand through the Tackle, but another Thundershock would surely knock it out.

"Magby, sidestep." Theo tried to say, but to no avail.

Ratatta was far faster than Theo had anticipated. It slammed its head right into Magby's chest, sending it flying backwards a few feet. It hit the ground and rolled over a few times before it stopped. Luckily, since Magby was flung backwards the Thundershock didn't hit in its entirety. Magby looked in really bad shape.

"Magby, you think you can go on?" Theo asked quietly.

It looked like Magby was just as willing to lose as Theo was. He shakily got back to its feet. It raised and bent both of its arms, like a person flexing their muscles. It let out a loud cry. It probably couldn't take one more attack, but it was going to make the most of it.

Theo had to smile at this display. He was happy that his Pokemon was so eager to win.

"Magby, Ember on Ratatta." Theo said as flames already erupted from inside Magby.

"And now, Eevee, Tackle Pichu." Theo commanded.

Eevee resumed the stance it was in before, and sprang once again.

In seconds, Rattata was, again, engulfed in flames as the opponent's Magby used another Ember at him. Oddly though, this time, the purple mouse didn't run around. It just stood there as it burned. Meanwhile, Peech was still in shock by her own attack. She couldn't move at all, so when the Tackle hit again, she flew off a greater distance than before, leaving her unconscious while still having sparks fly from her fur.

Leo bit back a curse as he saw his electric-type starter fall down on the ground for good. He took Peech's ball and returned the Tiny Mouse back in it.

"I'll deal with you later." he whispered to the Pokéball, and he put it back in his pocket. [I can still win this. As long as Rattata is still in play, I can still win this.] But when he turned to face Rattata, his face grew dark. His purple rodent now lay on the ground as if it was dead, still burning. With a big frown on his face, he took the defeated Pokémon's ball and broke it in half. It was clear to him that Rattata was not worth it. Without any other word, he marched right into the Pokemon Center, forgetting about Piper who was watching him battle the whole time.

The second Leo had entered the Pokemon Center Magby collapsed, unconscious. Theo recalled both of his Pokemon, praising them for their excellent performance in battle. He knew he didn't win by much, and that Leo could've triumphed had he used his Pokemon as a team better. That made Theo want to train more. Leo was the first trainer he wanted to beat, the first trainer where winning was a big deal. This wasn't any ordinary want to win either, it wasn't like a gym battle: where you want to win in order to advance. This was more that Theo wanted to win just to beat Leo.

Theo waited outside the Pokemon Center for several minutes, to make sure he wouldn't run into Leo again. As he finally walked in his grudge remained still. It wasn't like Theo to dislike a person after knowing for only about half an hour, but this was different. He was disgusted at Leo's outright disrespect for his Pokemon. Not to mention how he had skulked off when he lost, completely ignoring Theo. Leo was defiantly a person Theo didn't want to see again. Yet, he had a feeling he somehow would.

It was less than an hour later when his Pokemon were healed. When he left, no Pokemon walked with him, Theo felt they deserved to rest a little while longer.

Onwards he walked. He knew where he was going, as he had already walked this path. He came to the edge of town. There he saw that the old man who had previously harassed him was still there, lecturing a trainer about how to catch a Pokemon.

Theo stopped, dead. He was stricken with fear. To avoid another run-in, Theo decided to take the long way around. He had just hoped he wasn't seen by that man.

After Akura had finished her breakfast, she recalled Eve and Azu into their pokéballs, bid goodbye to the people still in the pokémon center and left. She rummaged through her bag on a bench outside to see if she had got everything she needed... but suddenly one of her pokéballs sprung open inside her pocket again. Luckily Eve jumped out from her pocket before she grew to normal size, or Akura's shorts would have broken.

"Eve! Oh, that's right... no use trying to put you inside a pokéball."

Eve shook her big ears in response and gave Akura her normal, blank look.

"You did remind me though... I need to find a belt like some of those other trainers have. It's too hard having you in my pocket. What if I pick the wrong pokéball at some point?"

She went to the stores in Viridian, looking through the windows trying to find some place that sold a belt like she needed. She held Eve's pokéball in her left hand.

Suddenly, a man came up to her in the market. "Excuse me, young miss," he said and completely startled Akura. "I see you have a pokémon by your side. I'm sure you want to catch more of them, no? For that, you'll need pokéballs! Come with me!"

And before Akura knew what was happening, she was dragged through the stands in the market until they came to a halt at a stand that was completely filled with crazy apparatus and pokéballs in strange colors.

"Here, you'll find everything you didn't know you wanted!" the weird man said and started to pick up several things to show her. "Take a look at this ball, for example, it..."

But Akura had found something else that interested her more. The stand beside the weird man's was displaying leather bags and belts in countless variations of sizes and use. Eve seemed to share her mind at the moment, for it jumped away from her and up on top of a table at the other stand, sniffing a strange looking belt.

Akura followed, the weird man behind them screaming for them not to leave for his rivals. But she didn't listen. The bags here were amazingly beautiful. Some were covered in pearls or strands of woven textile and some belts and vests were colored red or gray or even white.

"Like what you see?" a silky men's voice said. Akura looked up and faced a man with long, swaying dark hair and a goatee.

"Well... Yes," Akura said. Oh, why not ask? "I'm looking for something special, actually. Do you happen to have a belt that can hold pokéballs?"

The man narrowed his eyes a little, without loosing his thin smile. It was as if he was eying her to take her measurements or something. His gaze fell still upon the thick textile band that held her backpack across her chest. "I think I have something more fitting," he said and turned away for a moment.

Akura was puzzled. Eve gave up a little "vuiii" on the table, waving her tail slowly with a vacant look. The man turned back and in his hands he held what looked like a white leather belt but still not.

"It's made to be fastened across one's chest instead of around the waist. In your case, you could tie it to your bag and have it on top of the velcro band across your chest. In it are special magnets that attract pokéballs. They won't fall off if you're not scraping your chest against a rock or something, but they will come off when you grab them with your hand."

Akura's blank face went away and was replaced by eagerness. "Wonderful!" she said. The man with the goatee smiled and the weird man in the stand next to them was boiling.

A few minutes later, Akura was walking away from the market, not so happy anymore. The seemingly kind man had been wanting an enormous amount of money for that belt. But after a while she'd been able to haggle a little bit. The chest belt was now sitting across her chest from her left shoulder, tied to the bag on her back and sitting perfectly on top of her velcro band now. The color even matched the bag, as the leather material made the white color look a bit gray. Some strands with green and purple pearls were hanging down from it, glistening beside the two pokéballs fastened already. Azu's on top and then Eve's. All in all, she guessed it was a good deal.

And now she was ready. She wasn't going to wait around to get left behind the others. She was leaving Viridian city to go north. Or maybe west? She suddenly realized she wasn't really sure which way to go. Maybe she shouldn't try to go alone after all... She reached into her bag and put on a dark blue zip-hood. Looking ahead, she could spot the pokémon center a few blocks away. Should she go back and try to find Tallie or Theo?

Eve poked her leg with its nose and looked up at her. Akura bent down and patted the pokémon slightly. Was it purring again?

No. She would go on alone. If she was meant to meet someone else again, she would. She left Viridian... to go north.

((OOC: Btw, shouldn't Eve and Azu have gotten exp when fighting the Rattatas? I think their levels should be

Azu: 7
Eve: 6 ))

(OOC: Cool, you're still in.)

It took a little bit longer to go the long way around, but Theo didn't care. So long as he never had to see that old man ever again, he didn't care. He passed by the Gym again, still it showed now signs of activity. Theo wondered why he didn't get word of the gym shutting down. He also wondered where he would get its badge from now. Perhaps a new gym was set up elsewhere.

Finally, he was back on the main road and out of the city. It was back to dirt roads and trees. That was okay, though, for Theo liked the serene look. It was a nice break from the bustling cities he grew up in as a child. And the incredibly sheltered school, of which he had more memories of than the house he grew up in.

A small distance behind him, Theo noticed Akura walking. She was wearing a new chest strap that was holding her Pokeballs. It had strands of pearls hanging from it. Theo wasn't a fan. It's not that it looked bad, it just wasn't exactly Theo's style. He far preferred the belt he kept under his jacket and around his waist at all times. He wondered how it would be reaching for Pokeballs across your chest as opposed to by your sides.

He wasn't willing to find out. He pretended not to notice her and kept on walking. If she wanted to talk, she would have to initiate the conversation herself.

((OOC: Yes. Somewhat ^^ ))

Akura spotted Theodore walking ahead of her. He didn't even look at her. Maybe he hadn't noticed she was there? A slight annoyance grew inside her. She wasn't at all thinking about her appearance with the new pokéball "belt"; she was simply wondering if she had misjudged him when thinking he was kind earlier. Or maybe he simply hadn't seen her.

She decided not to try and find out. Ignoring the boy, she also ignored her previous wish to get ahead of all the other trainers, and slowed down her steps a bit.

Eventually, it became a little ridiculous to follow him like that. She stopped, Eve almost walking into her foot. Akura broke off from the road, casting Theodore one last glance and instead heading into the tall grass at the side of the road.

She hadn't been walking for long, but she already found it boring. She was actually searching for another pokémon to battle... even though she felt a little bad about simply battling wild pokémon for training. Then she came up with another idea. She had already fought Theodore, but maybe she could challenge one of the other trainers?

But that would mean going back to Viridian... or simply wait for them to come here. Oh well. She went back to the road again and sat down on a rock, determined to stare at and challenge the first one of the Pallet trainers who passed her.

Out of the corner of his eye, Theo saw Akura sit herself down on a rock. Theo didn't know what she was doing, then again, he didn't really care. So he kept on walking. He stopped in the early afternoon by a pond. He was still a little ways away from Viridinan Forest so he decided to have a bit of lunch before continuing onwards.

He sent out both Eevee and Magby and fed them both. Once their bowls were filled Theo rifled through his bag, searching for something to eat. In due time, he found something. He put down his bag and sat down, leaning himself against a rock. That' when Magby let out a loud cry, it sounded mad.

Theo put down his food by his bag and went to investigate. He saw his two Pokemon and their bowls by the water's edge. Only the two weren't looking at their food, instead focusing on a mysterious pink Pokemon that was in front of Magby's bowl.

The creature had pink skin, curly ears, a white-tipped tail, and a tan muzzle. It took its two front legs and put them into the bowl, taking out a piece of food. It then proceeded to put the food into its wide open mouth.

That was the last straw for Magby, who let loose an Ember attack. It hit the creature squarely in the face, only it didn't pay attention. A few seconds later the creature looked at Magby, more sad than in pain.

"Sloooooooooooowwwwwww," it said questioningly.

Theo pulled out his Pokedex to see what it had to say. It said this:

"Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon. No one can tell when a Slowpoke is thinking, if it ever does think. Its specialty is fishing with its tail."

Theo stared at the Pokemon. It seemed odd that there existed a Pokemon that did so little. It simply continued to eat.

Magby's rage grew. It let loose another Ember. Once again, it took the Pokemon several seconds to respond. Even at that, it didn't seem to care much. It looked at Magby, and cocked its head, mouth still ajar.

"Slooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwpoooooooookkkkkkkeeeeeeee." it said, sounding as if it was yawning.

Magby's rage left its eyes. It grew dreary. Then gave in to the drowsiness and fell asleep. Slowpoke then turned its attention to a nearby butterfly, it was completely captivated.

Theo swiped the food away from Slowpoke, who didn't seem to notice. Then picking up both bowls and Magby, moving them to a different spot. Looking back, Slowpoke was no longer there.

It wouldn't, thought Theo.

But it did. As Theo returned to his food the Slowpoke was there, eating his food.

"No! Bad Slowpoke, shoo!" Theo said, waving his arms.

Slowpoke didn't seem to care, but Theo's waving arms distracted it long enough for Theo to take his food back. Theo removed any parts of the food Slowpoke might have put its mouth on, then gave it to the pink Pokemon.

Slowpoke looked at the food, then smiled; eating it all in one big bite.

When everything was done and packed away, Theo recalled his Pokemon and began walking again. Slowpoke was still in the exact same spot he left it. Then he walked on for awhile, until Theo heard a rustle in the grass.

Sure enough, Slowpoke was right there. Theo was unsure how it got there but that wasn't important at the time.

"Um, hi, Slowpoke. Now go back to your friends, or whatever." Theo said, turning around and walking again.

"Slooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww." the Slowpoke said, still there.

Theo was getting annoyed with the pink Pokemon.

"No. Go, now." Theo demanded.

The Slowpoke looked at him awkwardly, showing no signs of wanting to leave.

"Fine then, have it your way." Theo said, taking Eevee's Pokeball out of his belt.

"Eevee, Tackle it." Theo commanded as the fox Pokemon appeared by his side.

Eevee charged it full speed, then slammed into the Slowpoke. After a few seconds it showed signs of the impact. It looked at Eevee with a confused expression.

"Eevee, Takle it again." Theo said.

That Eevee did, but to no avail. This time, when the Slowpoke finally reacted, it seemed a little mad. It slowly got to its feet, and did something Theo never thought it could do, it launched it own Tackle. It hit Eevee with surprising power. Eevee was knocked off its feet, maily being caught by surprise.

"Alright so you want a fight?" Theo asked hypothetically, "Eevee, lower its defense with a Tail Whip."

Eevee turned around and tickled the Slowpoke with its bush tail. The Slowpokes anger turned to laughter.

"Now Eevee, Tackle it."

Eevee actually landed a successful hit, knocking Slowpoke on its back, it struggled getting back to its feet. Then it yawned again. Eevee became drowsy, then fell asleep. Then Slowpoke layed back down and went to sleep itself.

Theo thought for a moment as recalled Eevee. The Slowpoke wasn't half-bad in battle. And it was a Water and Psychic typed. Maybe, just maybe, this pink blob could be useful to him. He reached into his belt and pulled out a Pokeball. Then he threw it at the Slowpoke.

Claudia noticed Nurse Joy examine the Bonsly that the girl had carried into the Pokemon Centre. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with it. Claudia knew some Pokemon could be emotional though, especially babies. She looked down at her Mime Jr., Cookie, glad that he was quietly eating more cookies off the plate. She wondered what she was going to do about her Eevee though. She was scared to even let it out of its pokeball, and she didn't even know what gender it was yet! She decided that she would try Eevee again the next time she was in a battle, preferably a battle against a wild Pokemon. She didn't need to embarrass herself in front of another trainer just yet. Claudia looked back up when she noticed that the Bonsly's loud crying had ceased. Then, she noticed that the girl had begun to walk towards her.

The girl looked almost like a celebrity, she was so tanned and her clothes looked expensive. But Claudia didn't recognize her, so she figured she probably wasn't, though that would have been exciting.

"Wow! Those Cookies look delicious!" the girl said excitedly.

Claudia watched Cookie shove yet another cookie into its mouth. "Mime Jr. loves them. I personally haven't eaten any yet."

"My name is Bonnie, and this is Bonsly," Bonnie said. She let Bonsly out of her arms and it bounced over to Cookie, giving him a gentle push.

"Mime mime!" Cookie said, offering a cookie out to Bonsly.

"I'm Claudia!" Claudia said, thinking she might just make a friend. "This is Mime Jr., but you can call him Cookie." She thought she should say something else to keep the conversation going. "Do you have any Pokemon besides Bonsly? We could battle!"

Bonsly happily accepted the offer. He quickly ate the cookie and bounced up in happiness. "Bon!" He cheered.

"Mime Jr. loves them. I personally haven't eaten any yet." The girl informed Bonnie. Bonnie smiled and said, "Well, I suppose we should both try one." Without hesitation, She grabbed a cookie that way lying on the plate and took a bite. "Mmm, this is delicious!" She exclaimed once she finished the cookie.

Bonnie listen to the girl ramble on about how her name was Claudia and her Mime Jr that she had named Cookie. Soon afterwards, there was an awkward silence and then Claudia spoke up.

"Do you have any Pokemon besides Bonsly? We could battle!" Bonnie smirked, finally a battle. She had missed out on battling any pokemon on Route 1, so this would be a perfect opportunity to train her Pokemon.

"Yeah," She clapped her hands. "I also have an Eevee. She was a prize." Bonnie liked to believe that her Eevee was a prize, even though she obviously wasn't. "Well, if we are gonna battle we should probably get out of the Poke Center and go on the Route or something." Bonnie mention. "So, let's go!" She picked up Bonsly and made her way out of the Poke Center.

((OOC: Maybe I'll stop giving my posts a title xD Just for now, at least.))

As Leo walked out of the Pokémon Center, he was relieved not to see the trainer he had battled just hours ago. He continued walking and realized the sun going down. Again. [Wow. Time flies real fast when you're on a journey.] he thought to himself. Soon, stars were visible in the open sky. Leo thought of just staying in the Center, but then he might bump into that Theo guy. He didn't like that dude. Somehow, after the battle, he longed to beat that person and make his Pokémon suffer. But now that the stars are out, Leo's temper slowly cooled down. He fished his pocket for a certain Pokémon's ball. He then clicked the button in and out came his Eevee, Blitz.

"You're gonna be a strong Flareon someday." he said as he knelt down to talk to his Evolution Pokémon. He missed Blitz's namesake so much that he named his Eevee Blitz. The only friend he has ever had, and it was a Pokémon. This is one of the reasons Leo took a liking to Fire-type Pokémon. (The other reason was because he thinks fire is destructive, which it is) He slowly walked towards the end of Viridian City. On the way, he spotted an old man sleeping. Part of him wanted to make Blitz Tackle him lightly, but most of him just wanted to keep walking. He didn't want to spend too much time in the place where the orphanage where he grew up in was.

((OOC: And now I wait for Nukoe to post the next route...))

((OOC: I'mma take you before that route comes 8D ))

Akura spotted someone walking towards her from Viridian. It was a boy, and beside him walked an Eevee. A bell ringed in Akura's head. That was for sure a trainer from Pallet. Which meant he was her next opponent.

She got up and put on a more stern face than usual, staring the distant trainer down. When he came closer she'd call out her challenge to him. Maybe present herself as well. It was polite to tell the opponent your name before challenging them, wasn't it?

Eve didn't make a move, beside scratching itself behind its ear quickly. It didn't seem interested in the person Akura had found... until it saw that the other trainer also sported an Eevee. Eve's ears sharpened, but she still didn't move from her spot beside the rock. Akura stood still, waiting.

"I also have an Eevee. She was a prize," Bonnie told Claudia. Claudia raised her eyebrows. A prize? The Eevee Claudia was given certainly wasn't a prize, but she didn't say anything. If this girl wanted to believe she was special enough to be given an Eevee as a prize, Claudia was going to let her. "Well, if we are gonna battle we should probably get out of the Poke Center and go on the Route or something," Bonnie mentioned. "So, let's go!" She picked up her Bonsly and made her way out of the Pokemon Centre.

Claudia got up and gestured for Cookie to follow her. He jumped off the seat and Claudia followed Bonnie outside, with Cookie mimicking her every move. When she stepped outside the Centre, she realized just how late it had gotten. The sun was setting, so she figured they should make this a quick battle. Plus, she didn't want it to be a two-on-two battle, since she only had Cookie and her Eevee, and she did not want to battle with Eevee just yet. Even for a practice battle.

She followed Bonnie until they reached a spot away from the Pokemon Centre and away from the busier parts of the city. They didn't need any stray attacks hitting any stander-bys. Claudia called out to Bonnie. "Let's make this a one-on-one! It's getting late and uh, I want a little rest before I head out tomorrow... Mime Jr!" she called, reverting to calling him by his species name when battling, "let's go!" He jumped out in front of her and put his game face on. Claudia couldn't help smirking. For a happy little Pokemon, he sure knew how to be serious when the time called for it.

((OOC: This would give me a chance to roleplay Leo being calm while battling xD Yay!))

As Leo was about to reach the end of the path, his Eevee suddenly turned around. He didn't notice that his Eevee has ran away again because while he was walking, he was staring up at the stars, trying to rid his mind of troubling thoughts. He kept pacing towards the next route while Blitz ran to another Eevee. He only noticed Blitz gone when the Evolution fox cried out to him.

"Ee-vui!" Leo jumped up and turned to where the call was from. He saw Blitz cuddling with another Eevee. If it was daytime, or there simply were no stars in sight, Leo would've beaten Blitz up with his own hands, but fortunately for the fox Pokémon, Leo was in too good of a mood to go and beat Pokémon up. He simply ran towards his Eevee and slowly saw the trainer that stood with the other Eevee. Soon, he was finally standing next to the trainer and realized she was a girl after all. From afar, Leo thought she was a boy. A thin boy to be precise. She didn't look anything like a girl from a distance. Maybe it was because it was dark. She had black hair and a slightly, upturned nose. Leo couldn't see what the color of her eyes were. She carried a gray bag. Other than that, he couldn't make out any more details. Of course, Leo acted as politely as he can, although if you knew him very well, you can tell that Leo isn't really the "polite" type. [Name. It's probably good to start with a name.] he thought to himself.

"Um, hey there. I see Blitz has taken a liking to your Eevee. My name's Leone Storm, but my friends call me Leo," he introduced himself, lying about the part where he said "my friends call me Leo." Leo had no friends, other than that Piper girl, if you even consider them friends. Nonetheless, he held out his hand, hoping that the stranger would shake it and introduce herself, too.

((OOC: RHCP, I'm sorry if you don't like how I described your character. I just based it on your SU, so...))

((OOC: I didn't read Leone's SU properly until now *shot* Whoooa, he blames Aipom for losing and hates weakness and ... and it all makes sense! One of the most interesting dark characters I've met 8D And your perception of Akura is accurate. ))

The other Eevee suddenly spurred from its trainer's side and ran forth to Eve. It was apparently attracted to her. Akura was utterly amused when she saw Eve snort and completely ignore the other creature. Totally predictable. But was Eve really uninterested or was she just acting cold? Nobody could tell, especially not Akura. The other Eevee tried to cuddle up against Eve, and she simply sat there, not stopping it but not responding in any way. Her blank look was creepily alike the one Akura normally wore.

The boy ran closer, coming to a halt just beside Akura. There, be blinked and watched her for a few silent moments. She did the same, as she wasn't sure how to begin talking, even though she had prepared her shout of challenge... now he was standing right next to her and she had been planning to shout from afar. He was... uncomfortably close to her. Akura's personal space was a little on the broad side, since she didn't like boys looking at her in the manner this boy did right now. As if he thought she was weird, looking like a boy.

The boy was taller than her, and his clothes were dark. Black, even. His face wore no special expression, not too interested but certainly not unfriendly, as he held out his hand and said:

"Um, hey there. I see Blitz has taken a liking to your Eevee. My name's Leone Storm, but my friends call me Leo."

Akura didn't have any problems taking the hand and squeezing it slightly without really shaking. That was the way she normally greeted someone new, politely. She usually didn't greet other kids very politely though, as they normally didn't care. But Leo had. Maybe he was the polite type?

"I'm Akura," she said, and wondered if she should challenge him already. "Akura Zino. I'm from Pallet... you're one of professor Oak's trainers too, aren't you?"

She looked down on his Eevee, still trying to get a reaction from Eve, without any success.

"Actually... I was waiting for a Pallet trainer to pass by. I wanted to challenge you." Her eyes grew more stern, and she actually put on a small smile on her lips. "So, what do you say?"

((OOC: Oh, first impressions, such fun things~))

After she had returned the Magby, Tallie had decided that it was time to leave, and with Akura no where in sight, it was apparently time for her to wander on her own. She took Togepi into her awaiting arms and left the Pokemon Center without a word. She figured that somewhere along the line she would bump into another trainer from Pallet, and maybe spend some time with them.

In the meantime, she would train, that seemed to be the right thing to do. She pulled out both Pokeballs belonging respectively to her unnamed Pidgey and Tobi, her Eevee. Tallie tossed the Pokeballs into the air, and out in a flash of red came her little brown fox who immediately sat and scratched it's ear with it's hind leg, and a brown bird who flew to her should and perched there. As Tallie and her trio of Pokemon walked, a rather angry and strong looking Mankey jumped out of a tree, and threatened her. She was rather surprised, and stumbled backwards, eventually landing hard on her behind, and sending her Pidgey flying upwards. It cawed out, dipping into a dive and flying square at the monkey-like Pokemon. Tallie regained her composure, and yelled out an order to her bird Pokemon, "Pidgey, use gust!" She looked around for an exit, fearing her team would not be able to take on such a strong opponent. "Then sand-attack!" Tallie began to run through the trees with Alla in her arms, Tobi behind her, and eventually the Pidgey flying just to her left. Her mind worked thought a plan, but none seemed to work, except to turn and fight.

Of course, just Tallie's luck caused her to trip ungracefully and land in a ball on the ground. Oh, and the Mankey was already back, even madder than before. It pawed at it's eyes that were filled with sand from Pidgey. Tallie looked around, deciding that Eevee was the best choice for this fight. "Alright Tobi," she said, "Use tail whip, then tackle." Tobi did as it was told, moving his tail in an attempt to lower the primates defense, and then sprinting forward. Both were in vain, as the Mankey just tossed the fox to the side. "Tobi!" Tallie yelled, fearing that her friend was hurt. Tobi wouldn't be taken out that easily, and hopped to it's feet, running in for another tackle, which landed squarely into the Mankey's side, sending it flying, but the fox also went flying too. The Mankey got up while Tobi stayed on the ground, and all the angrier.

"Are you ready to fight Alla?" Tallie asked, looking down at her companion, who nodded her head. "Use metronome," she ordered. The Togepi waved it's arms back and forth until it let out an electric attack at the Mankey. The primate faltered a little, but didn't seem too affected by the attack. The Mankey used the attack scratch on the little egg Pokemon, hitting it for a substantial amount of damage.

[If someone else wants to enter in and help, they're more than welcome, if not, I'll just have Tallie finish it.]

((OOC: I actually spent some time in making Leo (and by some time, I mean an hour :p). I made him to get in this other RP. Apparently, I ended up using him in lots of different RPs xD))

"Actually... I was waiting for a Pallet trainer to pass by. I wanted to challenge you." She paused for a little while. "So, what do you say?"

What does Leo say? He had just lost a battle against some guy who had a Magby and an Eevee. He was more than eager to win his first trainer battle. Of course, being the polite guy he was at night, he tried to contain his excitement about the offer of a Pokémon battle. Outside, Leo was just standing there, staring at the girl, who has referred to herself as Akura Zino, with a blank expression on his face, but inside, he was really jumping for joy. Of course it's now obvious what he said in reply to Akura's question.

"You're on." He took a Pokéball from his pocket, and as he was about to press the button on the middle of it to release Peech, he changed his mind and put it back in his pocket. He gazed over at Blitz, who was still cuddling with the other Eevee. Apparently, the other Eevee was paying no attention to Blitz's attempt to make friends with it. Blitz caught his eye and immediately understood what his trainer meant. He walked calmly in front of Leo and faced Akura.

"You may have the first move." Leo said as he motioned his hands towards the girl.

((OOC: I was just wondering: who should win this battle? You decide, please :D))

((OOC: Since I kind of beat Theo and Theo beat you it might be fair if you beat me now ^^ Leo can win :) partly because Akura will use Eve and Eve doesn't really listen to her))

Content, Akura heard Leo's response. Time to get stronger. Leo's Eevee, apparently called Blitz, seemed in tune with its trainer and understood what Leo wanted even before the boy spoke. Akura glanced down at her own Eevee. It was currently licking its paw, not looking at anything special.

"Sure," she said. "Eve, I choose you!"

Eve looked up, tilted her head to the side and then actually walked up to stand before Akura. The trainer was relieved. She obliged!

"Eve, use Tackle!"

But Eve didn't storm forward... instead, its tail began to glow, and Eve swung it threateningly in front of Blitz. "But..." Akura sighed. Eve had used Tail Whip instead. Why? Sure it could be a good thing to lower the enemy's defenses early on, but Akura preferred to try a head on attack first.

((OOC: Also, Nukoe hasn't been online for several days and has yet to update with route 2. Has she left us...?))

((OOC: I dunno, but I was actually in her other RP that kind of died out when she went offline for quite a while. I sure hope this won't happen here. However, if it did, who's gonna take charge?))

Leo heard Akura order her Eevee, apparently named Eve, to use Tackle, but instead, the fox Pokémon used Tail Whip. Its tail glowed as it waved it back and forth towards Blitz. This most certainly worked on him, because he instantly fell attracted to Eve. His defense went down, and Leo got ready for what's gonna happen next...nothing. He was expecting the Eve to go storming off towards Blitz with his guards down. Leo shrugged.

"Um, okay. Blitz, run towards Eve and use Tackle."

Blitz snapped out of his trance and immediately ran at an amazing speed towards the female Eevee. After he got close enough, he started to go at an even greater speed. Leo gazed with amazement as Blitz made a streak of light visible behind him. It made Leo feel even more calmer than he was now, which is a really good thing if he wanted to win this battle. You remember the last battle he had with Theo, right? He got so mad at Peech and Rattata (who is, sadly, not a part of his team anymore) that he lost the battle. This time, on the other hand, there were stars in the night sky, and a wondrous streak of light following Blitz, both of which made him feel calmer. This might just turn out great for Leo.

((OOC: If she really doesn't show up, I'll post my new RP, and those of you who want can get a reserved spot in it. Good enough? But let's be patient for a while longer ^^ *forces self to wait*))

Akura saw the tackle, and was just about to shout out to Eve to evade it... but Eve turned around in the last second and flung herself head first at Blitz. After the horribly smashing impact, Eve seemed to have lost this duel of attacks; she hadn't pushed off as hard as Blitz had, and was now tumbling backwards.

"Eve!" Akura felt a little sting of anger inside. "You should listen to me!"

Eve didn't look at Akura. Apparently it was still thinking it was smarter than her. Now it lounged forward before Akura had given another order, and ran in a tackle towards Blitz to try and take it before it had recollected itself properly from the impact.
