    Also known as the rapture...

NOTE: This is not a Creation vs. Evolution thread, partain to topic please...

For all of you who do believe in God and the Rapture, when do you think it'l happen. People say it'll happen in our generation, of course, people have been saying that for years...

    BOO ya!

I believe that the rapture will happen when the entire world is at war, and we are on the verge of annihilating the earth. While I am scared when I think about it, God says that you should never fear him or what he does, for it is the best. Then again, when people say, if God is real, why is there so much diseases, etc.My answer is, God won't always do things directly. He knows what he does, and how he does it,, no matter what it looks like. These are my beliefs, and I will stand by them.Wow, this is the most I have ever typed in here.

I don't believe it'll happen. The only evidence for it is found in the book of revelations, which was written using a great deal of symbolism for first-century christians. The concept is rather ludicrous when you think about it, anyway. So...no.

...It also says 1 day is like a thousand years...the whole purpose of that passage means that time has got nothing on God...

So for all we know, the rapture'l prolly happen in the next 5 minutes...yep

    *waits anxiously*

I don't think there would be days and nights in heaven.I mean, in the bible it says that in heaven it will always be light, and there will never be darkness.I agree with Dakota and Kayleigh, time has nothing to do with God.He knows, and he will choose the time for the end of the world, and the sinners and non-believers to recieve their judgement.

Why in the world would time matter to God?

Afterall, God is the Alpha. He is also the Omega. Someone who is the beginning and the end is not limited by time at all...

i never read revelations as i'm terribly afraid of it. Not afraid of the prophecy but most of the time people only understands so little of it but pretends that they know everything about the book of revelation. Then they go off to screw off other people's mind with their wrong beliefs regarding christianity and revelation... i would never allow myself to do that...

reading revelation = lots of guidance from other + great knowledge of the bible and its other books + prior knowledge and wisdom from god

The book of rev. is the only book I can think of that has rapture info in it. I can;t think of any other ones but I KNOW there are more...at least I think there are more...hmm

    BOO ya!

I beleive that the Armegedon war will happen with in a year, from thence most if not all of the prohicies will be fulfilled.

I beleive that the Armegedon war will happen with in a year, from thence most if not all of the prohicies will be fulfilled. How long will the war last though. And will the U.S. be the world dictator? I think since there is the concpirecy of the luminaty controlling our government its quite possible.

    Show me some response.

Okay...look, I'm not trying to flame either of you, I'm just trying to get you to think about what you're saying...

Both of these posts seem to carry the assumption that the poster is a 'good christian'; basically, that should the rapture occur, the poster will be brought into heaven immediately.

This is the sort of arrogance that helped me see the faults of organized religion. I was brought up Catholic, and am still going to a Catholic school. How can anyone assume that they are guaranteed a spot in heaven? That kind of "oho, I'm not a sinner! I hope the rapture happens right now so I can go to heaven and watch the majority of the world's population suffer and probably die under the rule of the antichrist! yay!" attitude just makes me sick. =/

Ok, you know what I think, I think that you are guranteed a spot in heaven if you beleive in God and are saved by his grace, along with knowing that God sent Jesus to die on the cross to take away this sin of the world.

Not to pick on you but, you said you hope the rapture happens soon so you can watch all the non beleivers suffer... hmm...well you should think of this you must lead a poor life of not knowing compleatly what God wants us to do hear on Earth.

Even though there are those that do not believe or refuse to believe God dose not want them to suffer and neither should you.

Anyway, there are prophicies not written in the book of Rev. However, I am not 100% sure that the Rapture will happen in our life time, but it all makes sense now.

~When the Euphraties dries up...Thats possible thanks to all the dams in that area.

~When Babalon falls(Iraq today is Babalon and Sadam has fallen)

~To major people will die in Israiel for the whole world to see, hmm...yep that is also possible.

Their will be Armegedon and we as Christians have to not worry about it. We are in "God's Army" with enough faith you can save yourself through him. "As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I should fear no evil for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort me..." If you are acting in the war of Armegedon and die you should know that you are going to heaven if you believe. If you surrvive the war and then the rapture happens then you will go to heaven if you believe and when "God comes like a theif in the night" you should know you will go to heaven with no dought.

Forget all the mysteries of life, like UFO's and whats beyond space, God has an answer. Forget about the "unanswerable questions is lifes rugged and crooked path" for all will be well when the rapture happens.

Unless I don't know what the rapture is, it can't happen in the next 5 minutes Dakota. ;) The Anti-Christ will control the whole world at a certain point. The Roman empire will be reborn as the European Union. There will be a 7 year war. The Anti-Christ will sign a non-aggression pact with Isreal (I don't know why this is important though), but they will later break it and invade Isreal. Under the Anti-Christ's power everyone will have to wear his symbol, 666, in order to buy and sell. If you wear it, you'll lose eternal salvation. It'll be a very tough time for Christians. I think this has to happen before the rapture occurs.

Nick...I mean, CHaskis, took the words outa my mouth

    BOO ya!

22sa hmm...where in the Bible did you find all that info?
Like I said we are in God's Army and if everyone had to wear the Anti-Chrits's stupid number than I would not wear it even if it meant life and death.

When the Anit-Christ comes will you be ready? I know I will and being a Christian I will stay strong in my faith and prevail over the Anti-Christ, because he holds no power over me.

Its quite possible that the Anti-Chirst would go in search for Christians and try and trick them into thinking he is Chirst, which he is NOT. Will you be ready?

Today Isreal is one of the countries in the most trouble, read the paper every day and you will realize that its very very close and that a peace treaty could come and will be broken by a dictating country (i.e. Syria or some other near by country)

A wall is being formed to block Israelies from entering "Palistine" and that is causing lots of trouble. A peace treaty could be made, and soon maybe.

Read the Newspaper and watch the news it all makes sense. Prevail over the Anti-Christ when or if he comes in our life time.

Me? I don't even believe in the rapture. I'm trying to speak from a theological perspective...I don't believe in it, but I know the mechanics. Try to read my posts more carefully.

I don't want people to suffer, but supposedly under the rule of the anti-christ there will be a great deal of fighting and conflict, apocalyptic rains of fire and such. Anyone who *wants* the rapture to happen soon is being distressingly selfish and arrogant.

Can anyone claim to know exactly what your god wants you to do? More arrogance...

If the god of the israelites does not want people to suffer, why do they? Why will millions die in the apocalypse? And if you're going to answer something to the effect of "God moves in mysterious ways", or an excuse based on free will, save it.

I think all that God wants you to do is be a good Christian, and not sin, and live a hapy life. What do you mean save it that God does things his own way?

In the book of Rev, prophacies have been fulfilled. The Bible has never been proven wrong either...so tell me this, what exactly do you beleive?

God is merciful, and all this has to happen. Israelites die in suicide bombings day after day, so your question is why do they suffer...well they can't control what other people do to them. This world is filled with sin, greed, and violence, so if a Israelie dies in a suicide bombing or what not, if he beleives in God and knows that he is saved by his grace then he will go to heaven where there is no sin, greed, or violence, he will have eternal life and joy.

So why do they suffer? They don't. They can't control what happens to them...It has to happen so the prophicies can be fulfilled. Since the Bible hasn't been proven wrong and alot of the prophacies have been fulfilled they others will happen.

Prove the Bible wrong then come complain to me ok?
