    [PokeCommunity.com] The Sevii Islands!

In the remakes FireRed and LeafGreen, 7 new islands were added to explore. Some of the things you can do on these islands is encounter Pokemon from other regions, catch the legendary Pokemon Moltres, encounter Team Rocket again, etc.

What did you think of the inclusion of the Sevii Islands? Did you enjoy them? Hate them?

Loved it, the story is very nice and the inclusion of more Pokémon is always good. Definitely makes me value the remakes over the original.

I really like the Sevii Islands, it had some really cool areas to explore and the introduction of new Pokemon was nice. I really like the tropical environment on the islands and they are a big part of why I enjoy FR so much, even if you do have to catch 60 Pokemon before you can visit them >.>

I don't really like Kanto much and the Sevii Islands design is much more interesting and unique as far as game regions go imo. They're a lotttt better and they have tons of cool nooks and crannies to find as opposed to the comparatively streamlined layout of the game's main region. Because it's optional postgame, they apparently didn't feel the need to make everything super obvious and I love that.

Several times I've played through the entire game just to get to the Sevii Islands bit and enjoy that, haha.

It wasn't as quite memorable for me, but it was interesting to see what the islands held. I kinda wish there was a more indepth sub-plot then just, the Team Rocket's warehouse and the thing with Hypno... maybe more plot with Mewtwo/Mew, and more opportunities to obtain more Johto pokemon? Still, it wasn't bad. It had a plot of potential that it just wasn't used well, imo.

Maybe down the road we'll be able to travel to them again? But I guess we'll see~

Definitely enjoyed it - although last time I got that far in the game (I tend to pick it up every January for some reason, and it usually gets abandoned further into the semester as the premier league hots up and I get more into Football Manager) I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get Bill to take me back to Kanto.

Like Rainbow said, the lack of obviousness was also refreshing. At least in part due to limited internet resources when I was younger, it probably wasn't until around 2011 that I first found the Togepi egg
