Up until I was in the 8th grade, apparently I was saying pink incorrectly. I didn't know this until someone moved from Florida to my hometown across the street from me, who quickly became my best friend I ever had offline (but unfortunately moved back to Florida since then due to his step-dad getting a better position in his company that made it an essential to relocate).

We were in his mom's car, and we were (I think) driving to get Wendy's. I was saying something about something that I can't remember, and then his mom started laughing. I was like "...What are you laughing at? :[" and she was all "Paaank". I was like "What's a pank?" and then she explained that that's how I said pink. It wasn't very strong, it was just a slight accent, I guess,... I dunno. To them I had a strong northern accent since they were from the south and all.

But yeah.. I probably didn't need to explain it in such detail, but it's a cool memory. She spent the next ten or so minutes teaching me how to say pink properly. Now I just try to avoid saying the word completely. If someone ever meets me from here, remember to ask me to say pink. Bet you I'll butcher it and it'll give you a good laugh (hopefully). XD
