i thought the Mew trick worked differently than talking to the old man. I thought you use fly when in range of a trainer, battle some youngster in the cape, fly to Lavender, then fight the level 7 mew.

Well, it was something like that, TDT. Can't Remember Exactly.

However, I do remember this....

on Gold(or was it Silver?), I flew to the Goldenrod City Pokemon Center, and walked north. Then I ran into the G/S/C Missingno. Scared, I ran. Then I realized I had actually found the G/S/C Missingno! But it was too late, I already ran.

And before anyone Asks, I don't remember what I was doing on the game before I ran into it. It was Purple, looked kinda like TV Static, and had a bunch of itty bitty signs with numbers on them on it.
