A majourity of banned members (not including the n00b spammers) were banned for the reason that they got fed up with PC and did all they can to restrict themselves from ever coming back...by force..aka being banned. So a ban can also be treated as a restraining order upon your decision on whether you want to leave PC for good or just leave and be tempted to come back.
