The small features you didn't know about

What are some in game features you didn't know about until later in your Pokemon gaming life? I, for example, didn't know that you can display your HP in a double battle (in the gen IV games, at least) by pressing start until this week. It's crazy that I never knew about this because it's very useful...

In Oras I did not know until 2 years after beating the game that you could have 2 bikes at the same time post game. I thought you had to just go back and forth to Mauville whenever you wanted to change between the Arco and Mach bike.

Recently, I didn't know Marks were a thing in Sword and Shield until Isle of Armor.
I also didn't know you could catch wild pokemon while camping if they came up to you.

As for other stuff, not really something I didn't know existed, but I didn't know the difference between Att and Spec Attack and Def and Spec Def until late in Kalos Games where it just sorta clicked. I knew they were there, just didn't understand them. (It may have been ORAS when it clicked)

Everything else, I pretty much knew about unless I am missing stuff that I've never done and still haven't done because I look at leaks and what not.

I just recently realised that you could use the X button to switch displays on the stats section of the summary. Also that the inner hexagon of the two represents EVs and that it goes white when all EVs are used up, and little twinkly stars appear next to a stat with maxed EVs. Handy for training.
