For those unaware, multiple high profile members of the competitive Smash Bros community have been outed as sexual predators, and in some cases, pedophiles. It crushes me that these people would use their platforms to mistreat these people. What do you think should change specifically at tournaments to prevent this from happening again? I'd say for starters, not letting minors room with adults for the bigger tournaments that last a few days. Maybe kids also need to be with a parent or guardian? Seems obvious now but we really didn't think all this was necessary...

I will always believe that it is necessary for a minor, regardless of similar public circumstance, to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. In my personal opinion, there will never be a reason where a child needs to room with a random adult without supervision.

Yes, kids should be with a parent or trusted adult. However, we shouldn't blame the kids either. If you take advantage of children you're absolutely disgusting and less than human.
