I love music, good music is almost as important to me in video games as actual features are. As I got older I started to appreciate how fantastically composed Pokemon music was in every game, and now it's one of the main things I look out for when playing Pokemon games. I payed close attention to the music in the trailers, and even replayed some of them many times just to hear the music!
With the release of the demo, that means even more opportunity to listen to the music and sounds of Sun and Moon, I'm wondering what are all of your opinions on the soundtrack of Sun and Moon so far? What are your favorite themes? I think we're in for a fantastic generation of Pokemon music this time around, I really like how out there some of the themes seem to be, like Ten Carat Hill and the route with the many boulders, with the upgrade in technology Junichi and pals no longer have to rely on simple and repetitive songs and can really go all out with their music, and other songs seem to retain the old Pokemon sound. I'm also SO glad that they brought back night themes like from Diamond and Pearl at least somewhat, as seen in Hau'oli City. This is an amazing feature and keeps the music fresh and varied between versions. The Wild Battle and Trainer battle themes are pretty good, although I did get a bit sick of them, but I like how they retain a lot of sounds and parts from older themes.
My favourite tracks would have to be Ten Carat Hill (seriously, everything about it is perfect. From the psychedelic sounds to the crazy random jazz like drumming), as well as Gladion's theme (serious old school vibes here) and Team Skull's encounter theme. What are yours?
