    In this Challenge, you will use a specific pair of Pokemon that have certain similar qualities

    Rules
    1. You MUST use a pair that is listed in this post.
    2. You can propose a pair to add to this list, but, you must be signed up to take the challenge, and please tell me why you think this pair should be added. Also, with any fifth gen pokemon, please post pictures, because I am still not familiar with these.
    3. You can also PM or VM me with Pair Suggestions if you aren't taking the challenge.
    4. No Legendaries
    5. Use the following form to sign up.

    Some suggestions for new pairs:

    • Beautifly and Dustox - both evolve from Wurmple
    • Huntail and Gorebyss - both evolve from Clamperl
    • All fossil Pokemon as well - use any 2 fossil Pokemon (would Aerodactyl count?)
    • Scizor and Steelix - Metal Coat trades
    • Politoed and Sloking - King's Rock
    • Bellosom and Vileplume - both evolve from Gloom
    • Magmortar and Electivire (and pre-evos) - both require "-rizer" items to evolve
    • Weavile and Gliscor (and pre-evos) - both require Razor items to evolve
    • Glalie and Froslass - both evolve from Snorunt
    • Any two of Tyrogue's evolutions
    • Kingdra, Salamence, or Dragonite - all are species of Dragon Pokemon
    • Gyarados and Absol - both associated with disasters
    • Starmie, Staraptor, or Omastar - Star in name
    • Flygon and Xatu - both have species of Mystic Pokemon

    Put OK in Bold next to ones I agree with.
     
    I will be doing this with Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, since jdthebud's idea for that was approved. I haven't decided which game I will do this on, though. Really great idea for a challenge! I'll probably end up doing most of them at one point. :)

    What, the fossil ones don't make the cut? >.<
    and whats wrong with the metal coat/king's rock evos?

    I will probably do this with either Gyarados/Absol or Omastar/Cradily, prolly on FR or LG.
    may take a while since i have other challenges going on.

    Hey guys, I know he wants suggestions, but maybe we could leave the suggestions to those taking the challenge? I don't want the thread getting cluttered with suggestions rather than sign ups and updates. ;(
     
    allright, i think plusle and Minun should be up there for obvious reasons

    i go with gyarados and absol for sapphire
     
    Actually, I'm gonna withdraw. As I found out how to put these pokemon where I could actually like, catch them, I discovered hacking, and now I'm making my own rom. Cheers!!

    Lol, you just discovered hacking = make your own ROM? What a leap. Have fun, though, and there are multiple threads here on PC for that too, if you want advice/feedback!
     
    Yeah... that stuff WAY over my head, as it turns out D: I'm going to sign back up into this, please....

    Cradily and Anorith on Sapphire, because I ruined my Ruby ROM when I tried to change it Dx

    I probably won't start this until I finish my Dual Type Challenge anyways. I hate having two challenges running :P
     
    Okay, First update. A small one.... but at least it's something!
    -Hacked the Rom to make Wild Zangoose appear at level 2 and 3
    -Went through all the beggining stuff
    -Beat May
    -Got a Pokedex and Pokeballs
    -Caught Zangoose
    -Trained it to Level 7
    -End

    Scratch
    Leer
    Quick Attack
     
    I use Politoed and Slowking in Crystal. I'm going to cheat for Poliwag and catch Slowpoke at Slowpoke Well.

    Is cheating allowed? Just so i could get scizor and steelix. If not, i'll have to pick something else...

    I think I might choose Leaf Green or Fire Red. Still trying to decide. xD

    By the way, what about Beedrill and Butterfree?
     
    Weavile, Beautifly and Dustox were already on there. Also, I personally think Vespiquen(spelling?) and Mothim.
