The Special Pairs Challenge

i love the idea of this, and i'm interested in challenging (after i finish my montype one)
but can i make some suggestions?

there's probably alot more, but these are the ones that caught my eye as pairs, i think you get my reasoning

I'm not sure Alakazam and Gengar exactly work, but the rest I think have a solid case to be included.

On my challenge, I have made it through Nugget bridge and am grinding Kraken to L20 so she can evolve into Gyarados for the battle against Misty. I am taking it a bit slow as I have other challenges going on.

I don't understand how Gyarados and Absol "both being associated with disasters" is enough for them to be considered a true pair. Certainly Alakazam + Gengar have a more tangible reason for being considered a pair - they were the two Special-based trade evolutions in the original games. Likewise Golem and Machamp should be considered a pair, as they are the physical counterparts.

Also there are the version exclusives - do any of the following count?

- Beat Nugget Bridge, saved Bill.
- Beat Misty with Bite OHKOs.
- Went to Vermilion City, Kraken evolved into Gyarados.
- Beat the SS Anne, taught Cut to Ch'Ding.
- Beat Surge:

Water Pulse helped a lot, and only one Shock Wave, used by Raichu. Water Pulse + Dragon Rage took him down.

- Taught Shock Wave and Aerial Ace to Torcane.
- I am on my way to Rock Tunnel.

Final Update:

Finished challenge.

Kraken swept Lorelei, Bruno, and Agatha without too much trouble. Torcane led against Lance and Bua, but couldn't weather the storm (pun lol), so Kraken had to finish off the last couple Pokemon in each battle.

Hey guiys, going to abandon the Magmortar/Electivire run (couldn't get the hack to work properly), but I want to do one on the Platinum version I just bought! What I want to do is a Roserade-Togekiss run, since both evolve via the use of a Shiny Stone. I may just catch a Budew in the wild and use Cynthia's egg, but i am going to have a look at the egg moves each of them get first. Anyway, could you please just let me know if this is okay?

-Went into Granite cave to do some grinding
-Grinded Zangoose up to level 18
-Easily beat Brawly after 2 Swords Dances, though the machop was almost a threat thanks to bulk up.
-Delivered the Letter to Steven
-Start's realizing that Hoenn is Harsh on Normal types (thinks about Wattson.... *shudders*)
