Kaki's breathing was very uneasy, her legs were not holding her steady. Finally, her knees gave up and she fell onto her knees on the cold, hard, uncomforting ground. She bit at her lip to try and hold back the tears, but it was useless. She was broken. Her life, love, and passion had disappeared into thin air.
The PokeNav in her pocket began ringing, causing her to slowly reach in and answer it, flipping back the top to see a new, young, bright haired Professor she had met on her journey, Professor Cherry.
"Kaki?" She said quietly, looking at the shattered girl before her. "They're all gone, arn't they?" Professor Cherry suddenly asked. Kaki took in a gasp of air, trying to steady her breathing. She failed. "Y - yes," She said unwillingly. "Kaki, d - don't worry... You're not the only one..." Professor Cherry told her through her own tears. "After that huge star in the sky burst, all of the Pokemon vanished. All across the world... No more Pokemon."
Those words hit Kaki like she was under a Rock Slide. "No more Pokemon?" She asked weakly. "No, deary..." The Professor told her quietly. "I'M BROKEN WITHOUT MY POKEMON!" Kaki shouted, not caring about waking others up, or waking any Pokemon up. "I know, dear, I know," "NO, YOU DON'T... I... I need my Pokemon.... I am nothing without them..." Kaki said in what started out as a strong voice, but ended in a very weak and feeble murmur.
"I'm sorry, Kaki... There are no more Pokemon... They've all vanished." "Well, trillions of Pokemon, big and small, cannot vanish from the world in one instant! That's impossible!!! They can't all fit in one place!" "I KNOW, KAKI! No one knows what happened to them!" The Professor yelled at Kaki, that desprite girl wiht nothing to care for anymore.
"The only place they could all fit would be in space!" Kaki shouted. "No Pokemon could survive in space for forever." Professor Cherry reminded her. "Deoxys can." "That Pokemon is only myth, dearest!" "Rayquaza!" "Only an atmosphere Pokemon, not space."
Kaki took in a long breath before saying, finally, "Thanks for destorying any ounce of hope I had left in regaining my beloved Pokemon." and with that, she closed the phone.
