5th Gen The Strange House

To be honest, I was so creeped out by the house that I looked up a guide so I wouldn't have to stay in the house any longer. I've played Horror games before, but that ghost in the strange house freaked me out... Once I got the lunar wing, I was OUTTA there!

I don't see any connections. I think they just slapped a bunch of random legendaries in these games.

I wish they would have done more with the haunted house. =/

Man, I remember wandering around reversal mountain on my japanese version of B2, only to find a house. I first thought: "Nice house. Seems separated. What's inside it must be interesting."
I was right. I recieved the Lunar wing, even though I never used it.
On W2 (English) I used it, though.

I think Cresselia was put in B2/W2 to explain the ghost girl's past even further.

Anyway, I already cleared the Strange House; it was kind of creepy to see the ghost girl appear in random spots.

Im suprised there havent been many Strange House Creepypasta yet.

The experiences I had at this strange house was annoyance. I say this because I got so frustrated whenever I would see an item in eye view and I couldn't get it because there was a piece of furniture in the way. The house became gloomy probably because a girl died in the house or was murdered and people (such as myself) would probably never want to buy a house when someone was killed due to bad luck and other factors and because of this it became gloomy. I actually like the Strange House more because it has Banette's walking about; and also because the rooms look more haunted then they did in the Old Chateau.

that girl wasnt a ghost. she was a regular girl. if you pay attention to the stories behind her that were told in both b/w and b2/w2, you'd know this. here's what happened:

Twenty years ago, there was a girl who befriended an abra. she had formed such a strong bond with this pokemon that their souls had become linked. however, one day the abra became very ill, and eventually it took a turn for the worse. the girl stayed by its side though. when the abra's sickness got too serious, it had passed on. however, the girl did not die. instead, she was teleported to the dream world. for many years, the girl tried and tried to get back home, never aging or anything. then, one day she encountered a cressellia in the dream world, one who gave her the lunar wing. this wing had enabled her to go between the worlds, briefly appearing in the real world before teleporting back to the dream realm. this was not enough for the girl, so one day she teleported to her old home where she grew up (the strange house), and saw a traveler (the trainer you play as). she gave him/her the wing, and told the trainer to return it to cressellia. the girl lives to this day in the dream world, enjoying an eternal dream come true.

Huh.I never really thought of that and maybe the parents thought it was because of Darkrai hence all the books but it was actually because of what you said above. But i don't think it really explains all the Ghost-type pokemon and the moving furniture though.

The ghost types are there because they normally find homes in abandoned buildings, and the furniture moves because the ghost types like scaring people, so they probably hide under the chairs and stuff to make it rattle.

My theory is that the girl is either a nightmare/illusion created by Darkrai or a girl killed there, once again by Darkrai. Notice how the girl disappears when you pick up the Lunar wing? The Lunar Wing's power dispels the nightmares, so that the girl vanishes.
I've never found the haunted houses in the games scary- except for this one which unnerved me a little. It's something to do with the silence interspersed with many faint sounds, and the morbid atmosphere. Mysteriously shifting furniture is cliche'd, but surprisingly effective given the sudden change when entering a room.
Quite a bit better than the Old Chateau- 'haunted Gothic mansion' is far too overdone. This has so many loose ends in its story that it provokes thought on it- and lots of ragequitting when I find myself stuck, reset for the Xth time and find that the path is on the other side of the house, which meant a LOT of time (15 minutes) wasted...
All in all, a very good locale, mysterious without seeming too out of place/ arbitrary.

It was a bit of a disappointment for me because I have Black 2 and therefore can't get the Lunar Wing, but I loved how the things moved around. There's still one spot that I can't get to where there's an item...whatevs.

But you can get the lunar wing?
Squirtle liked it (especially getting to catch banette!!) and can't wait for some creepypastas!!
