The Summer Ball

Saphira began to stir. She had just had the worst expirence of her life, and the guy who had attacked her was a a few feet in front of her. She slid away from him not having enough energy to even stand.

I couldn't believe what was happening. Since Ryan and I got back this was all I could figure: Someone was unconcious, because some weirdo had done something, and some guy was freaking out and some kid just blasted the creepy dude. Whoa, talk about a wake-up call. Hobey-ho!

I tugged on Ryan's arm. "We gotta do something!"

OOC: I've been reading my Pendragon: Never War book. Don't be surprised if weird words show up in my writing, like hobey-ho and nattie-do. And snigger! (gotta love those sniggers! They taste horrible at first but they are delicious!)

I simply accepted the hit, watching the energy beam blast through my gut. Nothing horrible, my father had given me worse during training. The wound cauterized and healed quite quickly as I cracked my neck and began descending the stair with slow, deliberate steps.

<OOC>And I'd say you're ridiculously screwed. You've managed to piss my chara off. He's not pleasent when pissed off. And by the by, the movie Van Helsing is awful. Go read Dracula, that's a much better version of him.<OOC.

With a kind smile, I bowed to the two new guests, then activated a dweomer buried deep in one of the medals decorating my chest. Two flamig swords apeared in my hands. In the end, it was just a diversion. Tapping back into my natural powers, I melded into the shadows and reappeared on the roof of the building.

"Where the **** did that mother ****er go?" I screamed as he dissapeared. I then beacame so upset tears started to fall down my cheeks. I stopped them immitiately, and then ran over to saphira who was beging to get up, "Are you alright?" I asked her.

"I'm fine." Saphira said sternly, pulling away from him. At that very moment her eyes changed, the blue becoming a darker shade and her pupils looked somewhat like a cats. Luckly, few noticed.

"Who knows where?" Saphira said, walking past the Dragon girl. I'll bet I do... She thought, rubbing her neck, unaware of the two small holes there.

I growled, a little dragon like, and flew back down to the floor.

"Guess he got scared," I said. "But who wouldn't be? He probably knew I could finish him off," I snapped my fingers, "just like that." Then I noticed I'd lit a fire on my thumb a wiped my hand over it to put it out.

Saphira walked to the table where Jared and her went after they had danced, ignoring all the stares she got. She sat down, crossing her arms and legs.

I stared up at the stars ans siged, picking out constellations. There, Draco, the Dragon. Orion, of couse. Ursas Major and Minor. And over there, tucked far off, seemingly in the corner of the sky, Gemini, the Twins. My own sign, and that of my brother. What I'd done to him was the worst, worse than anything else I'd ever witnessed or done since. He was why I was who I was, why I couldn't seem to resist the allure of the hunt. I sighed again and stared out across the ocean.

Saphira grew very bored after awhile, and walked outside to the beach. She walked along the waves, watching the silvery fish dart around. With a sigh, she sat down, drawing her knees up to her chest.

I saw the girl down at the beach. Not that it really mattered, just a somewhat intresting fact to note. Besides, she'd probably be none too happy to see me. returning my gaze to the sky, I moved from a seated position to a laying one, arms tucked behind my head.
