The edge of my lip pulled back, revealing my canines and molars. It was all I could do not to snarl as well. I regained my composure, though, and said placatingly "I suppose that she would have preferred o tell me herself, if at all."

"I ain't tellin' you nothin', lycan," Kiari munched on another cracker.

"Ki, his name is Alberon. Don't be so rude," Genevieve smiled slightly, before snarling at her sister. ~Don't be so rude!!~

I really did snarl this time, albeit, quietly. Kiari really was beginning to grate on my nerves, no matter how much I tried to calm myself. That was dangerous, the packs tended to sense when I was experiencing heightened negative feelings and come running to my aid. Not good. Particularly Morning Mist, she was particularly nasty when she judged me in trouble. Even now, I could feel them lurking on the edges of my senses, drawing closer. "Please," I asked ingratiatingly, "do stop this, it's not good for anyone."

"Ooh, amd I touching on the lil' wolf boy's last nerve?" Kiari giggled. Her eyes flashed happily, as she crossed her arms and popped anotehr cracker into her mouth. ~No way, Gen, this is too much fun!~

Genevieve closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to telekinetically send Kiari some calming images, calming thoughts, but she could see it wasn't working as well as she hoped...

Trying to lighten the mood a bit, I said with a hopefully convincing grin "Not quite my last nerve, but you're getting there."

Kiari closed one eye, and blocked Gen out. She stood and stepped over to the bar, with a smile. "You want anything to drink? Either one of you?"

Gen nodded slightly. "Just a glass of red wine, please..."

"Tea for me" I replied, a bit surprised at this gesture, but thankful nonetheless. This should help my nerves.

Kiari snorts with laughter as she walks back, with only two crystal glassed, and a bottle of wine. "Get it yourself, wolf boy."

Genevieve takes the glass and fills it with wine, before glaring at Kiari.

I managed a small smile, got up and got some tea for myself before returning to the couch and takig a seat beside Gene.

~Terribly sorry about Kiari, Alberon...~

Genevieve narrows her eyes at Kiari, before looking at the ground.

~She hasn't been around many lycans... She only acts upon what the Elders of our village taught her...~

I'd imagine so, judging by her actions I sent back, anger tinging my thoughts. As much as I tried to remain open-minded about this sprig of a girl, she just managed to rub me in all the wrong ways.

Genevieve sighs, before falling over to the side, her head resting against Alberon's shoulder.

Not liking what she sees, Kiari grabs Gen by the ear and drags her off the couch, before heaving the, full, bottle of wine at Alberon's head. Gen snarls and pulls away from Ki, quickly.

((EDIT: My four-hundreth post! ^^))

I caught the bottle deftly. That was it, she'd finally broken my patience. With a low-throated growl, I began squeezing the bottle, quickly shattering it. Wine splattered over my forearm, soaking my clothing. I stood, unfolding my body to its full height. Still growling, I began to stalk towards Kiari, m left hand unconciously stroking the hilt of my scimitar. The wolves were firmly entrenched in my mind now, I was a part of their pack in fell. "Bad move, girl" I half-said, half-snarled to Kiari.

"Oh, what're you to do about it, wolf boy?" Kiari backed up slowly, after leaving Gene at the couch, who narrowed her eyes at Ki.

"Decapitate you" I replied, almost wthout hesitation. After a moment's thought, I added "Or rip your filthy throat out, I haven't quite decided which." In the back of my mind I heard a We come brother as a wolf howled in the distance.

Gen's breath quickened, slightly.

"She may be unbearable, but must you kill her? She's still my sister.." Grn's lip quivered slightly, but Ki did deserve it...

Kiari snorts. "Ha! Decapitate me if you can, you filthy wolf!"

In answer, I whipped my scimitar. Not the best blade in the world, but servicable. The flip side of being overly patient was that when angered, I was far from easy to calm down. I paid no attention to Gene's comment, instead glaring at Ki, my eyes locking onto hers. when the distance was good enough, I whirld my blade into a backhand grip, soming around with a slash to the impudent's throat. In my ratge, I failed to notice the usual sighns that I was beginning to change, my hair turning into a more silver shade, the fur beginning to grow, the heightened senses.

"Alberon..." Gene pleaded quietly. "Please..."

"Shut up, Genevieve, let the wolf boy attack," Ki stated, her confidence in herself over flowing.

"Pleas what" I snapped, not really asking. My voice grew deeper, more gutteral as I continued "Listen to her insult my? My kind? I think not." The howling drew closer and I finally began to notice my transformation as my fingers shortened. I dropped my blade and fell to all fours, a full wolf in form, just bigger, and a thinking creature. I howled in return and charged at Ki, jaws open and snapping.

Genevieve's eyes widened when she saw this. So did Ki's.

Kiari held up her hands and formed a telekinetic sheild, easily pushing Alberon away, but panting slightly, from the effort.
