Pulling myself together a bit, I smiled slightly and whisperd "Thanks. I needed to do that."

"But.. what exactly was.. 'that'?" She asked, still thouroughly confused. Though Genevieve wondered this, she also wondered other things... Many other things... Though this was not possible, how... how could she be sitting there, so close to... to a Lycanthrope? She, Gevenevieve DeBauve, showing emotion for a... Lycanthrope, in a public facility? And, how could this man, a Lycanthrope, ever, ever, show emotion for one as herself, a Vampire?

"It's just..." I hesitated over this, a bit unsure. I'd always kept this inside me. It was my own problem, no one else's. Like they'd let me get close enough to tell them anyway. Telling this to a vampire, though...Was that foolish? If I was to trust her at all, on the other hand... Clearing my throat with a small cough, I finished "It's just that I've never had someone I could be close to, talk to, any of that. I couldnever confide how I felt to someone, indeed, I've never had anyone aside from my grandfathe ever even accept me."

"...Never?" Again, Genevieve was surprised. It appears that this particular male is full of surprises... 'Quite unfortunate... But how could one such as himself be rejected... by so many...' she furrowed her brow slightly, as she thoughts over that, and awaited his answer.

"Nevr" I replied surely, taking Genivieve gently by the shoulders and continuing "I moved away too early to remember anything of my hometown and around towns, people see who I am and grap a torch. Even the monks at the Spirit Soaring are more that leery of me. I can come in, but it's far from a place to live. That's why I live in isolation, that's why I'm so happy I found you..."

"Everyone's welcome in this tavern. It's soul purpose is to house those who don't know where to go, or like to be around friends... Though people have stopped coming..." Genevieve smiles, through her slight sadness. She pauses for a few moments, slightly at loss for words...

"Thank you."

I replied gently "No, thank you." Glancing briefly over at the fire, I saw the oak logs were nearly burned out. Only embers remained of the once-roaring blaze that heated the entire floor. Dawn would come in a few hours probably, and I'd retire to my room then. But for now, I could sit and watch the fire burn itself out.

"Le vent ne me soufflerait pas ? la maison," she begins softly. "Coucher dans votre coeur de coeurs."

Genevieve leans her head against his shoulder as she sings, quietly so only Alberon could hear it.

"Je fera jamais vous voit encore. Et le mensonge dans votre coeur de coeurs."

((Translates to English from French as:
The wind wouldn't blow me home
To lie in your heart of hearts
Will I ever see you again
And lie in your heart of hearts.
I love that song.))

I smiled and listened to he sing as I slipped my arm quietly around he shoulder and softly quoted:
"And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!"

<OOC>So I have a thing fro Byron.<OOC>

Genevieve sticks her tongue out. "Yours is better." She giggles, slightly, enjoying his touch. She winced inwardly, slightly, at the thought of what they would say, if they happened to see her now. They would be repulsed, they would leave her... Gene tried to shove the thoughts away, but they lingered...

I chuckled in return, scooting down on the couch a bit and resting my head gently on Gene's head. I could feel some tension now in her shoulders and whispered "What is it?"

"Nothing, nothing..." Tension was obvious in her voice, but it was still masked behind her smile. Genevieve sighed, cursing her over-imaginative mind, yet knowing it was true.

"it's not nothing, is it" I replied, concern laced through my voice. "Relax" I whispered, adding "I'm here if you need me. Always, until the day I die."

Genevieve was... surprised. She had never heard that from a male before, especially directed towards herself. She had heard something almost like it.. but it was a lie. But Alberon... He wasn't lying. She could just.. tell.

"I..believe you," She whispered. "I truly believe you..."

"Good" I replied, the corner of my lip upturned gently. Holding her a bit tighter, I added "And even if I don't know what it is that you fear, I'll be fighting it with you."

"Thank you." Gene closed her eyes and buried her face into his shoulder, smiling. Her thoughts still haunted her, but knowing he was there, just there for her, made the slight anguish dissapear.

"You're welcome," I replied gently, for now, content to simply sit in silence.

(Time for trouble :p)

"Genevieve?!" Kiari burst into the Tavern, hoping to find her 'sister'. She had fallen flat on her face as she tripped over a chair, but quickly recovered. She stood just over five feet tall, and had dark red hair, and green eyes. Her pale features were hidden under her heavy cloak, which she put into place to protect herself from the unknown level of light in the Tavern, concidering it was pitch black out in the night, with no moon.

"Gene, I know you're here!" Kiari was unable to see Genevieve and Alberon, with the positioning of the couch compared to the front door.
~
Genevieve's eyes shot open as she heard the younger girl's voice. She sat up suddenly, and fell to the floor, landing on her bum. Shooting to a standing position, she looked around the Tavern, her eyes wide with surprise, an eager glint in her eyes as she scanned the room for her clumsy sharer of blood.

Without her hood, Genevieve was able to see clearer, though she knew it was only temporary. She flung herself over the back of the couch, almost silently, and tackled Kiari, hugging her tightly, almost as if Kiari was what was holding her to this earth. "Oh my G-d, Kiari!" She hissed as she nearly huggled the life from the smaller vampire.

(Ah, what fun ^^)

"A relation" I asked, cocking my head to the side in a very canine manner, watching the scene unfold.

Genevieve giggles and hopped to her feet, pulling Kiari up with her. She removed the other girl's hood, and, grinning stupidly, introduces her.

"This is Kiari, my..'sister'." She led the smaller girl over to the couch, where Alberon was. "Kiari, this is Alberon."

~

Kiari reaches for her hood as it is ripped off, but is stopped by Genevieve. Apparently the lighting was alright in here. She waves a tad, in greeting, before leap-frogging over the couch and shoving a few crackers into her mouth.

"It's been ages since I've eaten!"
