I tumbled over a couple times, but quickly regained my feet. I noticed the effort that shield had taken. A third howl sounded closer still. I returned it, tossing my hed back before I charged again, this time leaping before I reached Ki, going straight for the throat.

Ki smirked, before clapping her hands, and disappearing, only to reappear, panting heavier now, in the shadows of the rafters. She draws the katana at her side, and awaits the next attack from the lycan. Genevieve gasps slightly, and winces inwardly, as she views this 'fight'.

I began sniffing the air, searching out Ki's particular scent. when I found it, I turned rapidly towards Ki and began growling, lip pulled back. Despite the rage I was feeling, I waited for the pack to arrive, to assist me. An old friend of mine, Two Moons by name, tickled my mind with her presence, saying Almost there, brother, almost there.

"No, no, no, no..." Genevieve whispers to herself, quietly. Knowing full well the energy it took to teleport as such, she was doubting that her sister would live. Teleportation was anything but easy, and was painful; one that had trained and honed their skills would be able to stand the pain, but was still wiped of their energy.

Ki, slightly annoyed, draws a dagger, and telekinetically sends it flying at Alberon's head, quite fast, but she had used up most of the remaining bits of energy she had.

I managed to leap out of the way, but still recieved a slash on my right shoulder. No matter, the pack was here now, just outside. I began stalking forward, growling as I backed Ki towards the door.

Having focused on the dagger, Ki lost her balence and fell from the rafters, only to land on her feet, her katana still drawn. She growls slightly, and backs away from Alberon, her eyes narrowed.

I charged one last time, hoping to push her through the doors and into the waiting fangs of my brethern. I lept forward off my back legs, not willing to trust my front. I managed to make contact, but tumbled on my right leg, crashing into Ki and turning the both of us into a ball of fur and fangs.

The katana loosened itself from Ki's grip as Alberon ran into her, knocking them both into the door, sending them outi with Alberon landing on top of Kiari. Genevieve stood and rushed to the door and stood back fro the threshold, watching the scene enfold before her.

I snapped at Ki's face, still fully in the grip of my rage. Th other wolvs begn closing in around as I backed off, waiting for her to get up. Hamstring and throat, that was how a wolf pack killed.

Ki spit at the feet of Alberon, as she stood, her katana returning to her hand. She snarls as she glances around, her eyes narrowed.

"I know she's unbearable, but please..!" Gene spoke softly, her voice cracking, tears flooding her eyes.

In the end, it wasn't Gene's words that touched me, but the viciousness in the eyes of the rest of the pack. I had to force myself back to humanity, but I did. I was panting, sweaty, and exhausted, but back. As I saw Ki on tyhe ground, my eyes widened at the thoght of what I'd almost done. I mentally snapped to the wolves Go away, I can handle this myself. They seemed reluctant, but did as I asked. My right arm felt like it was on fire, so I slowly walked towards Ki, left arm extended to help her up. "Sorry" I managed to get out between breaths.

Ki used Alberon's hand to help her up, as Gene ran from the doorway and glomped him, smiling through her tears, trying to forget what could have happened. "Thank you," she whispered.

"You're welcom" I replied, Stroking Gene's hair again and relying on her for almost all my support. Thinking of what I'd almost done, of the ferocity I'd felt...Why did I have to be this way?

Burying her face in Alberon's neck, Gene giggles.

"Gah, I can't stay... Maman expects me back, but maybe she'll send Papa. Then you should watch out, wolf boy," Kiari spits at his feet, before turning on her heel, and with a whirl of a cloak, she disappears.

I paid no mind to Ki's words, although they did sober me a bit. Nonetheless, I continued to hold Gene, even began to feel a bt better about almost killing someone. I whispered to Gene "Let's get inside, it's rather chilly."

Genevieve takes Alberon's hand in her own, quickly lacing their fingers. She pulls him into the Tavern, and to a couch facing the hearth. She sits, and pats the seat next to her, willing him to sit as well.

I obliged, sinking into the soft leather beside Gene. I winced as I did, though, and asked "Do you have any bandages? My arm's in pretty bad shape." I tried hard to put a smile on, so as not to worry her, but had a nasty feeling that I didn't really succeed.

"There's bandages behind the bar," Genevieve said, standing up quickly. She hurries over to the bar and leans over the dark counter, before grabing a black, wooden box, and retaking her seat beside Alberon. "Lemme see your arm..." She smiles, as she removes a small roll of bandages, from the box, and looks over his arm.

I carefully rolled up the sleeve to my right shoulder, displaying the wound on my uopper arm. It was surprisingly deep, considering the knife had been thrown.

"Owie," Gene smiles slightly as she takes a small container of clear balm from the box, and applies some of the salve to the cut, before tightly wrapping the bandages around the cut. "All better," she murmurs, before rolling his sleeve back down, and looks up at him, smiling softly.
