Even though I don't update the list as soon as a new person signs up, I do keep track on people's progress.
I usually let a few people pile up between updates. Mainly because I end up getting sidetracked and busy a lot.
So I only update when I find some free time for it because I'm also updating my other challenges as well at the same time ^^
Besides, I still got my challenges to deal with and post updates on xD

Ah I see, that makes sense. If it's acceptable, I'd like to sign up for a second challenge so that I have one for my GBC as well. I'm not in any hurry to complete these, in fact I enjoy taking my time with them.

Yup, you're allowed to use your starter until you can get your first Era pokémon/type ^^

Progress update for Jurassic Jam on LeafGreen:

Cleared out the trainers on the way to Bill's house, also did a spot of EV training for TYRANT the Charmeleon. Met Bill, lent a hand, and got the S.S. Ticket. Headed to Misty's gym.

Had to leave to heal after each trainer at the gym, but took down all the pokemon in there with BELLAHBUZZ the Beedrill. Except for a Shellder, but STUNNER the Butterfree downed it with confusion.

Got TM28 Dig from a Rocket. Tried to return it to its owner, but he didn't want it back, apparently. Battled my way to Vermilion City and got an old rod.

I'm considering catching a Magikarp to evolve, but I'm worried about my team being vulnerable to electric and rock types. I may keep Charmeleon from evolving until I can diversify my team a bit more.

EV training takes so long without macho brace & pokerus! I'm considering just keeping my team as is until I beat Giovanni and get the macho brace. I would just need to have an HM slave and to make the bugs could soak up EVs that I don't want TYRANT to have.

As a side note, am I allowed to have my mom save my money then use items she buys for me? It's technically not using the mart it self, so I think it should be okay.

Also, if there is an "era types" allowed, and "era types banned", what about the other types? Confused me a bit.

Yeah, you can use your mom to save up money for you and buy you stuff.
And the types that aren't mentined can only be used if they dual type with an Era type. Otherwise, you're supposed to stick to using the Era types and the mandatory Pokemon

OK cool. Guess it's time to hit the slots. In other news, I have updates to post! My DS isn't with me, so I can't give exact levels or movesets for my team right now. I'll write them down and edit this post first chance I get.

Progress update for Jurassic Jam on LeafGreen:

Well, I went ahead and caught a Magikarp and named her THRASHELLA. I used the trainers on the S.S. Anne to get the fishy up to Lv. 19. I thumped Gary again. It's what he gets for being a braggart. After that I helped the Captain and got an HM. I also looked in the trash can even though I knew better.

Lt. Surge's gym was no problem at all. I used BELLABUZZ to KO pretty much every opponent, although TYRANT had to step in when I battled Lt. Surge. After getting my third badge, I walked through Diglett's tunnel to get HM05 Flash. THRASHELLA evolved along the way, giving me exactly the 10 entries in my Pokedex that I needed to get the HM.

The next jaunt was through the Rock Tunnel, and I was very glad that I decided to raise that Magikarp. All of my Pokémon were low on HP and nearly out of PP by the time I reached the end. I skipped an item or two near the end of the tunnel, which I'll probably go back for.

I stopped briefly at the Name Rater's house in Lavender, and officially changed my Beedrill's name to BELLAHBUZZ. I then skipped all the trainers but one on my way to Celadon. I obtained the Tea from the old lady and an Eevee from the dude on the top floor. Eevee's name is FOX.

Progress update for Medieval Era on Silver:

I've done a lot on this game, so I'm gonna shorten this description a lot.

To beat Falkner's flying-type gym, I raised a Gastly (SPOOKSTER) and a Zubat (SKREE). SPOOKSTER's Hypnosis was instrumental in my victory.

On my way to Azalea, I caught and Ekans (SERPENTINA). SKREE solo'ed Bugsy's gym, and there was much gloating. I used the Old Rod to catch a Tentacool (SPOON) in New Bark Town.

I searched every tree in Azalea and Route 32 looking for a Heracross tree, and found only Aipom trees. Very upset, but I'm not restarting now. I'm not sure what to do about Mahogany's Ice-type gym now... guess I'll figure it out later. I did catch an Exeggcute (BENEDICTA) just for the heck of it.

After I reached Goldenrod and did some training in the National Park, both SKREE and SERPENTINA had evolved. I skipped several of the trainers in order to save the XP for the Umbreon I plan to get. For the first time ever, I defeated Whitney's Miltank with ease, and in one try.

So then it was on to the next town, where I met Bill. I followed him back to Goldenrod, and put the Eevee he gave me (named it FOX) into the Daycare with a Ditto. I got an egg and a little baby Eevee (also named it FOX). During the hatching process, SKREE gained a lot of happiness and became a Crobat. SKREE solo'ed his second Gym, and I lol'ed in Morty's face.

Following that victory, I took on the Kimono Girls. Some old guy gave me the Surf HM. Before setting out for Olivine, I gave FOX some training (and several haircuts) and he evolved into an Umbreon.

Jeez the choice is limited in Johto. There's I think two bug-types above 115 defense that are not mega-evolutions. Forretress and Shuckle. Shuckle is not a tough-looking pokemon at all, and even though Forretress isn't really either in my opinion I don't have any choice :I.

EDIT: Also not using my starter 'cause that's boring. By the way: just noticed I have no water types, so I'm gonna search for one.

Progress update for Medieval Era on Silver

Spent a long time gambling and an even longer time grinding to get the Dratini I bought up to Lv 20. Her name is WIGGALEESA. I do love dragons, but I don't love how long it takes to level them up.

Cleared out the Lighthouse and spoke with Jasmine. Defeated most of the swimmers on my way to Cianwood. Solo'ed Chuck's gym with SKREE. Got HM02 Fly. Defeated the rest of the swimmers (I think) on the return trip. Got a Moon Stone from the mother unit and used it to evolve KING LEE.

Sold some hold items and a couple of TMs that I didn't think I'd use in order to buy Fire Punch from Goldenrod Department Store. I then taught Fire Punch to KING LEE, and returned to Olivine to challenge Jasmine. First, I had WIGGALEESA Dragon Rage Jasmine's two Magnemite. Then I sent out FOX to soften up her Steelix with Confuse Ray, Leer, and Sand-Attack. KING LEE finished off the Steelix, and I was glad to have purchased Fire Punch.

So then it was on to the Lake of Rage, where I wasted my two Great Balls catching a Gyarados that I can't use... just because it was shiny. Lance asked me to help him out and I said no. He just stared at me until I said yes. During the process of kicking out the Rockets from Mahogany Town, WIGGALEESA evolved into a Dragonair. I briefly thought about catching the Electrode instead of fainting them, but fainted them anyway and blamed it on fate.

FOX basically solo'ed Pryce's gym with Cut, Confuse Ray, and Sand-Attack. I let SKREE do a few battles in there as well. I was planning on replacing SKREE with a Skarmory once I hit Route 45, but I think I'll just take them both with me since SKREE is so ridiculously strong. Next stop: the Radio Tower in Goldenrod, where incompetent goons are up to no good.

Cleared out all the rockets in Goldenrod and then rescued the Director. I then blazed through the ice path with SKREE, and headed down to route 45 to catch a Skarmory that I named MAZER.

I sold some vitamins and TM43 Detect to pick up Ice Punch and Thunderpunch from the department store, and taught them both to KING LEE. KING LEE basically solo'ed Claire's gym. I'm feeling confident about being prepared for the elite four.
