• caught a staravia to fly if need be, insta boxed it

1. After the gym battle, headed out towards the next town
2. Had some fun at Slateport and Mauville
3. Went on to battle Wattson
4. Took me about 50 (legit) battles to beat his Magneton and gained 10 levels for each Pokemon in doing so
5. Got involved with Team Magma
6. Encountered them at Meteor Falls and beat Maxie
7. Arrived at Lavaridge and after a while figuring out the puzzle, got to Flannery
8. Beat her with ease

First update for Emerald run

• Started the game and chose torchic, named her ninChicken
• made my way to may and defeated her
• made my way to Petalburg and met my father. which led to the wally event
• went through the forrest and caught a Shroomish (named weed), to be evolved to become fighting
• evolved torchic and made my way to the first gym, beat it with nothing but double kick

• on the way out a thief ran by. while saving the day I ran into a man who is now letting me take his boat to Dewford
• when there I made my way through the cave to deliver the letter. I also caught makuhita here
• challenged the gym and scored a victory after one loss (got critted so often first fight) (forgot to screenshot)
• went to slateport on the boat where I found team aqua lining up at the museum. shortly there after I battled there, but since everything is made out of adimantium nothing was destroyed
• went north and ran into May, earned victory without a problem
• found wally in front of the gym, so we took part in a fair 1 v 3 battle
• went into the gym and found victory.

Sometimes I wonder if Murkrow is really my favourite Pokémon... and then I use one on my team.

I got stuck on Burgh in B2, so I decided to temporarily jump over to Crystal, since I was eager to play those games anyway. I obtained a Murkrow and used it in place of my starter, since of course there are no Dark-types available before entering Ecruteak... and so far, I'll be honest, I think this is going to be a solo run, because Murkrows make everything ludicrously easy. However, just 'cause I would feel like I was cheating if I didn't "legitimately" obtain one Pokémon, I'm going to run doubles with Murkrow and Umbreon.

Crystal: 1/16 (SWAGGICUS the Murkrow, HM slaves JELLY the Poliwag and KAWAII the Spinarak)
B2: 2/8 (LIEPARD, SCRAGGY, SANDILE -- I'm really ??? on Sandile because I've used one before and I'm trying to experiment with new Pokémon here. May switch it out for a Larvitar at some point so I can still have Earthquake.)

Dark Single Monotype Challenge: Emerald

Update #3:

I finally did it. After working so hard with this team, all of our battles, all of our victories, all of our losses, we are the champions. I have to give my 2 biggest appreciations to Mightyena and Absol, they were the ones who dominated the E4; Mightyena and Absol remained unscathed after the first 2 battles of the E4 and they both managed to defeat all of the first 2 E4 members' Pokemon by themselves. Still, I cannot stress enough how much the others were of use in the journey. Sableye was the one who got me through the gym battles, through all the struggles up to Ever Grande City. From Victory Road onwards, however, it was Mightyena and Absol. Sableye was the first to shine and his last attack won me the Pokemon League; Shock Wave on Gyarados. Shiftry also starred in the journey, he would be the one sweeping teams, the one who did the business when it needed to be done. It took a while for me to get hold of a Leaf Stone, Nuzleaf only managed to evolve at level 40 to a Shiftry. For Crawdaunt and Cacturne, well these 2 are my little cuties. Cacturne, wow, was only a level 20 Cacnea when I got him after defeating the 8th gym, I have no idea how you managed to level up this much, but it wasn't as much of a challenge as it was fun. I caught Corphish after Victory Road, I had to get my booty back in there to evolve you and all, little ripper! Crawdaunt was the lowest leveled in the end, but he still burst some bubbles in the E4. He managed to take out a few Pokemon himself and I am impressed, I couldn't ask of anything more. Thank you my little ones for the amazing adventure~
