Update for Final Ultimate Monotype Challenge - Water!

Update #4 on Black 2.

• Well, it's been a while since my last update, but I am attempting to at least defeat Iris once by the 12th ;).
• Started in Lentimas Town, and quickly made my way through Reversal Mountain to Undella Town.
• Went surfing off the shore of Undella Town for Ruby the Staryu, my final team member.
• Fought trainers I skipped earlier to help train Ruby up, and eventually defeated Tyson.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• After a couple more trainers, I decided to use my Water Stone to evolve Ruby into Starmie!
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Bought Thunder and Blizzard in Lacunosa Town, then took on Zinzolin alongside Tyson.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Eventually reached Opelucid City, and went vitamin hunting at Shopping Mall Nine.
• After defeating the rest of the trainers around the city, I was iching for some real competition!
• Drayden ended up being soloed by Torrent's Blizzard attack though, haha.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Team Plasma attacked after we exited the gym, and I took care of Zinzolin again, solo this time.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• The shadow Triad stole the DNA Splicer (sneaky bastards!) so I went chasing after them, all the way to Himalau City.
• After some more training, we took on Marlon, who wasn't too hard to handle.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Went to Route 32 and got the Colress Machine, and while I was in the area, I found a shiny Amoonguss!

Just got pokemon x and decided to do a monotype challenge. So I will do a dark monotype challenge

To make it a bit harder I will also follow a couple of optional rules.
Optional rule # 1 : when challenging gym leaders I will not use more pokemon than what the gym leader has. Ex. If the gym leader only has 2 pokemon then I may only use 2 pokemon as well.
Optional rule # 2: I can't use any pokemon against a gym leader that is more than 3 levels above the gym leader's highest leveled pokemon.

I have good news! I have gotten the first encounters list updated, and every single type in the game is obtainable before the 3rd gym. Even before the 2nd gym it seems! So, no Monotypes in X and Y are going to permit importing, trading, or hacking in Pokemon for you teams.

Update for Final Ultimate Monotype Challenge - Water!

Update #5 on Black 2.

We came, we saw, we conquered Round 1!

• Left off in the Giant Chasm, where I boarded the Frigate and defeated all the Grunts in there, leaving me with the masters.
• Zinzolin was easy by now, I barely broke a sweat.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Colress was a little harder, but I was able to take him down without too much trouble. We will see him again, though.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Got into Ghetsis' office and listened to his speech for an audience of one, then Tyson showed up, as did the Shadow Triad.
• Defeated them, and went after Ghetsis into the depths of the Chasm.
• N and his Zekrom saved me from being impaled (!) by Kyurem, but Ghesis used the DNA Splicers to create Black Kyurem.
• Defeated the Black Kyurem, then took on Ghetsis. He put up a fight, but a nice crit took care of Eelektross, his only real threat.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Went to Victory Road and fought my way up the mountain, where Tyson was waiting, and defeated him.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Finally it was time for the Elite Four, but before that came moveset finalizing and a little EV shopping in Join Avenue.
• Entered the Pokemon League castle, and Grimsley was my first victim. Torrent and Piranha teamed up nicely here.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Caitlin was next. Aquaman did well in the beginning, then Piranha and Archelon cleaned up the rest.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Shauntal was surprisingly easy. Aquaman dominated here until he fell to Bannete, and Archelon finished it.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Marshall is normally one of the toughest fights in the Elite Four, but not this time. Ruby soloed with Psychic.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Finally, the Champion, Iris, was up. It took every team member I had, but Ruby finished strong to win.
