RED MONONORMAL UPDATE #1

- Chose Charmander as my starter.
- Done the parcel quest, went back to Viridian, and bought Pokéballs.
- Caught Wing the level 3 Pidgey in Route 1. Released Charmander.
- Caught Biter the level 3 Rattata in Route 1.
- Caught Pecka the level 5 Spearow in Route 22.
- Trained my Pokémon. Biter level 10, Wing level 10, Pecka level 9.
- Biter easily defeated my Rival without any help.
- Trained. Biter level 13, Wing level 11.
- Faced and defeated Brock, thanks to Wing's Sand Attack.
- Trained on my way to Cerulean. Biter level 22 and evolved into Raticate, Wing level 20 and evolved into Pidgeotto, Pecka level 17.
- Biter easily defeated my Rival's Pokémon on his own.
- Trained on may way to meet Bill. Biter level 24, Wing level 23, Pecka level 23 and evolved into Fearow.
- Biter breezed through the Cerulean Gym with his Hyper Fang.
- Travelled to Vermillion City and trained on the S.S. Anne. Biter level 30, Wing level 27, Pecka level 26.
- Caught a level 14 Oddish (HM SLAVE FOR CUT)
- Pecka and Wing were able to defeat the Vermillion Gym Trainers, and Biter took out Lt. Surge with his Hyper Fang.
- Trained through Routes 9, 10 and Rock Tunnel (without Flash). Biter level 34, Wing level 29, Pecka level 29.
- Currently in Lavender Town, about to head towards Celadon.

Ground Update 5: Black

I will go into small detail this time.

Spoiler:

- After leaving Driftveil Gym, I continued to Route 6, and beat Bianca.

- I beat all the trainers on the route and in Chargestone Cave, my team was levels 35-36 afterward.
- Meanwhile, Palpitoad evolved.

- I beat N at the end with Ferroseed giving me trouble(as the only moves I had were Physical).

- I made it to Mistralton City, and beat everyone on Route 7 and Celestial Tower, and made Skyla return to her gym.
- Excadrill was level 36, and Krokorok and Seismitoad were level 39 at this point.
- I solo'd everyone in her gym, including her, with Excadrill's Rock Slide.

- I went back to Twist Mountain, and Cheren challenged me to a battle.

- And after the battle, Krokorok evolved.

- After getting Surf from Alder, I went to Route 17 and 18 and beat everyone there, and then did the same for everyone in Twist Mountain.
- At this point, Excadrill was level 41, and Krookodile and Seismitoad were level 44.
- I, again, solo'd Brycen's entire gym with Rock Slide.

- I continued on to Dragonspiral Tower, and caught a Golett.

- Golett beat every Plasma Grunt in Dragonspiral Tower and Relic Castle and eventually evolved.

- Golurk beat some more trainers on Route 8, and eventually caught up in level, I trained a little before fighting Bianca, she was really tough, especially her Serperior.
- I finally beat her after she made Golurk and Seismitoad faint.
- I forgot to take a "I won" pic, but here is right after the battle.

I saved here because I needed a break, I might update again later today, or maybe tomorrow.

It's been ages since i beat Sinnoh in my ultimates of Bug and Water, but i've finaly gotten my hands on a 5th gen game i can freely play challenges on ^_^ I have proceeded to continue with Bug on White 2!

UMC Bug, Unova: Update 1

I started the last part of my bug-type journey...
- With my stater Surfboard

the Oshawott
- After some introductions, i caught Beleafe

the lv. 3 Sewaddle
- Once he

learned Bug Bite the first gym was a piece of cake
- I got to the further part of route 20 to catch a Venipede
- After it nearly wiped me out i finally caugt Stampede

the lv. 10 Venipede
- I did some Audino training to get Stampede

ready, and then challenged the 2nd gym
- Koffing was first weakened by Beleafe

, and then went down to Stampede's

3rd Rollout, resulting in the next turn Whirlipede being OHKO'ed by the 4th ^^
- In lv. 20 Beleafe evolved

@WarriorCat Thx for the support. :) As for what type you should do next, it'd be cool to see someone post an electric type monotype, because out of the first three pages I've read on this thread, there were barely any signs of any electric types, so that'd be pretty interesting.As for my challenge, I might start tomorrow on Blue. And to anyone still doing this challenge, good luck to all. This seems like a fun, but frustrating challenge. ;)

I finished up Platinum, I've been playing for about 2 hours. :)
The gym battle against Candice was the toughest battle in all of my Ground Monotype. :(
Her Abomasnow started the Hail, then I OHKO'd it, then Froslass, with it's fast speed, was spamming Blizzard (100% accuracy from Hail), I managed to win with Whiscash at 4 HP, which finally OHKO'd it with a Critical Hit Surf.

Alright, then, I have my very first update, and I'm happy to say that I made a lot of progress.:) Here is what happened so far in my fire monotype: I went through the usual beginning crap we all know and love :p (How cool of you to let me venture on my own, mommy.), I pick Charmander as my starter (Self-explanitory) and nicknamed it Slendy, and at this point, I realised that I didn't withdraw my potion (facepalm), but that's okay because we whooped rival ass anyway ( Because of his stupidity in that he only used tail whip the whole time.), then IN withdrew the potion, and did the rest of the intro errands. As soon as those were done and the pokedex was my, I grinded Slendy to level 10, and it was time to beat Gary again. Gary, like he always does, comes out of nowhere and had the same idea in mind. Pefect how the most annoying part about this battle was Sand-Attack. T_T Anyway, Slendy and Ikicked his ass a second time, like he expects to always win. Going through Viridian Forest was the easiest thing yet(duh!), and the moment I arrived in Pewter City, I healed Slendy and went to go kick Brock's ass for his gym badge. Of course I was at a disaventage, but Geodude's and Onix's special are low, so it didn't take that long to beat him. Basically, Slendy embered as much as possible. Geodude went down in 4 embers, and I got 3 critical hits on Onix, so Onix didn't take much longer to take down, luckily. With Brock at my mercy, he handed me my first gym badge. 1 down, 7 to go. Good news, not too long later, on route 3, Slendy evolved. Yay :). Slendy wrecked Route 3 and left a trail of flames behind. As far as Mt Moon is concerned, I have travelled into Mt. Moon, and hopefully, by tonight or tomorrow, I can reach Cerulean City. Current party is: Slendy the Charmeleon Lvl.22 with: Scratch, Growl, Ember, and Leer. The other Pokemon I am going to get are: Vulpix, Flareon, and Ponyta. I know what moveset I'm planning for Rapidash only, and I'm thinking about: Flamethrower, Fire Spin, Agility, and Double Team. Update #2 is quite tragic... let's get to it. I got through the rest of Mt. Moon, where I saved in front of the child moles... erm, I mean the hiker that sits in front of the ladder to go down to the bottom floor, and cremed everyone there. Exiting Mt. Moon and arriving at Cerulean, I heal up at the PokeCenter and decide to capture my first two hm slaves: Rattata and Spearow. Afterwards, Slendy goes on a rampage at the Nugget Bridge and defeats everyone. When Nugget Bridge was nothing but smetherens, I pay Misty. Oh, btw, I beat Gary in one attempt, of course. Gary seriously needs to train up more. Upon asking to battle Misty, I was prepared to win or lose, one or the other. Unfortunatly, Starmie is freakin overpowered and whooped Slendy's ass. She stripped me of over 11,000 Pokeyen, or whatever. Seriously, Nintendo, give me Super Potions already! I guess that's what happens when you fight a Lvl.21 Starmie with a Lvl. 27 Charmeleon. I guess it's time to grind Slendy up a few levels... any suggestions on movesets are welcome, and hopefully the next battle with Misty won't be as bad. I really feel like right now this isn't a monotype. :p Anyway, I'm off to train Slendy to Lvl.30, and current party is: Slendy the Charmeleon Lvl.27 with: Scratch, Mega Punch, Ember, and Rage(which is what I'm filled with, but then again it is a challenge). Update #2 ¨[...] I guess it's time to grind Slendy up a few levels... any suggestions on movesets are welcome...

I'd suggest just skipping her for now and going to S.S. Anne to train, since you can move on as soon as you have visited Bill. While there, remember to get the Body Slam TM for a future team member.
